Oh and my system is uefi and read if I want secure boot it would need to be fat anywasd just looking for a second opinion

when you run the windows installation media software, it will format the USB as fat32. you do not need to format your media in advance. just run the installation media and wait for it to complete.
I dont think there is ever an option to chose a different format.
Ah okay thanks I formated it first since I had old data on it. That shouldn't make a difference then if I used the creation tool right after?
Not at all, hell you can add a folder for your systems drivers and windows will still install properly.
Alright so essentially I just formatted the media twice one manually and one with the media creation tool. Everything is working fine I was just worried about my manual format being fat32
wont make a difference at all. anything you did before the installation media ran has been wiped.
Ok good to know thanks. Nice to know atleast that the media tool prepares the USB drive for use
Properly
its a one click solution. well like 3 clicks but you get the idea
