Yo Im building my first ever PC and I keeping seeing things about Static Electricity ruining PC parts, so I bought a antistatic wrist strap from iFixit and heard that I need to ground myself by plugging in the PSU, turning it off, and attatching the clip of the anti-static wrist strap to the bare metal of the PSU. Unfortunately the PSU i purchased (NZXT C750 80+) seems to be covered in a sort of matted black paint, and the screws are to low to be able to attach the clip of the strap to it without unscrewing the screws a little. If I attatch the clip to the painted part of the PSU, will it even help at all? Let me know if you have a solution! Any and all answers are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The amount of esd needed to ruin your parts you would not be able to generate. Just don't touch the rear io ports on your motherboard if you have some static build up. You can plug in the psu do not turn it on and use that to discharge yourself.
No need to use the wrist strap
This is not the 80s when parts were super sensitive or even early 90s
I'm I little to forgetful to remeber to touch the PSU every few minutes, so would unscrewing one of the screws a bit to be able to attatch the clip work?
You could just not use the strap
