Mbps and MBps are different

Bytes vs bits

I’m talking about the one for Wi-Fi

Xbox measures in bytes iirc

#

1 MB = 8mb

Is it a problem with my Wi-Fi?

Probably to far away

boreal tendon

It’s not that far away

It’s on the same floor

Are you on 2.4ghz? Or 5?

go on 2.4

2.4 can help as it penetrates walls better & reaches longer distances, similar to how low-end bass will reach farther than crisp treble sounds

Xbox test is shit

#

I'm in australia with fibre and wired but it still shows 200ms ping, it uses US servers (or some other far away region).
The download and upload speeds also arent consistent, wouldn't worry about it at all.

#

Run a speedtest.net in Microsoft Edge and I guarantee it'll be better.

Also wouldn't hurt to improve your signal strength.
As others have said, an ethernet cable will help, look into MoCa or Ethernet over Power if you can't run a cable.

For size and throughout

#

That’s why I thought it was bytes

#

Atleast it used to the last time I touched an Xbox

My solution was to put a EoP (Ethernet over Power) 1gigabit into the same room as the consoles, this is connected via ethernet to my router and then from the other end to the console.

Alternatively figure out if Wifi Router Supports mesh networking and grab a compatible fast device.

#

May also help if you own the home, to run yourself a nice little ethernet cable from said modem/router too a meshable Wifi Router in the location of the consoles/ other entertainment devices.

This will give you a fixed ethernet link between the two devices and full Wifi strength as well as still acting as a meshed wifi device best of all worlds in that scenario.
