#No GPU output after weird behavior

Alright so my gpu just died I assume. I was playing Gold rush on max settings (first time I played gold rush on this machine), and all of a sudden the screens turn black and my fans (or just my cpu fans I couldn’t tell) go to 100%, I still had audio for a second but then that cut out. I tried restarting the PC but the fans kept running at 100%, I mean it never stopped and shutting down the pc didn’t work so I clicked of the power supply to save my fans. Now I can’t get any video output from my graphics card, booted into windows via my mb graphics and checked system information, but it didn’t recognize anything… I’ve got a 360mm rad with three 120mm fans in a well ventilated case, so I don’t think it could be the cpu overheating. Can anyone confirm my suspicion of my gpu dying or any tests or really anything I can do?

Go to device manager, does the gpu show up in there as a display adapter?

#

If not, yep, it might be dead.

Do a chkdsk /F on your C: drive though, it might be just that the drivers were corrupted.

#

And try reinstalling display drivers for the gpu.

#

Warranty should cover you if you can rule out driver issues.

#

So if you rule out software issues, then it's a hardware issue, and that's covered by warranty.
