My Build:

CPU: Intel 13900K
MOBO: ASUS Z790 Strix-F
RAM: G.Skill 6400 CL32
GPU: MSI Gaming X Trio 6950XT
PSU: EVGA 1600w Titanium
NVME: Inland 2TB 3.0x4
CPU Cooler: Thermaltake TH360 AIO
Case: Corsair 780T

Computer cannot boot into Windows. I get to where it says “Preparing Automatic Repair” under the ROG logo and it never moves past it. It gets stuck there. Set XMP, Did not resolve. Cleared CMOS, Did not resolve. Tried turning CSM off and rebooted, Did not resolve. Turned CSM back on and rebooted, Did not resolve. Tried Memtest86 to test RAM at XMP and RAM passed. Computer powers on so not PSU, NVME was used with previous build so should work and is detected in BIOS, but can’t boot to it. So thought maybe NVME is bad or Windows is corrupted. Used another known working computer to prepare a Windows Media Creation tool to make a Windows 11 USB to try and fix boot drive but computer won’t boot to USB Flash Drive either. Gets stuck on purple screen. So, I can’t boot to Windows and I can’t boot to the USB Flash drive without it getting stuck. No other ideas here but super frustrated. Also can’t boot into Safe mode. Any other ideas are welcome. Thanks in Advance.

The error you are receiving seems to be indicating the system is having difficulty POSTing. I doubt this is a Windows / drive issue. Are you even able to get into BIOS at this point?

Thank you for your reply @frail kayak. I am able to get into BIOS, but that is about it. I can’t boot into Windows. I turned on “Intel Rapid Storage Technology” which at least allows me to boot to a USB Flash Drive but it doesn’t see any drives to repair or anything helpful in Command Prompt. If I have “Intel Rapid Storage Technology” off, Not only can I not boot into Windows, I can’t even boot to a Flash Drive. So at this point, I am stuck.

How did you make the flash drive? With media creation tool?

Yes @sullen vigil With Windows Media Creation Tool on my wife’s working computer.

I have excellent news…. It’s not corrupted data on my hard drive. I know that for a fact because I just erased my entire hard drive in an effort to fix this issue. And guess what? It’d didn’t fix anything and as an added bonus, I lost all of my data too…. Forgive me for not jumping for joy… I do sincerely appreciate everyone who has tried to offer me a worthwhile solution to this frustrating issue. I truly thank everyone for your honest efforts.

It's a new motherboard, memory and cpu right? Get them RMA'd, something is not working right and the seller won't have any issue replacing them. The error msg about POST into safe mode is enough clue that there's something seriously wrong. Literally power-on-self-test fails to execute normally.

#

And you already tried clearing cmos, that's pretty much all you can do at home.

Even memtest passed, so I'm thinking either faulty motherboard that got damaged in transport, or a faulty cpu (unlikely though)
