I'm not so fit when it comes to laptops and mobile chips and devices. My GF and I want to buy a laptop for some office work and some multimedia because I'm the hospital a lot lately. She also wants to play some Heroes of the storm.
But we are also a bit on a budged.
Is there anything capable under 500 bucks?

it's reasonably spec'd for the price and has a decent battery life despite being a zen 2 5000 series ryzen
5500u = zen2, if it had a 5600u then it would be a zen 3 laptop

But from what I learnd in the past 5 hours is that the 5600u has the same Vega 7 graphics than the 5500u, right? So it doesn't make big difference when it comes to games?

no different for usage where the igpu is concerned
but zen 3 has a better battery life over zen 2

Yeah, zen 3 has a lot of benefits over zen 2, especially battery life and performance.

they look similar enough in synthetic bench marks
they're both 6core 12thread I don't think you would find much difference between the two in terms of light gaming etc.

Hmm.. I found a laptop from HP with the older 5500U with 256gb SSD and 8gb ram. It maybe not as efficient but there's a sale for 380€. Sound like a good deal, right?
