An old MBA isn't the worst old computer to be stuck with. They're still relatively pleasant to use, just because the specs were quite decent for an ultra book when it was new, and also because macOS doesn't seem to get bogged down over time quite the same way that old Windows installations can.

Yeah, but it’s stuck with Monterey and it’s pretty slow. Also it’s the 128go model so it’s pretty tight at a storage level.

That's a bit of an understatement. My Windows Vista computer locked up on me the other day.
