#Video stuttering when gaming, running any type of video, and streaming to discord

Only thing I can think of is that you’re overloading your nvenc encoder
Can you provide more information on this?
Can you send a screenshot of task manager?
I have a friend with an 8th gen intel and a 1080ti who can run everything just fine
Once I get home yes
10 series doesn’t have nvenc, so his rig will probably use the cpu (built in encoder if his cpu has that) for video
But task manager has a graph for video encode and decode, so that will show you if it’t being maxed out or not
If so, is there a fix?
Maybe a browser extension like h.264ify can do the trick
Are you sure your internet speed can keep up?
also, bit off topic because it wont be that probably 😄 even if you have 6000 speed ram, it will not run by default at 6000mhz. You will have to enable XMP in bios first if you have not done that yet
Good addition
Great
You’ll be shocked how many people leave performance on the table because of that
I have another friend with a 3060 and a bit older cpu and he can also run these tasks just fine
Strange
it can also be the SSD that does not keep up because of problems?
You’re using chrome right?
Don’t think that’s the case, youtube buffers directly into ram
Both chromium based, try firefox
I have an nvme
7000 r/w speeds
I think I had someone with the same issue a while back
Let me see if I can find that thread again
its weird that it only happens while streaming in discord
Can’t find it, but I think firefox didn’t have the issue
Once I get home from work I will try Firefox and that will give me some more insight
👍🏻
Your cpu has video encoders and decoders too, maybe they are being used instead of the gpu’s encoders
But intels encoders should be able to handle this too
Yes, another thing I was looking into was disabling the E cores
And only running P cores
But people were saying I could run into issues so I decided against that
Don’t think you should do that, they’re great for background task. I think the E cores now are equivalent to 4th gen actual cores so they’re pretty capable
6/7 th gen actually
But let us know when you’re home so we can take a closer look
I took out 2 sticks of ram and my problem went away
My new question is how can I make this possible with all 4 sticks of ram installed?
nothing changed
Memtest could be faulty memory?
