I figured A was a long shot, but a shot I may as well take

As for B, I can probably get my hands on the tools (My dad's been into PCs longer than I've been alive, so that helps), and I have a second and third motherboard that I could probably sacrifice for replacement parts. My main issue is just the potential to damage anything else on the board (since I can't afford to replace the motherboard entirely).
