without charging on my laptop isnt able to even run 1080p yt videos properly , it keeps buffering

oh .. easy when you do not use your power your pc goes in power saving mode
so it would lower your TDP and lowers usage of power to your GPU. Probably using your other GPU , your internal IGPU on your processor
You could force it to run high performance on the power options

My laptop has a mux switch and currently was only using nvidea card, and couldn't even render 1080p without charging

Otherwise, hardware acceleration in chromium browsers sometimes causes issues. Either disable it, or change the Angle backend mode to D3D11 or OpenGL in chrome://flags. This might also work. HW acceleration is the last thing you want to disable as it causes higher load and worse performance in your browser.
