@woven blade right click on tab and tick GPU

woven blade
#

thanks

#

desktop window manager is using it

#

would you know the fix for that

#

I am looking into articles as well rn

long tendon
#

this is commonly because one of your program is consuming high GPU in form of window

#

not enough info for me to tell what causes it

woven blade
#

these are the only 2 that use the gpu right now and one of them is the desktop window manager

long tendon
#

likely related

#

are you using any Nvidia filters or active renderer

#

it can range from game filter to RTX Voice

long tendon
#

whatever it is ending that program should not cause issue

#

if the issue repeats you might want to reinstall geforce experience

#

this is probably caused by unusual settings

but are you actively clipping? if not then that is unusual.

woven blade
#

it always records my screen even if I dont play any games

#

but the desktop window manager is more of a problem

#

it doesnt make any sense for it to be using this much gpu

#

found out the issue

long tendon
#

hmm you might want to turn down active clipping then

#

Windows also have its own preclipping

woven blade
#

I turned off hardware accelerated gpu scheduling

long tendon
#

that... improves your performance

woven blade
#

yea it should but now my gpu usage is at 0%

long tendon
#

you can stop using Nvidia and use one integrated in Windows already

#

the always recording thing

woven blade
#

found out that it seemingly has something to do with the new nvidia driver

#

thats what some folks say on reddit ima install the older driver rq
