Once an SSD dies, that’s usually game over.
The one advantage spinning media had was it gave you some warning and time to at least get some of your data.
As for why,
Electronics aren’t perfect. They break sometimes. That’s why we have warranties :)
So no possibility of data recovery?
Not without bucket loads of money for specialised recovery.
How do you know it’s dead ?
FYI
3 Golden Rules of Computing

What do you declare as dead?
Doesn't pop up anymore?
Doesn't respond to anything?
Doesn't show up in bios or anything, tested on multiple computers
Is it by any chance a Samsung?
Kingston
Ah. Alright..
I asked since there was a power only cycle method for sata ssd from Samsung
It's under warranty still so not all bad but the data is what i care about more unfortunately
But yeah, the its pretty much game over. As of how.. age, heat, writes, bad voltages, thats what comes to mind
Yep.. you could give linux a try, but i highly doubt its gonna be able to do anything, otherwise, its time to desolder the chips and read them
If it doesn't show in bios would it show in Linux?
Probably also need to disable any kind of security mechanisms for closest hardware control.. and honestly? Doubt its gonna do stuff
