guessing it's because of permissions to access the photo library, is it a particular app that's not working or is it not working for everything?

Try deleting a unimportant photo and see if it will let you take another

like physical storage on ur phone or icloud? u can check the physical storage under general in settings then storage

i took a photo

and it was blacked out on the camera app
