So I'm kinda having a hard time installing an SSD because it just won't go in the white thing to the left of the blue thingy, is there something wrong? Any tips that could help?

Wow cant believe nobody replied on such an easy step. The white plastic piece flips up. Its called a locking clip.
Step 1. Open the clip.
Step 2. Insert the cable fully.
Step 3. Close the clip and give the cable a tiny tug to see if its in correctly.
