Possible that the wifi module came loose in shipping. Are you comfortable opening it and re-seating the module?
Sure I'll give it a try.
Any idea how it looks?
or what kind of shape it has lol
I know these are usually model specific, but I was hoping you could give me a slight description of the object.
It's going to be a M.2 module keyed in A, E, or A+E. It will have two antenna cables connected to it.
Providing you didn't get one of the stupid designs that has the wifi fully-integrated into the computer mainboard itself.
What computer model do you have?
I'll get back to you in a sec.
Asus Vivobook 16X(M1603Q or QA, apperantly they are the same thing ;-;)
Clarification: Not a personal computer, a laptop😭 sorry if I made a mistake and you or I have misunderstood something
But if it is loose, would it still be detected from Device Manager?
It can be loose and still be detected. It does hapen.
Alright, I'll have a look then!
Did you make sure you downloaded the right driver? They usually have multiple for the same laptop (etc. Intel & MediaTek).
Oh. Realtek.
