Snipping Tool immediately being minimized to taskbar after a snip?

Normally after using the Snipping Tool to take a screenshot of a small window, it would open up with the actual image immediately afterwards. However, it would disappear after doing the screenshot, so i thought it would hide behind another window, which i was also using at the time. However, after closing all windows, and doing a snip, I realized it was being minimized to taskbar after doing the snip...

I looked in the settings and saw nothing about "minimize after snip"

How do i fix this? it's never happened before.

might have happened due to the latest windows update

I entered some feedback to the OS on this issue. hopefully next windows update it will be fixed 🤷‍♂️

i dont want to print screen, snipping tool is much better in some cases

besides, i have 2 monitors, it would immediately print both monitor screens lmao

prt sc is the keyboard button for it, yes it means print screen

i want to know why the snipping tool is doing that, and how to fix it, i has never done it before. just coming on and telling me to just use something else isn't helping dude

its faster than typing screen snip in the search bar, they are the same function. as far as i know if you screenshot with copy automatically you can select a new one right away there is no minimization
