Assuming it's a SATA drive, you plug it into a SATA data cable that hooks up to the motherboard, and a SATA power cable from the power supply.
I have a b550 motherboard will it have 2 sata data cables
It's going to have at least 2 SATA ports. Whether you still have the cables is on you
The cables aren't built into the board
Are these the sata data drives?
those are fan headers.
or memory slots, dunno what you're referring to here
what board do you have?
there are a lot of b550's. Regardless, sata ports look like this:
Just look at what your current SSD is plugged into.
Its an asus b550
if I had to guess, probably here-ish behind the video card.
ASUS makes a lot of b550 boards.
those are the ones.
if you don't have a SATA cable they're not too expensive
Do you already have the SSD?
I have an ssd already in
This is the other want i want to put in
huh, never heard of that one before. Regardless, it'll hook up the same as any other 2.5" SATA SSD.
So it will use this plugin along with the sata data drive?
That type of connection, yes.
Same one hooked up to your current SSD. Probably another one on the same cable too
Easier if you open up the back of the case instead of the side, since you can get to the cables from there.
Well ill look at prices for the data cables
