black screen on monitor when pc is on

I built another pc and just upgraded the motherboard, tower, cpu and some more fans. Everything is turned on and lit up and works fine except that when I turn the pc on, nothing is showed on my monitor. The VGA debug led is lit up solid white

Is your hdmi/dp cable plugged into the gpu?

Yes, I tried with both dp and hdmi. The gpu was working earlier today and I have been using it for about a year

Do a cmos reset

And just use hdmi for the moment after you do just to test

My gpu is sitting right on top of the battery. Can I remove it and reset it without the gpu in there or does the gpu have to be connected when I reset it?

Yes, I used them in my old pc and they did not cause any problems. Think I should try it without them attached?

Okay so i got the debug led to stay off on the motherboard and I got some things to display on the monitor for only a minute but then it went back to no signal
