Ooof 60-70fps is low for you. Man people have it good
Yep low for a $900 card
Hold on I use £'s..
£760.. God you could get a whole system for that
I suppose you have a 60hz+ monitor then?
Bro, thats normal
What resolution
Yeah?
that isn';t
@quasi dragon
I use 1440p with rtx I get 100+
:/
3080 ti
Gigabyte
ah
ur using hdmi?
Yep
what's ur monitor
Gigabyte
like
iss it
If ur using hdmi
U ain't gonna get 100+
best thing to do
run the monitor through dp
idk ur getting low fps on a 3080 ti
Spiderman or miles morales? I can benchmark it on my kids PC if you want
Hdmi 2.1 should be fine for 100 plus on 1440p
Spider-Man
ok give me a few mins ill boot it up on my kids pc right now, it has similarish specs to yours
here is very high preset / rtx on / 4k with dlss (65-75fps avg)
same presets, 1440p 80-100 fps
okay but here is the thing, how is a DP gonna fix the FPS issues? isnt it another problem?
yea thats a pretty dumb take. clearly dosnt understand what hes talking about. dp 1.4 and hdmi 2.1 can do 4k@144, let alone 1440p@144
In this case I'd be interested if there is any other process hogging resources.
miles is live!
yea i dunno the voice seems off. going to find out if its the same actor
You guys don’t think it’s the hardware?
I have it preordered, I’ll download it tonight 🙂
Such as?
dunno i loaded it up my kids pc and was able to get 15ish fps more with rtx on at 1440p then you with no rtx on (unless it was on by accident for you), so thats kinda a red flag something is bogging you down, the 3080ti vs 3090 is pretty close to compare
so i would start with background tasks like dalgam suggested, look at power limits. make sure nothing is bottlenecked
up on my kids pc
You a mom/dad or something?
I mean literally anything taking up resources. Is there anything within taskmanager that is taking using a lot of CPU, RAM, etc. ?
what gave it away?
The quote 🤣 nice that you are so tech aware
not necessarily, my thinking is that there might be a heavy program running that is using your CPU at the same time which would cause performance losses.
