I've got a 3930k system that'll boot into windows 7 on a hard drive, but doesn't recognize my nvme in the bios, and doesn't recognize windows is installed on my sata ssd. It just says "reboot and select proper media device" when the sata ssd is selected as boot device

Have u removed the hdd when trying the ssd

And are u able to confirm that the ssd works on another computer

in bios, set storage, network, video and i forget the other setting to UEFI only save / reboot , load back into bios and then set csm to disabled save and reboot

no it was a asus x79 premium
