Windows boot manager on your old drive?
You have windows installed on ssd?
Thing is, you have to change the boot order, if it doesn’t show up in your bios that’s a problem to fix
i have done the same thing on my pc where disconnecting the hard drive is relatively easier
can't i just wipe my hdd?
Wiping the drive won’t change the boot order for sure however it will defenetly boot faster cause it mooves on quickly if it doesn’t find an OS. Second thing you could do to fix boot order is disconnect hdd, do a startup, then bios will maybe change the boot order automatically
Go into your ssd windows installation and format the hdd
ahhhhhhh
You will loose all data on your hdd
You prob know but in case you don’t know
LOL
Make sure to unplug any other drive besides your ssd and hdd when you format
So you don’t format the wrong drive
cant i install windows boot manager on my ssd?
no
it just shows whether to boot to windows 10 or windows 11
something like this
i dont need it
i was just concerned that if i wipe my hdd my system wont boot
Yeah you’ll get rid of it if you wipe your hdd anyways
ok thanks 🙂
You don’t need it
Ok 👌
Wait
You still there?
It’s possible you installed windows twice on your hdd
It’s dual boot
.

From what I understand it is possible you installed windows on your HDD beside your old windows installation. If this is true, this would explain that you can’t see your ssd as an option for your boot Order because it doesn’t contain an operating system to boot from because you didn’t install your new installation on your ssd but on your hdd beside you old installation.
He can go into windows
Make a windows installation usb
Boot onto that
Install windows
hey guys
i formatted my hdd
so when i tried to boot it went straight into diagnoing you windows
and then i tried removing my hdd but when I did it said that no bootable drive available
i really dont think so as the new windows is much more responsive and my old hard drive was much slower
This would also explain:
