#Rattling Noise on GPU Startup
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Since i am unable to catch the sound in my microphone due to noisy environment, i found video of another GPU with exactly the same issue
This is another of the many videos out there showing the terrible fans that Gigabyte uses on their GPUs that make rattling noises. There are many thoughts on the internet about the source of the problem. My fans specifically have no clearance issues. The problem is in the fan motors and just that.
Can someone help
Happens to me
Sometimes with my laptop cooler
RMA it I think
😮💨
I tried it. The noise is so small
It's not audible in store
Only when AC and Fans are off
So... why would you care about it
Is it performing fine
Yes. I just bought it. I'm just scared that it's Bearing issue and fan will fail after a few week s
Lol
That's why I'm frantically trying to find out if it's normal
Okay imo
Run a thing on it 24 hours intensive idk benchmark or somt
Fan will spin to its max
Leave it like that and see what happens
I can deal with it. It is not the noise i care about. I'm just afraid... Is the fan jamming up ALREADY in 2 weeks
If anything happens RMA it if nothing happens then its probably just you freaking out
I hope to God that's it
my 2080s is doing that since i got it 2 years ago
couldnt care less
Lol
SEE? THANK YOU
Now i KNOW it's normal instead of some Weird thing happening to me alone
its not
Its not normal lol
Mine just happens on start and then doesn't happen unless i let it go idle and fan starts again.
I think its just the fan starting up and its fine
But do what I said
Run something stress the gpu to 100% for a while
How do I stress test it ?
Thank you man. I was freaking out
I bought it with my first ever salary (entirety of it)
NOT as in its not something that's just happening to me or NOT as in not normal 🤴
its not normal
I mean yours still works?
yea what do you think is supposed to happen?
Fan stopping working?
my GPU has 3 fans and a 2.5 slot heatsink
i can run it with 2 fans if one fails no problem
could happen after a while yea
Shit. Well no way to find out🙂
BUT are all your fans still working
why would it affect the other fans?
No I'm asking cos
If it's just one of your fans , but still all 3 are working
Then it's probably just design flaw (I'm hoping)
What GPU do you have (as in MSI or Asus)
It still makes the sounds and still all fans are working?
no in the last 30 sec all 3 exploded
Man why y'all so mean in this server
because i already answered it 3 times
- not a design flaw
- stop paniking its just a fucking fan and if the fan actually fails just RMA it since you got like a 3 year warranty on most GPUS
Imagine you get your first ever job, get first ever salary, and for past 15 years it was your dream to get a PC, and it starts making noise
You're telling me u won't panic?
PS: Yes I'm panicking
Okay then. Here's hoping
then youre gonna have a horrible time with a pc
Dude i swear i don't panic much. Cos i actually took this GPU to the dealer today
But the noise is barely audible in store so i couldn't prove otherwise
It's only audible with Fan and AC turned off
so why even bother
You're right
I'm just new so i don't know WHEN something IS a big deal and WHEN it isn't
I want to give it my best
Updates?
Just went to the store
AS Well As the damn Gigabyte Service Centre
"The issue you're describing is not an issue at all, hence we can not help you"
Also the noise now happens even while the fan is running
I'm never getting ShitABYTE again
"The issue you have is not an issue"
Gigabyte Service Centre 2022
Rattling like a bearing got loose?
Please see this vid
