So, i bought a used Ryzen 7 5800x and it turns out its vendor locked to Lenovo. (I tested it with an old Lenovo ThinkCentre) Is there a chance that, if i ship the CPU to AMD, that they can remove the vendor lock? Or maybe if i ship it to Lenovo since they have the key (?) for that.

The way vendor-locking works is it blows a fuse in the CPU

Nah jokes aside. as far as i know there is a little chip in the cpu that controls that. and not a fuse. tho im not sure. thats why ive been asking if it could be removed
