I just opened my laptop and BOOM my wallpaper was an error screen with "kirjaudu windowsiin" translated from finnish to "login to windows", when I try to press the login icon, windows tries to get into the pin entering part, but instead is a black screen with my cursor on it, after a few seconds comes the same problem again and again, I already tried rebooting and it didn't work.
(The laptop I use is already nearly 10 years old so that might just be it, it was working perfectly just yesterday, and I also have had some hard drive problems in the past)

ok, reinstall windows? if that ain't working, replace harddrive?

Reinstalling windows would mean I will lose all of my important files, same with harddrive replacement

Great hook it up to another PC and get those files out of there

remove HDD / SSD
put it it in new PC.
transfer files.
put it back in old pc , and see if a new installation helps.
