yeah someone need an expert here because i have the same issue
are you sure you are measuring in the same units because if you have 100mbit/s you would get 12 MB/s
actually let me rephrase 100mbit=12MB
im getting 8-9 mbit
and are supposed to get 100?
yes
when i re plugged the cable i got 100 for sometime
checked drivers?
how ?
? Wym
Yea but like how do I do that
I'm out RN so I'll Google it later
dont care
Ok google your motherboard name and download the driver for it
Do this when you are home
And download the appropriate driver for your Ethernet
Speed of internet depends on three things, the minimum viable internet speed you got on your part set by your ISP and the maximum speed of your crappiest tech part. Like a limiting router/ cable / bad WiFi connection .
Last thing depends on the limit the other party has you are downloading from
uh what
im not able to understand thatt
can u just explain it a bit more
i google serched the board i found the website but cant find the drivers
and where should i put them ?
also how to check where the drivers are ?
bump
@pastel ether by any chance you got msi dragon center?
ima download it
Oh the manufacturer's page for your motherboard in the drivers section there should be a link to download the latest ?network? drivers for your mobo
Or Google "<your mobo model> network drivers" and see what comes up
im at the page and cant see a place for drivers
Support > download and download realtek lan driver
ok i unzipped the file then what ?
Install
how ?
where should i install
There should be an .exe file in there
The default location that it wants to install in should be fine
i see one called setup ima click it
restarted did a speed test and same thing
Then I'm not sure what the issue could be
Maybe windows problems but it doesn't sound right
the weirdest thing was when i replugged the cable it was normal and then became bad again
I will sleep for a bit and if someone else can't help I will try to help more
Yeah that is really weird
Never had that problem
you can try to test the Ethernet cable on another pc, it's possible that it could be the problem. Although I doubt but doesn't hurt to try
things that i dont have another pc
Could be the cable is broken near the plug and needs a replug
i got the connecter thingy changed
and i had got a new wire
doubt a new wire is broken
yes
iv litterally tried everything thats there
No, no need of download, sometimes msi dragon center reduces network speed
Ah ok
so well what should i do
Contact your isp and explain the issue
If it’s not on your side it’s on the ISP side
Explain what you got and what you need to get and ask them to help you
Could be an configuration issue on their side
Could it be a hardware issue
Cause it happened since I got a new pc
Can be .. did you update your motherboard Ethernet drivers?
Go to motherboard website and install the latest drivers for your Ethernet card
Also don’t forget to call your isp ( internet service provider) to explain the issue
They can help you aswell
