bruh
Define underperforming, what laptop? What tasks are you doing? Are you using it all day?
π bruh
First, reset it with windows installation media as this can remove manufacturer bloatware
Then make absolutely sure the graphics card drivers are installed from the manufacturers site
Then yeet it out the window
Well to define under performance first π€·ββοΈ
All be good but if itβs working as intended and not as he is thinking π
First need to be sure thatβs not the case to make sure he is not disappointed
Well he already isπ€·ββοΈ
What specs are we talking about?
What are you getting and what is your expectation π§
Since mobiles gpu not as strong as it is as a seperate full non mobile gpu
@cyan kayak
@cyan kayak pixel i recommend doing a new install just take a USB drive 18GB or over then go download a win creation tool or iso and create a bootable drive then boot into bios and select your USB the process is simple
I would recommend installing a custom debloated windows iso (If u know how to install all the drivers) Also u could try unparking your cores, undervolting, overclocking gpu, debloating your current windows version as well as turning off windows update and caching for the best performance possible (each topic is covered by various verified youtube content creators, so you don't have to worry about bricking your device if u follow it thoroughly π )
1st thing: how old is that install? If older than 2 years, try installing a fresh OS. I personally would suggest a Linux distro for best performance
2nd thing: Is there a lot of dust in the Laptop?
You can reinstall all you want that laptop isnβt gonna magically feel better π
obviously, but it could get a lot better
a 7500U is okay.. ish.
For basic tasks itβs fine
Well itβs a laptop cpu so already not great and depending on the laptop cooling capacity could be even worse π
Opening the laptop and replacing all thermal compound and cleaning fans and stuff could be quite helpful
i had a very similar laptop before i fried it, have you tried cleaning the laptop
with those specs it should be very snappy for daily tasks
it could be overheating so it could be hardware issue rather than software issue, disassembling the laptop and cleaning the cooling assembly then reapplying thermal paste should do the job
disassembly of your laptop looks pretty straightforward too, its an easy job
yeah there is
i did fresh os install few months ago
Then clean it lol
install ram
best way
you go to a website and follow the steps on how to download ram
it is working for me
clean laptop, fresh os wont work for you
its probably overheating
Yeah sure bruh I aint stupid
i see
lol
