That's normal, but depending on the quality of monitor, this much may be bad. What is the model?

that looks really bad maybe if you bought a very cheap monitor but even then if it is a well known brand you could probably return it unless your camera overexposes it because of the lighting and makes it seem worse than it is

if you don't notice it with content on screen then the monitor is fine

and i don't know the difference between ips glow and backlight bleed but if it looks fine with something on screen then the monitor is okay and you don't have to worry. you might just have gotten a panel from the lower end of their quality control
