This morning I got some new ram and swapped it out. After that nothing showed on the monitor. I have removed the cmos battery, changed back to the old ram to see if that worked and nothing. The PC has power and the cooler fan spins. I'm very worried. I use this computer for work so I'm in a bind here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
#Why won't my PC show on my monitor?

Does the pc show any error code? Could you provide a video of what happens?
It does not show an error code.
I'll get you a video
No beep noise
The vid is loading
I'm kinda wondering if I might have messed up the ram slots or something else on the motherboard
@narrow light should I just buy a new motherboard?
is the orange light behind the gpu normal? if not its indicating bad ram, try reseating the ram or just doing 1 stick of either one.
did you try different slots? dimm 1234?
Yes, mine only has 2 ram slots. Still got nothing from both
Don't know if there is a difference between the two
what model is your motherboard?
i looked up the board and it says that the fastest ram speed it accepts is 3200mhz so fore sure if you put 3600mhz of that gskill ram, it wont work. you can try clearing cmos by removing the battery waiting a few minuets and putting it back in to clear the bios to its default settings then booting again with your original ram
wait hold on, are those sticks the new ones you put in?
or is it just the one on the left
The tridentz are the new ones
ok so yeah you are both over the speed limit on the board and capacity, it can only do up to 32gb of ram not 64, if you need the ram for work id suggest then to upgrade the motherboard. i assume your doing something like video editing/cad/graphic design?
Actually not any of those. I work customer service from home but use this PC for pretty much everything.
But usually the customer service software we use is quite memory heavy
My plan is to buy a new motherboard and hopefully that fixes it
ok
just make sure the asus board you get supports at least 3600mhz and 64gb of memory
what is your cpu?
what motherboard?
