I was changing my thermal paste I slight pulled to stock amd cooler on which my cpu was also stuck but managed to remove that but I can see the slot to the small metal rod is sadly broken What can I do ?

U could switch the plastic.

Honestly, if the CPU still fits fine and the lever still operates & stays closed, it doesn't really matter. Just be mindful when you ever remove the cooler again.

@cobalt creek you can tell the lever still works if you can see the gold bits inside the socket move around when lowering the lever
