So I decided to build my father a computer for Christmas. Took me about 2 months to get all the parts and I finally got it put together. When I went to post test only the CPU cooler turned on along with an orange light on the bottom left edge of the motherboard. My theory is a faulty motherboard but has anyone else seen this?

By the looks of things, either faulty CPU or motherboard
But you could try to do basic tests on them to see.

Alright. It is probably the motherboard because i recycled the CPU.

Anything is possible but the person who helped me build my new computer said that it didnt reach the CPU
Ill just buy a new mobo and see if that works
