locked out of being able to use mic on windows

there probably is a way to allow access through registry edits but i don't know how to do it specifically for the microphone (i used edits to enable task bar hiding on an inactivated windows installation)

I check regedit and it says allow

not sure where else i can check

I double checked what was applied with shutupwindow10 and it reflects what's in the regedit
