okay boys i am in need of great help, i bought an rtx 3060 for as an upgrade for my 980 ti, but i have run into a major problem.
my specs are:

I7-7400 (about 4 years old)
Z270M-Plus (about 4 years old)
16 gb of Corsair vengeance ddr4 (about 4 years old)
750w power supply (brand new)
3060 Msi Ventus 3x
windows 10 pro

The problem is, that i tried to install the gpu, and when I did i ofc. did a Driver uninstall with DDU, and then tried to install the drives but, whenever i download the drivers and try to install them, about 30% through it bluescreens and I get the error code nvlddmkm.sys. I thought it was the gpu that arrived bad, but I got a new one, not even the same brand, and it still has the exact same issue, I can download the drivers fine for my old Gpu the 980 ti and I even tried a 1060 6gb, i have no clue what is wrong, I have tried to update the bios on my motherboard, it did not help, I tried to download the drives through device manager and the same thing bsod

Did you DDU your old drivers before or after installing the 3060?

did you tried reseating the card ?
i had issues with an 3080 up to the point i identified with GPU-Z that she was in x4 or x8 mode depending on the days.
unplugging the card, cleaning the PCI-Ex slot and reseting the bios showed a huge improvement
