#CPU overheating at idle (2-5% usage) and cool underload (80-90% usage)

Previously my cpu used to idle just fine at 30c but now it’s idling at 60c and climbs as high as 100c and crashes the pc.

If I benchmark it, the temp goes down and stays between 55c and 65c which is normal and I still get the same scores as before.

To eliminate fan variable, the fans are set to 100% at all times and it changes nothing, it still overheats, just slightly slower at idle.

@sand isle I’ve already remounted the cpu cooler. Nothing has changed since. And there’s no processes using up the cpu at idle

Try reinstalling your AMD drivers, somehow mine was running on like 2 year old drivers and I was running into strange issues

Did that and still same problem, I’ve reinstalled windows, updated bios, reset bios as welll @split karma

Have you tried to clear CMOS data? Might as well give it a shot
