#Resetting pc without uninstalling specific apps

Just uninstall the programs you don't want?
Most of them don't show up in the control panel since they are windows customization apps Can I just reset the C drive and keep D untouched?
And they don't show up anywhere else, like the Microsoft Store?
nope, iv downloaded them from 3rd party websites (Windows theme patcher etc)
Hi there is definitely a way you can do this
You only want to reset the c drive not the d drive correct
if you dont want the d drive reset you can just unplug it when your restarting your windows i think
atleast thats what i was told when i was thinking of doing the same thing
Sorry for the late response and yes, also both the drives are in the same SSD they are just partitions
Do you have an external drive at all
nop
Okay then save everything that you want backed up to an app called Terabox which gives you a free terabyte of storage
Reset the computer
Once you get into your reset computer sign in to Terabox and get everything back
Wouldn't I have to download everything back?
I just don't want to spend hours downloading gta V and valorant after the reset
Are all your games on steam
Well you could just reinstall windows and reinstall steam on the same location and it will detect the steamapps folder and detects you got game’s installed
For valorant no idea might have to reinstall that one but all the steam games you don’t have to re-download
Will resetting windows just uninstall Steam while keeping the game files? I'm ok with reinstalling valo
Steam has the power of finding libraries
so you just reinstall steam and it finds the library 🤷♂️
nvm I'mma just factory reset
really its dead simple
Tell steam this is the location of your Library and it will reindex and just keep the 200 GB of games
I have fewer brain cells than I can count
thats fine
I can't understand that
need a step by step ? 🤔 how to do it?
Dw, I'm tired of my file structure too I just need a fresh start to everything I just feel I might delete something thats important
so make a backup first of your important files
on dropbox for example or google drive
make a paper list of applications you like, and just go by the list installing?
I do have google drive backups for my work files, just trying to remember if I forgot something in the other folders
so just skim through the folders 🤷♂️ go through all my document folders
and delete what you already got backed up.
and if you think you have big chunks of files somewhere check with treesize pro (some simple software) which checks where big file sizes are. maybe some hidden movies for example
