Write a comment on this post explaining the following:
The specs of your machine (including which ram you have originally and what you’re trying to upgrade to)
What peripherals you have connected (even ones that don’t seem to have relevance)
Which of those are causing issues.
Exactly what happens with your old ram
Exactly what happens with your new ram
I've had 2 sticks of ram which are 16 GB (8 each). They are probably some goodram sticks. Today, I bought 2 new sticks (The RGB ones). Once I insert them and boot my pc, it doesnt detect my hardware - Keyboard doesnt glow, monitor doesnt detect any input. Basically everything that is connect to the pc doesnt work.
Both Goodram and corsair sticks are inserted ATM
Now I have plugged only the rgb ones and unplugged the goodram ones and it works
It doesnt work when they are mixed, no clue why
Sounds like an unsupported frequency, look for the spec sheet of your motherboard and find the maximum supported frequency (or speed) and check if your ram has a higher value
Its supported
It supports up to 4400 mhz
I only can have plugged 2 rams of one compant at the time
When I plug 2 corsair rams only, works fine. Also when I put only goodram rams works.
But when I put them all together it doesnt detect hardware
Don't mix ram
a lot of the times if u do it won't work
You really should not mix ram
Generally if you have 2 pairs of sticks they tend to work as long as you channel it properly, even if it’s not the best idea
Until you decide to xmp and then stability becomes a thing
Weeeeelllll who needs overclocking?
I use xmp
