Download DDU from Guru3d and download the latest driver for your GPU from Nvidia, AMD, or Intel from their respective download pages. Do not start DDU yet. Start Windows into Safe mode. To boot into safe mode, click on the start menu, click the power icon, hold shift and keep holding it, and then click restart. You should arrive at a blue screen with multiple options. Click on "Troubleshoot," "Advanced Options," "Startup Settings," and click on "Restart." Once you have rebooted into safe mode, run DDU and click on clean and restart. Install driver once windows boots normally. amd cleanup utility is quicker

lusty bone
#

But it doesn't remove everything

#

Thats the point

turbid locust
#

i dont want to remove chipset drivers ffs

#

im just removing display drivers

lusty bone
#

It doesn't remove chipset drivers

#

Not that you need them anyway since windows installs the chipset drivers natively now

turbid locust
#

then it does the same thing amd's tool does

lusty bone
#

Ddu doesn't

turbid locust
#

it doesnt

#

thats why its a display driver cleanup utility

turbid locust

#

it clearly says its for display drivers

🤷‍♂️ AMD's tool removes chipset drivers from my experience, where DDU has not
