i just got a 3080ti and i was excited to run some benchmarks on it, it performed under bottom 1% according to uswrbenchmark. the fans were extremely loud and the performance sub par. any sort of help is greatly appreciated. i’ll post a pic of the card in case that helps
#3080ti not working

Download gpuz and send screenshot
Also do avoid keeping ur gpu on blankets, that to on its pcie lane
Also userbench is not reliable
full specs i have a i9-12900k which had been running super well
im not home rn but i will send results for benchmark later
is there any online service where i would be able to talk to someone who could help me troubleshoot?
Just keep posting stuff most people will just answer if they have a potential solution
okay thank you
im running it off of a power brick could that be a possible issue?
this is my first pc and i was sure everything had been done right but it’s just not working.
also if it’s useful the userbenchmark score was around 130 which is very low for 3080ti
Userbench isn't reliable I would use 3dmark or furmark to really test the gpu
im gonna try everything that’s been recommended when i get home and then i’ll post an update
is it possible it could perform so much worse even though the software isn’t great for testing? because it may not be good software but the gpu is performing at half the average
Are you using two separate pcie cables for the 3080ti?
do you have a warranty from the store/seller? and have you tried to claim the warranty?
that’s my next step if i can’t figure it out
yes i have a warranty
if things don’t work i can just return for a new one
try to go to nearest service center bro,if they said they can fix it,then go for it,, or.. just claim the warranty and have a brand new 3080ti
service center?
would that have to be from the company i bought it from or like a best buy
A company side would be recommended
this one
i don’t know if they have physical service centers
i’ll probably just troubleshoot today and if i can’t figure it out i’ll return it
U can't really trust a third party as they might void ur warranty if its not possible to fix
try to search it on gmaps i think?
i looked there’s nothing
if there's no company SC,then claim the warranty
Yup
it's isn't recommended to fix it on third party SC
i’ll call the support number when i get home and see what they recommend
maybe they’ll have a solution and then if not i guess i’ll just return it and wait
alright
ty for all the help
Jst don't yoink the gpu here and there if u don't find a fix.
U do not wanna cause any damage further voiding the warranty.
yeah
@spiral condor first try using actual benchmarking tools like 3dmark and try running games
Then if it's the same
Try the usual ddu wipe and reinstall the drivers
YO
if that does not work
rma it
Are you using cable extensions?
To power it via pcie?
Or are the cables straight from the PSU?
It's most likely a benchmark issue or driver issue
cables are straight from psu
trying a new benchmark now
score was 2026 on high settings 1920x1080
fans were super loud the whole time
gpu was at 65°
Bro i heard jet engine sound right there
