Let me get this straight. Your fans are spinning, but your lights aren't turning on and your GPU has no output, correct?
yup
@stiff spear
Sorry
I was checking the manual for it
i reconnected it to another gpu slot
used the hdmi
didnt work
did you happen to replace your PSU?
nope
same stuff
its only the case i changed
because the last one was way too big
all connections secure?
Yup
oh, make sure your connecting to the GPU itself
Everything works but the gpu’s light and output
because the logo of it used to light up
Now it doesn’t after putting it in the new case
so is it only the GPU? if you have integrated graphics can you atleast get a signal through them?
What cpu do you have?
i7-3820
it works
i got windows on it, etc with the hdd
i had help from here
when it was on the old case
Sadly, your cpu does't have a integrated graphics card
yup
do you have any old GPU?
ok, uh try reseating your memory
Did you plug the 6+2 wire coming from the psu back into the gpu after you installed it?
It means that you can remove the wires from it
Nooe
It has a bunch of connectors integrated into the casing
Was this a prebuilt before you swapped cases?
Check both of the motherboard wires
send a picture whith your entire mobo in view please
do you want it turned on?
Just so I can see it
Oof
Its only those
This is my first tower
soo
i swear it worked on the old case, like everything was fully functional
it was doing fine
The main problem is you could of shorted something
And the way to test it is to make sure it's not anything else
so i’ll try to take out some cables connecting to the psu?
No, as far as we know it's something up with the GPU but we don't really have a way to test it
yeah i apologize:(
Oh shit, I dident notice that
oh
Yea that would do it
Ive been around the block a few times
Dosent hurt to try
That wire is the cpu power wire
That pic was taken after everything was unplugged
Try plugging it in and see what happens
should be a 8 pin
not a 6+2?
nope
got it, let me try to find it
6+2 is gpu only
Ayyy
Your welcome
And don't think your dumb I do it all the time lol was the first mistake I ever made with my first build
Ohh no
@ornate bramble I saw your post, it should be fine
Yea noticed that, thanks
Reseat the sata power and data cables
Make sure there connected
Make sure your drives are plugged in correctly, and that the sata data cables are plugged into your motherboard
it really is
ive been working on this since 3 pm and i didn’t expect building a pc can really be stressfull
stressful
If you want to, you could find a bunch of old parts and through them in a case so you can practice on that without frying anything
Thats what I use my old PC for
