#GPU seems to be broken (I don't get a signal) but I want to verify

Hi folks,
I'm new here and hope I'm doing this right. I'm currently building a PC with

  • ASUS ROG Crosshair X670E Hero
  • AMD Ryzen 9 7950X
  • Kingston Fury Beast 4x16GB 6000MT/s DDR5 RAM
  • Msi Lightning Geforce RTX 2080ti
  • Corsair HX 1000i
    But I cannot get a signal from the GPU but from the onboard GPU I can. I'm not quite sure what would be a good way to trouble shoot this. I reinstalled it, I tried it with a Riser cable (just because I found it easier to install it). Currently there is no windows installed, so I just wanted to boot into BIOS with the GPU. It's connected via HDMI to one of my monitors.
    I also am curious why the booting process takes so long and what could cause it. When I start the PC it starts all fans (sounds like 100%) and stays like that for quite some time before I even see the logo and can enter the BIOS.
    There is nothing I really changed in BIOS but enabling DOCP.

Edit: Obviously it would be easiest to swap the GPU to another PC but I need that for work and would not like to open the other up and mess around with it. The same with the GPU inside the work PC.

Have you made sure that everything is plugged in correctly and fully?

I reinstalled the GPU several times by now and everything else seems to be fine so far. RAM and CPU are showing up properly in the BIOS.

Did you make sure to plug the 6+2 PCIE cable into the GPU?

There might be a little switch somewhere on the GPU that disables the graphics output for crypto mining pourposes

I could not find anything like that on the card or in the manual.

Ok, I don't think the BIOS update itself did anything but I turned off the resize bar which I actually heard about in one of the LTT's videos iirc and now I got a signal.

a 2080ti am I one of the only people that use a gtx1650?
