Lets say i got it in 2021 when 13th gen wasnt a thing what do i need to buy in order for it to work
what bracket and standoffs
You can contact Corsair to obtain a LGA 1700 compatibility mounting kit.
Also, go ahead and get you the Thermalright contact frame to replace the stock Intel ILM

Another recommendation for Corsair AIOs is to get some foam fan gaskets from Phobya which will improve airpressure in the radiator and reduce turbulence noise. I have some installed on my H155i Platinum.

i am very new to building so is the mounting kit all i need?
im so confused it is unreal
Yeah. Those standoffs go into the backplate that was came with your Capellix cooler. The backplate is adjustable.
The Intel 1700 socket has a known issue of the CPUs deforming from an admitted design flaw in the mounting solution. The Thermalright frame addresses that issue.
what does that mean?
Intel made a rectangle that gets mounted into a bed of springs, and then made the loading mechanism put ALL of its pressure on the middle of the long sides
is that a big issue because im from aus
and it will cost 100$ ahaha
the thermal thing
Amazon AU should have one.
Anyway, here's a video. First 10 minutes will tell you everything you need to know.

Intel's CPU socket for the Alder Lake (12th Gen) CPUs applies higher pressure on one side, causing reduced pressure between the cooler coldplate and CPU. We're replacing the stock Intel ILM (on the socket) with a Thermal Grizzly Contact Frame. Testing includes analysis ...
ok sorry just to clarify i only need the standoffs
im very new to pc building and this is my first time
so sorry im just worried im gunna mess up
and is the thermal contact frame really necessary?
