@potent ivy but what would make it like this? All my gear is 4+ years old and it only started happening recently

Not sure. Similar thing happened to me. Maybe a driver update or something in the Nvidia control panel being silly. I just set that to let application decide now.

max cpu usage 80%

it's an i7 7700k 4.2ghz oc to 4.5ghz

i dont see why it would be limiting

still playing on 200-300fps while stuttering as well

i ran my 3770k from 3.7ghz to 4.7ghz and was still bottlenecking

and try updating drivers

The stuttering does not correlate with cpu usage spiking

any other ideas?
