me
same OS?
I use windows 11 pro he uses 10. Would that have a huge effect? I remember it being the same before I switched, because I hoped for an improvement.
Is your ram running xmp
whats the fps difference between u and him
click esc+shift+ctrl
Mine goes to the 180s often but hovers 200s-210s while his is consistently 200-230
was something supposed to happen
Seems like your xmp is enabled
your ram speeds are fine
they perform the same
could it just be my gpu isnt good at running valorant?
almost
ok
no,
how old is ur pc
and how old is his
did u buy used parts
When under load what temperatures do you get
brand new. I built it a few weeks ago. His is a year old, and I bought all brand new
around 100-120 degrees Fahrenheit on valorant.
it doesnt struggle with it though
In C
I'm American and I use Celsius for computers
37 to 48 is good
waiit
where does your freind live
does he live far away from u
cuz like
when u play on servers other side of the world u can get fps issues
Near me, were in the same neighborhood
I use a wifi stick he uses ethernet
ah
he gets 300mbps, I get 100
I cant
why?
Ethernet vs Wi-Fi wouldn't affect FPS
wdym
I should invest in it?
sometimes, bad wifi does make ur gameplay laggy
i noticed alot of difference when i switched to ethernet
I get around 30 ping, which is the same as him
try ethernet cable
wait
its just a cable
connect it to your router
my router and my pc are in differennt rooms
get like a 30m cable
bro my router is in my parents room
i run it through the house for it to reach my room heh
Your computer pumps out the frames, the internet sends packets of information like where you player is
I could technically run a super long ethernet cable under my house and into my room
through the doors will do
i mean its deffo worth a try in my book
for me i noticed a huge bump in performance
wait
is ur valorant already smooth
then u might not notice much
I dont currently have a cable but Ill consider buying one. I feel like since my parts are better (PSU, GPU, Motherboard) I should get more
they're inexpensive
maybe 10 dollars for a long one
get a long one, its always better than having one thats too short
its super smooth but I want to be able to run higher performing games and I want to make sure my computer can run them as best as it can
maybe 30 meters
also what monitor
is monitor same for both yall
and same res
I dont know his exact model, but its a $100-$150 ROG Strix 27 inch
