Hi there.
I recently had to do a warranty swap from CMW32GX4M2C3200C16 to the CMH32GX4M2E3200C16 at my local distributor. However I am totally unable to get it to be stable at XMP speeds (even loosening timings did not work) They asked me to reach out to corsair instead as they didn't had any other alternatives.
Reaching out to Corsair, the rep is being highly insistent I need to clear bios (even tho I've reset bios to default settings multiple times during testing) I intend to comply and get the battery out ( I run an open loop so removing the CMOS battery is very difficult and I've been using the clear CMOS battery jumper) and test but the rep mentioned something that seems odd/wrong and I would like to get that clarified.
They mentioned to test the sticks with XMP individually and see if it's stable like that and if they're stable individually it mean limitation lies within the motherboard or CPU. From what I know doing it like that just means the RAM is only running in single channel mode and doesn't show as he mentioned the limitation of this being the CPU/Mobo. Would like to clarify if this is a legit way to actually troubleshooting ram incompatibility/stability and if what they're saying actually holds water
