#DDR4 or DDR5?

If going big might as well go big. 🤷♂️
Do you have any recommendations for DDR5 then? Because I don’t know anything about the new GEN
the kingston fury beast is insane at a relatively decent price that’s DDR5
you can get a 32gb kit but that’s just what i found immediately
Probably Kingston, and when it goes on sale it's basically the same price as their DDR4 anyway.
corsair is also a very reliable brand but i don’t know too much about their DDR5 stuff yet
@umbral pond
FYI you can delete all the tracking info after the ? in the url.

I got 64gb 3200c16 at the moment, what would be equivalent or better with ddr5?
ik i just couldn’t be arsed lol
you can literally get double speeds with ddr5, i believe up to 7000mhz? don’t quote me on that
64GB of DDR5 will be better regardless. I wouldn't stress over mhz, clock & timing.
a 64gb ddr5 kit is going to be very expensive tho
It's not like Gen 4 NVMe where half are basically just Gen 3 specs.
the best kit that i can find rn is this
Kingston FURY™ Renegade DDR5 RGB offers speeds of 6000MT/s – 7200MT/s and kit capacities of up to 32GB. DDR5 features on-die ECC (ODECC) for improved stability at extreme speeds and dual 32-bit subchannels for increased efficiency.
32gb 7200mhz
but then again i’m not really looking properly ik there’s defo better kits out there but i’ve heard very good things about this
Even with /r/buildapcsales & Slickdeals the deals will only be 32GB 2x16 kits.
unfortunately this is true
