Have you ever used an enthusiast baord? They're both pretty bad, I'd never recommend the g915 pretty bad build quility, crappy switches with easily breakable and kinda hard to replace caps and the Apex pro is compreble if you don't have any other options
Ali express
I have very nice points of reference
I also have very shit points of reference
For the 95% of the population I can solidly recommend both. I just prefer the g915
Keychrons low profiles are way better
Nuphy has a very nice low profile
I'd recommend amongst a keychrons, akko, durgod, ect any day over either
Only things it's got going for it is Logitechs wireless thingo
I love my logitech mice, so I do have a bias
I'm working on a DIY project and all i need is a hot swappable pcb so I want to find the cheapest one i can as it's just a DIY project.
Smarter Shopping, Better Living! Aliexpress.com
logitech is a mess for mice og g502 good g502 hero crap mxmaster 3 good and their cheap stuff is okay keyboards even more a mess
Logitech G502 lightspeed mouse is good. The best mouse I have ever used. The design is near perfect, great sensor, great connection, great adjustable weight. and the battery is also good and only needs a couple of hours to fully charge.
One of the best things about this mouse I enjoy is the shape. It's a very comfortable fit.
I like Swiss design though
They are much better than overrated German and Scandinavian ones
I like there mice but they have some improvement to do on their boards before I'll buy another one
the hero sensor isn't good at all overrated
it's not bad but there are cheaper and better sensors
For my use case if the mouse has adjustable debaounce it's good enough
hero sensor is bad as all the stuff went in 16k dpi for it the og 502 proteus core sensor is better
I love the G502 lightspeed. The problem I have is that I don't like the shape of most mice, I like a comfortable fit and the g502 is near perfect. Personally I don't have an issue with the sensor I think it's perfectly fine. However even if the sensor wasn't as good (which I don't agree with) I would still chose it for all of the other reasons I have said previously.
I guess it's just preference though.
i'm just disapointed in what logitech did used the og for years then the hero for a year before going to an mx master 3 sensor is closer to the og g502 tho ofc worse but shape is upgraded in comfort
Their mouse and keyboard are miles apart tho
Maybe, but again I have very nasty keebs and very expensive keeps and I always have my g915 ready for backup
I will never use a keyboard made by a mainstream company such as, Razer, Logitech, HyperX, Corsair etc. I think you can get an enthusiast one that is a lot better and for lot cheaper.
Just a question of preference
Why are you saying that to me tho ... I'm not the one chilling on logitech stuff
Yea~
"Their mouse and keyboard are miles apart tho" I was adding onto the conversation saying that mice from these companies are great but for a keyboard you're better off going somewhere else.
hyperx and corsair is fine for people who don't reseach or buy it locally and kids who can't order. but there is a lot better stuff
Never said their mouse are good tho
And never said in which way their keyboard are miles appart
Mouse are normal and keyboard are shit
Bruh are you purposely trying to be argumentative. There was a conversation about keyboards and mice and people discussing their point of views. I was just throwing in my view. Relax
Y'all need to chill
Cherry blues are the best switch
Magic mouse is the best mouse
Costar stabs are the best stabs
Oh wow a lot of people wouldn't agree with that đ I personally have never used them. However I have heard them....
I got browns that sound like clickies
logitech keyboard mouse combo's are okay but there is better then dell stuff the is better options like microsoft
I also have browns, They're clicky but I don't think they are as bad as blues.
Browns are not clicky tho ... they don't have click jacket like blue
I know, but did you hear that enter key
Honorary clicky
No don't watch video
got some cheap blue switches in a board they so bad. vs khail box white click is so bad feeling
That is probably coming from the stabs
Costar stabs
Those sound fine to me?
Most people donât pay attention in regards to the fact these new sensors are more so personal achievements for the engineers who designed them, and even though only marginally more precise itâs an acknowledgment to the hard work and effort put into making a new scientific breakthrough
After my 3 keyboard trip to Kailh REDs, Kailh BLUEs and razer switches I went back to membrane. The durability from having a closed system is just too good to pass on. Also I can't get any Kailh replacements ( pack of 5 for âŹ20.. HAHA me ) in my country so if I ever come back I would 100% go for Cherry as those are widely avaiable.
Mmmm, gateron milky yellows would sound like a good fit
Cheap, readily available
compatible with kailh holes?
At the end of the day they will go in the same slot as the kailh switch
You might need to clip the 2 extra feet but they should fit no problem
90 switches for about 21 USD plus tax and shipping depending on wheee you live
I don't really care about having the same feel. I just don't feel like throwing 90% good keyboard away lol. Now I need to find someone who ships them here. My goto store has gotten rid of all the switches , apparently including gateron yellows.
yeee idk anymore
50$ for pack of 120 is about as low as I can get.
way better than what option I had previously tho
Cherry switches hella overrated imo, i agree on what carlos said on gaterons, though if theyre available in ur region akko makes good budget switches as well milky yellows or gateron ink blacks are good
They are. But it is kind of like having an iPhone. whereever you go there is someone who has the parts.
im kinda confused, what do you mean by the parts? pretty much everything except special more niche mech boards are compatible with one another, i think u might be confused because things are often called âcherry profileâ or MX, which are based on cherryâs sizing standard but work with virtually all switches. correct me if im wrong tho
By niche mech boards you mean some custom made stuff?
I have thought I had to use Kailh switches as a replacement for a KB that came with Kailh holes(only color change allowed). Don't know where I got that info from but I seem to have sworn by it. Now I can only see articles saying they are compatible. Well thanks for helping clear that one out. Whenever I get some time I will probably swap out all of the switches for new ones aswell as keep reserve.
I think they mean just like cherry is super common
Thatâs straight robbery đ
nah by niche im referring to only certain specific types of switch like choc and i think outemu has special mounting
Where do you live @placid kite
czech republic
oops
Interesting, I would think that certain European vendors could help
managed to find 120 pack of gaterons for 40 USD(shipping is 2 USD)
Regardless of having a warehouse in our country amazon seems to not really be fond of shipping here lol. West and east division is still a thing. especially when it comes down to shopping for niche stuff like KB switches/caps.
Yes outemu have special mounting and akko switches fit in there as well as boba switches
bobas also fit regular mounting tho right?
wrong ethnicity to ask
the Czech make great pistol firearms, notably the Alien pistol and CZ-75 which has the ability to fire both .22 and 9mm rounds
so foot perforator and instant head puncture
Damn bro, that crazy bro - but I don't see how asking a relevant question see if there are any better providers to and get a better price is relevant to me getting gunned down in the street like a true Florida Man

who knows, if he gave you his real address it might as well be the last thing you read
I mean, only if I planned to visit
I can safely rest assured that my virtual connection will protect me for now

I use nordvpn so I must be safe
ever noticed how if you rotate the p and n in nord vpn it says smthn very different
Lol, thatâs pretty interesting
almost as if it was planned
Yes
obviously the stabs lmao
mhm
How can I fix my cheap mechanical keyboard? All of the keys work except the space bar sometimes does and sometimes doesnt
Like it malfunctions
Is it hotswap ?
Yes : just change the switch
No : desolder the switch and solder a new one
Welp i guess I just have to buy a new keyboard 'cause 1) I don't know how to desolder or solder stuff and 2) it's really hard to find just switches here in India
I guess I'll just take it to the HP service center and get it replaced if that's possible
Yeah don't mind it it's like I got it for around $40
It was my first time purchasing a mechanical keyboard so I wanted to buy something cheap
Well you can check if there's interference that would prevent the spacebar to go down all the way to actuation point
So they do
Interesting
Is it dangerous to disassemble a keyboard
I wanna do it so I can put tape on my keyboard and make it white
just be careful with the cable inside the board and you'll most likely be fine
Nope jsut be careful not to break anything, on most baords the only thing you really have to worry about is the cable when you first open the board
Does it snip easily
Don't cut the wire
just unplug it.
do NOT cut it pls
That doesn't answer
What
Did you not just say you were gonna cut the cable?
No
I asked if it was simple to cut a cable because I wanna disassemble the keyboard
Yea, don't cut it
I don't wanna break it
Just unplug it
The cable will plug into the keyboards pcb, it should unplug in some
Yes I realise
Ok
Can you send a picture?
I m on a trip
I know nothing about the interior of a keyboard
I m acting like I know shit but I don't
So you haven't opened said keyboard?
No
Ok, well there's a plug on the inside of the board. You do not have to cut the cables
Ik
I m not that stupid why would I cut the cables
I just wanna put some tape so my keyboard is white
What s inside of a keyboard
Do I have to remove the key caps
What do I have to remove before I only have the case
Depends on the board
Do I unscrew it from behind or is it hidden under the keycaps
I'd google a disassembly guide for your specific board
By board do you mean key board
There's lots of different mounting systems
Mhm
Mine is a random thing on Amazon so not sure I ll find it
I barely found a review of a 9 year in his basement
Screws will be on bottom or under keycaps
It's a mk21 pro
Looking for some mouse recommendations anyone got one ?
Budget?
none
Ordered a Mx master 3 but idk
wish it had 250hz
I have a G Pro rn but its very buggy
gpro superlight is good hyperx pulsefire haste is solid, and glorious model I looks good
I donât think heâs talking the GPX
I believe itâs the wired G Pro, possibly
Using a gaming mouse at 250hz
Expect it to be buggy, 500hz should be precise though
use it at 1000hz
There are various versions of the G Pro
G Pro W
Oh I see
didnt see his message tho
Either way its the 2nd GPW that is buggy
G Pro wired, G Pro Wireless (the one thatâs black w/ RGB and hotswap buttons) and the Superlight (two colour schemes, no RGB and hotswap)
And lighter than the norm Wireless by 30 grams
yeah im still looking for a new mouse
Still from Logitech or open to other options?
Or both
Just looking for good battery life
basically preference if u like lighter or medium weight or larger or smaller or whatever, hand size and grip is main thing
Pro X Superlight it is, lasted me 6 weeks on first charge
so u want wireless 100%?
1000hz as well
Had one then it broke
Superlight is very good
got a refund
Other people have seen 2 week minimum results as well

Looks like he donât trust the superlight anymore
Wasnt even using it the battery just didnt charge
So it was defective
Did you order the powerplay version instead of cable charging
Because those are different by a country mile
nah
And beanz, itâs a thing
Which many people are annoyed at - the charging versions
Cabled canât do powerplay and vice versa
If only the MXM 3 has 250hz
Yea I was responding to the cringe emoji
Because 125hz is real slow
isnt superlight 1k
1k if you really need precision, 500hz is the go to for good battery life
If youâre still using 250 or 125 get outta here
Ill have a look for other options I guess
Sure itâs fun when you have a 49â ultra wide and the sensor overshoots a shitton on 1600 DPI or smth and you can track one side to the other in one small wrist movement, but impractical usually
So you really want good battery life
Yeah
I mean look for mice which are disposable battery powered then
Every few months to a year of battery life depending on the type of mouse and use case
Yeah I guess thats a good idea
If youâre keen on Logitech, the G305 is their replace-battery powered buddy
But bad PTFE feet compared to the Superlight
Tarnished, black compared to virgin grade
Are you fine with wired or set on wireless?
Wireless
I want to reduce all the cables in my setup
I guess that would work
wait so wh ydont u like the superlight again?
Iâm a gaming mouse kid so if people have productivity picks feel free to shout them out
Defective model
And he wants longer battery life
But rechargeable batteries donât offer his needs
Plus a lot of them save for the Razer Viper Ultimate with a dock charge with cables which he wants eradicated, no cables at all
well idk then im also a gaminng mouse guy and only productivity mice have good replaceables imo
Yea well productivity wireless is all rechargeable nowadays, the good picks
I mean doesnt have to be made for gaming
Sometimes that comes with perks
ie >250hz
Like the Logitech G502, tons of shortcuts which can save me time in Photoshop
He set it to 250hz because of the âpoorâ battery life :p
oh
500hz would be decent
I mean how long of a battery life are you talkin
So I have a few picks here - Razer Basilisk V3/Deathadder V2 X, Logitech G305
I had a deathadder for a while
Charge once and forget for a long time
Those are disposable battery powered and offer 200+ hours of battery life
Solid mouse
like logitech mx or smthn?
Roughly 20 days if you game 10 hours a day, productivity which doesnât require such intense tracking probably a year or 3 months or smth
Yeah I guess
how long does the superlight last with rgb off?
It has no RGB
But mine lasted me 6 weeks on the first charge cycle
So around two months
Second charge cycle either faring worse or the software is crappy at telling me accurate battery life readings
oops, ;-; ok well I dont look at mice often
Np the casual kid easily mistakes it for the G Pro Wireless which does have RGB and hotswap side buttons for left/right handed gamers
And suitability for both competitive MOBA/MMO or FPS gaming
personally just disable software, save the profile I want then disable ghub till Ineed it next
I need the battery readings
time it
They arenât onboard
yeah but do they really work?
say every week plug it in
Itâs different every charge cycle
Yea they do
Not completely off the charts and the battery is lost s reasonable amount daily
It has memory, but not battery readings
OH I see
The G Pro Wireless has onboard battery readings though
If you observe the marketing images, those three dots behind the click panels are battery indicators
not in really in my experience
All are green between 70-100 percent, yellow in two buttons and one disabled 30-69 and red on one indicator 1-29 percent
Have a laugh if you want
manufacturing process can differ each individual model from another
second week
Not something I'd do, am prevent memory effect
but I'll do it every 4 weeks or smth, yea without the software
though I do like G HUB tbh, using it to program commands for Krunker
which are usually letters that I've memorised the functions for
Typing on linears
hm?
You'll figure it out soon
Speaking of typing anyone use gazzew boba u4 switches before
i got a switch tester with them and i like them but dont know how theyll feel in a full keeb
G305 have disposable battery ... more than a year of use with the original one ... you can use aaa lithium with adapter for lighter weight... it's kind of bottom heavy with the stock battery
Also razer orochi v2 has disposable battery too
That's what I did too when using the g305 ... also the led on it tells you when the battery is low ... but it's quite small and hard to notice
yea
Supposed to feel amazing from what I read from all people that had them
off topic, have any of you used wasd custom keycaps? or heard anything whether their quility is alr?
Never had them sorry
I dont think they're too big
https://www.wasdkeyboards.com/104-key-custom-cherry-mx-keycap-set.html
I either have akko or some random keycaps I find on amazon ... the fecker set I have is nice
yea I'd get akko but im not a fan of their profile options and the sets that do come in cherry dont look too apealing to me
UV coated abs ...
didnt even see that
They have low asa profile too
yea
abs is fine with me honestly, not thilled its not double shot but eh
whats a good keyboard under $100?
what size do you want
also do you want rgb and also if you know what switch type you like that would help but dw if u dont
anything from these companies will suit you well: leopold, Keychron, durgod, varmillo, akko and royal kludge (on the lower end but still decent)
60%
rgb recommended if not ok
Orochi is đ© compared to G305 ngl
but yea, I was saying the Superlight has an insufficient battery indicator, its only either green or red
ducky one mini is decent i think
i like the name lol
can also check out keychron tho idk whether their 60% is under 100
Keychron K12 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard. 60% Layout. Wireless or Wired. and users can hot swap every switch in seconds with the hot-swappable version. Compatible with Mac, Windows, iOS, Android, Linux. Keychron Optical, Gateron Mechanical or Keychron Mechanical Switches. Connect up to 3 devices. 15+ RGB Backlight
g pro switches tho...
looks sick
K12 is good though i would get the hotswappable version so you can change switches later on
and? most people arent gonna care
u right u right
whats the difference
blues are the only ones in stock tho i think
also this granted its a 65% but its not that muhc bigger https://akkogear.de/collections/keyboards/products/black-pink-3068b?_pos=25&_fid=f3330d479&_ss=c&variant=42423458824437

tf is keyboard lube
ibo I'd go for the aluminum model
oh i was looking at rgb backlight not alum frame my b
welcome to mechanical keyboards
you put lube in the switchs and stabilaizers to make it feel and sound nicer basically
lmao
yup
đ
what if the cable it connects via is female
smooths out the feel
Its a german website
there are different terms for different genders
akko is internatl
stick it in then
i think
just change it at the top left to english

yea
that would be the right
oops
ergo layout
mhm
I'd like to play FPS and MMO on that and see if it induces more wrist strain or actually relieves it
is this keyboard good?
From æ·±ćł in China eh
its a solid baord
what?
its how you write "Shenzhen" in proper characters, saw it mentioned in the description
ah
though simplified chinese, I'm not Taiwanese
well akko still makes very sold boards
meh
not really
modern USB-C wired connection, hotswap, reliable switches known for reliability, white backlighting or optional RGB, incline settings, ability to be customised
thats my input on this at least :p
...
also keycaps that dont suck
and how much of this matters to your gameplay?
and a format thats useable, not something like 1800 which is all the keys mashed next to each other
dye sub or doubleshot abs/pbt
and no clear distinct spacing between each type of key, i.e. letters and punctuation, function keys
also a profile you like
basically up-to-date and not handicapping
not really anyhting you can use basically any keybnaord ever for gaming
I ordered 4 mice
like if a keyboard requires a micro-USB wired connection, where am I to find a replacement which is a suitable length and individually selling
303, mx vertical, model D wireless
the Logitech G303?
and Rocat air

Yeah shroud editon

its USB C
I do claw grip
the scroll wheel is completely smooth too, but at least it has a good battery indicator
if not ill return it
going to arrive today
as long as the charging isnt on the bottom of the mouse im fine with it
all akko keyboards are mostly sold out is there any company that is similar to them?
Get a keychron
welcome to mechanical keyboards
lmao
keychron is good ye
Got a Q1
ducky one 2 mini is also solid enough if u dont like it
And im selling it
I like that mouse
custom keyboards are overrated
ok
blasphemy
its a hobby
G303 Shroud Edition: Claw-grip, smooth scroll wheel with no texture, USB-C charging, chonk body, with "Logitech x Shroud" printed on the top of the body
MX vertical: no comment
D wireless - pog for drag clicking, USB-C charging, you can adjust debounce time in Glorious' software, right hand ergo-slanted
Roccat Kone Pro Air - Scroll wheel some people dislike being quite frictional, cool RGB coming from underneath left and right click, clunky software, sensor accuracy problems
theres not really a huge gain to it
in RTINGS test model, sensor undershot the set DPI by 26%

its only a problem for some people though
not all models have that
model d for drag clicking đ€ą
yea ok its slanted which makes sense
but it has similar settings to an O
so you can take down the debounce time for drag
So the 303 is trash ?
what does hot swappable mean
best out of all the others really
since you're claw
its inconsistant, half the bumper is comb, slanted, only goes down to 2ms debounce
if it was palm, definite no
On the keychron website^^^
it means you can change out the switches
You can change out the switches built in, for your own ones
na not doin tht
without desoldering
oh sorry, it mean the switches can easily be takin in and out without needing a soldering iron/taking the whole board apart
if a switch dies it makes it much easier to change
Im just looking for a comfortable mouse for palm
I do like a claw palm grip
Didn't you say you claw gripped
its a fuckin cube
oh ok then the 303 should be alr
does it run out of battery
its like a in between
or sum shit
what? no, its a mechanical swithc over time the metal mechinism will get worn out
I get you, the G303 will force you into a proper claw
not often tho
about how long does that take?
no
but it won't feel uncomfortable
like 5 years or more
I just want USB C tbh
if its that reliable
nvm
really helps
G303 is USB-C
pretty much all your picks are USB-C
does anyone know any good budget mice?
acouple years, ive been into custom keyboards for 3 years now and never had a switch die knocks on wood
i might check out one of the razer mice pyro recommended bigboi
ok
like, logitech g305 maybe
glorious model I is solid
logitech g502 hero or whatever the newest version is called is always decent
What are some other USB C mice ?
what is better? wired or wireless mice?
same level
doesnt really matter at this moint aslong as its not some cheap office mouse
lol
Lightspeed is the wireless equiv
but its pretty expensive, around the same price as a GPX
đ
up to whether u want to deal with a cable or charging it
Razer DeathAdder V2 Pro - Wireless ?
do yall know any good mouse pads under $30?
Hmmm yes it is
is it any good ?
Viper Ultimate better though
I remember it has quite a big flaw but gotta check
idk just go on like amazon
novel keys has nice ones but they're shipping will get you
kenetic labs has some nice ones
lttstore.com has some more expensive ones
Itâs micro-USB charging, and has a high lift-off distance
I.e the cursor will stutter on screen noticeably when you life to reposition ur mouse
Dam it not much USB C mice
Northern lights desk pad in any size you could ask for 30$
A lot actually are USB-C but there are old picks still stuck with micro-USB
and some gaming mice donât live up to their name
I thouhght they were more?
What are some I should look at ?
I recommend you just order the mx vertical for office work and Viper Ultimate
The Viper has a dedicated charging dock
huh could have swore they were more
Dont wanna buy 2
You just ordered 4
But I will keep one
in that case go for the Viper Ultimate
Itâs got buttons on both sides of the mouse
who has a good table ?
So plenty of macros already without looking like a G502
and you can assign a Hypershift layer for a total of 18 programmable inputs
are you rebuilding you whole ssetup or smthn lmao
Including reprogramming left and right click
idk bro just look up like top 10 tables
id say ikea but their shit keeps falling apart on me lmao
yes
i dont have a set up
im making one
2 alex doors and a big slab of wood
nice
ah, nice nice
i need bigger monitors so i can yk what to....
Oh great what agony
đ
get the keyboard working ofc
The Viper Ultimate is micro-USB
i had to find myself a waterproof keyboard
Yeah
doesnt it have a dock?
pain and suffering
There are versions which sell without the dock, and with it
make sure you have a good chair btw
very underated part of setup
I'd use the viper ult in a heat beat if it had double clicking and didnt have the side bottons on both sides, its so nice
@steady hatch buy the one with the dock and you wonât have cable problems when charging
got any suggestions
secretlab
ok
you're telling me sitting on a 100$ staples "gaming" chair
b*tch im tryna find a chair not a car wtf
you just called me out so hard
this is like $600
ur looking at the most expensive one
oh
Any reviews of the Razer pro click ?
well wheres the clearance section?
https://secretlabus.myshopify.com/collections/all?type=chair put in ur height and weight then sort by low
Feel incredibly comfortable for long hours with the best gaming chair in the world. Shop from the full range of award-winning Secretlab chairs now.
I'd personally jsut get a nicer office chair. but I've never used a seceret lab and really hate it when companies spit their logo everywere so I could be wrong/bias
theres a tab that says shop by in sale
it doesn't have 7 foot on there
i agree with this but its hard to tell whats a nice office chair sometimes
true
lol
well, could go to a big box store and just try em
tru but also feeling from sitting for hours is where it really matters
how you gonna put me in the "clearance" section and theyre still $580
fair
i have yet seen a below 500 đđđ
my biggest mistake with my chair was leather, it wouldnt bother me if it wasnt leather
if ur actually 7' then ur gonna need a expensive chair to not die of back pain
lmao
just try some chairs at office max or staples
im better off buying pewds 399 chair
get one that has a mesh back and lumbar support
^facts im just gonna go to dollar tree
if u want cheaper ones
^
get a mesh chair. trust me on ethat one
used herman miller chairs are cheap many offices throw them out
where
OYYY these look niceee
youre righttt
has absolute jack for lumbar
if u can score a hjerman miller those are top of the line
hence why he said used
fuck that
Shop Magis Spun Chair and see our wide selection of Outdoor Chairs at Herman Miller. In stock, exclusive, and ready to ship -- authentic modern furniture from iconic designers.
$800!??!?!?!?!?!
i can 3d print that shit
used they can be had for pretty cheap
looks fuckin 3d printed
they're as top a line chair as you can get
lmao i need an office to throw one out for me
hope offices start using gaming chairs
im sticking with this
idgaf about lumbar i dont even know what that shit is
$40 is $40
no thats gonna break ur back
at least look up top 5 chairs under 100$
Herman Miller is a premium company, like Whittakers chocolate in NZ
$20 USD for a slab
around $50 NZD
........
for a slab of chocolate
i actually looked it up thinking u were talking about a slab of wood
bc if u was talkin about a slab of wood i wouldve bought that shi an used it for my desk bc thats a killer ass price for wood
đ
My brother bought a $1050 xchair
couldve gotten a decent pc with that
I have a 800$ tempurpedic chair that my mother gave me ... it gets really hot during summer time sadly
But it's really great besides that ... tons of adjustments points to adapt it to the way you're made and sit ... not the other way around
Also my desk must be good ... it's like 20 years old
South shore is the brand ... not even sure it still exist now
He already got a decent pc đ
Well its outdated now its a 2070 8th gen i5 i think but he doesn't play games he is a statistics analysis guy
how do you know? have you ever used an ergo chair?
guy 2070 ahnd 8th gen aint outdated
it feels good to cit in
thats a pretty poor representation but ok
like it has a built in mesh lumbar
That's miles from all the adjustments an ergonomic chair has tho
Really tempted to get zy's rail wireless ...
Damn what kind of udjestments
I'm thinking about getting linear mx reds or should i not and get a controller instead?
Their Embody is currently at the top of my list for "likely to get" just because finding an ergonomic chair for both my height and size is near impossible, lel
tahts quite unfortunate
193cm height, majority of products end proper support at 175-185cm, and when you find those for my height, they are made for very wide people, resulting in things like shoulder support being just, next to my actual shoulder shoving uncomfortably their edge into it, they seem to expect body builders or very very "large" people usually with standard width vs height
yikes
imagine your wallet, when your size doesn't exist for anything, chairs, clothing, etc
so even a single pair of proper pants costs 300+, height of 193cm with the width comparable to average 165cm tall person
welp, ordered 1100 worth of custom keyboard components
ik how you feel, for shirts I have very long arms its very rare for me to find any shirt thats arms are actually long enough without the wrest of the shirt being absolutly huge
lmao, what'd you get?
I've got long arms in comparison because my spine lost 6-7 cm of height, but meh
hands reach my knees
I saw something that looked nice and ordered it, it was for once not a basic slab sold for 5-10x its value
I ain't paying 300-800$ for a basic slab
ah fair enough lol
When I see keycult, I see basic razer keyboard worth 50$
it looks about the exact same, just better material
its like Ikea, but another company makes it out of better quality, about the same appearance, but asks 20x the price
so I pretty much only get keyboards with nice design or alternative layouts
fair enough
but to be fair to companies its kinda hard to innovate with keyboards too much, general public just want black/white sleak/clean builds
I mean, it isn't too hard, they can easily add some shapes, patterns, etc
something other than a single colored slab priced 200-1000
fair enough, but the more complex the patterns get the less people its going to apeal to, while a solid color is more likely to apeal to a much larger audience
I do agree it would be niec to see some more out there boards tho
eh ig
it does look alot higher quility
ofc higher qualit y
tho it isn't exactly much different in appearance
feel gonna be obvs
yea I see you're point
but that's comparing the usual trash quality rattle toys to now actually custom made and allowing you to choose yourself
yea yea
question for ya'll, would anyone happen to know smthn close to this?
armrest hight, width, front and back, back up and down, forward and backward, seat forward and backward, tilt and some more I forget ... also that's just my chair, other ergo chair might have more adjustments
That would be a great layout
I think that all keyboards just look like keyboards. But regardless of what it looks like. Its definitely all about how it feels.
"keyboards just look like keyboards"
ofc, they are boards with keycaps on them
but that can be any design and shape they want, and they decide to ask 500$ for a standard slab, that's just too much
if it was only about how it feels, people wouldn't be spending more than like 50$ on a keyboard case, lel
SPECS Material: ABS material Profile: Cherry Profile Production Method: Doubleshot Total Keys: 153keys Manufacturer: ePBT Friendly Reminds: Only Keycaps included, no keyboard Compatibility Cherry MX switches and MX-style clones DZ60 REV3.0, DZ60RGB, DZ60RGB ANSI,DZ60RGB WKL, DZ65RGB, KBD67 REV2.0, KBD67 MarK II, KBD75
opposite colors, this is the only thing I can kinda think of
I mean
That's my point though.. There's pretty much only 1 keyboard design. Then a few more with keys removed and more compact. They all look like slabs. The only thing that changes is the style of the keycaps the switches and the internals. Which is what you're paying the difference for. Nobody really looks at a keyboard and goes "wow that's amazing".. but once you type on a keyboard for the first time you can say "wow that's amazing"
keycaps, switches, and 99% of the internals, are not what you pay for
because they aren't even delivered with them
and I don't think you know people don't just buy their keyboard purely for the feel, otherwise the whole market would be the exact same everything, no paint, no nothing, just bare PCB, bare everything
people wouldn't even get into custom keyboards if that were the case (other than the rich few who just think "might as well just go overboard and get custom", lel)
those arrow keys look really nice
in your opinion, the "different mounting styles" thing is just fluff?
nope
saying "all people care for is feel" is just wrong "nobody really looks at a keyboard and thinks wow amazing, but once they type they do"
ever seen the average person starting to get into anything?..
majority would, even if they get to touch it (something they can't, as they can't be tried before actually buying and waiting), think just like with audio "it is better, but for that price, no.. it's also way to big and ugly"
tho there obviously are those who are like that, just like with anything who purely want functional like minimalists, even if technically appearance is still the reason behind it, like less cluttered
(tho, many of those are also just flexing, like getting keycult just because expensive)
not saying physics don't exist

Is this good?
Holy that's a lot
Close enough, tyty
I like the embody but ended up going for the Aeron because I like a stiff lumbar support
The embody is a great chair either way
Posture fit SL is a godsend
That sounds like a updated Aeron ngl
I would've maybe thought about aeron if it wasn't built for a body builder width wise
size scales both ways on them, need it taller, not wider
but that's not an option for the aeron
embody seems like the best option, just because it doesn't even have them, the shoulder "support"
Dont get this
wasnt plannin gon it
oh KBDfans has trash moulds
mhm, I've heard that
like so trash that every letter if another size
yikes
guess how I found out
They wanted be to pay for shipping which is like 70% of the keycaps value
But I did get a 20 USD discount
ah
it's a epbt set though I doubt kbdfans is actually the one manufacturing it, only distributing it
idk where to fine keycaps, Ive seen lots of designs, know lots of places to get them. but i cant seem to find a design that really looks nice to me. I've been thinking of getting a set off wasd keyboards but idk, everyone I've asked has said they're fine but not great and idk if I wanna spend 100$ for a fine but not great keycap set
thats true
There's a gmk set that is in that same black and white colorway which I was looking at too but it was a group buy so yea
I have also seen people combine sets but that's quite expensive, this is the only set that you could really do that easily with
Are 60% keyboards good for gaming that requires a function row but not rly numbers?
all đ use đ case
Namely Minecraft, where I donât need the numbers cause I can scroll through my hotbar but function row is really important
for minecraft all you'd have to do is to hold fn and press the number that associated with the f key you want
Ok
Is there a way to inverse that?
So it does F by default
And then hit Fn to enter a number
no, unless if there's a option in via to do that and you'd need a qmk supported keyboard for that
Ok so that depends on model and brand
Tbh Iâve never needed a numpad but a function row is useful so itâd probs be TKL for me
yea idk
really beautiful
get waht ever tooks like enough keys for your use case
oh yea I've looked at monochrome before
Wireless and TKL with tactile and RGB
some people like to combine the drop gmk sets to get the same effect
hmm, maybe
ig it's better than getting insane prices on mechmarket
yea ig
ryzen what's some good plate mount stabs?
I've been looking at durock but I can't find any shops that sell a plate version
uhm, never really looked at plate mount stabs, doesnt durok also make plate mount tho?
I'm sure they do but I can't find them on any marketplace
are the "zug gear" ones the same thing?
it looks like maybe zug gear is just distributing them?
Heard that zug gear distributes durocks on many servers
ah i see
Can someone recommend me, fully 5/3 pin hot-swap keyboard. Wired, and under $100 (lower price the better.)
What ever meets your needs
I liked the durgod one but the spring ping on the mx browns was soo annoying
If you care about acoustics that much get third party switches
Is redragon k631 or koi co 61 good?
rather the koi co 61
Foam under the pcb.
I wouldn't get a red dragon
What about koi co 61
Why would you just leave gaps for the windows key and fn or whatever and not just include the keys
anyone get a MX master 3 ?
When you change the scroll mode does it make a sound when you do it. As in the wheel itself ?
Any thought about the zy's rail ?
does anyone know anything about the feker ik75?
what about it
i have constant rgb rainbow ring going around my keyboard, and no matter what setting i chnage in the software it doesnt go away @lilac salmon
very annoying...
its fine but pretty bad for the price
all the mx masters do
I own the 2s and original both of them make a audible click when switching
the 3 is less noticeable tho
ALOT less
owned all three, 3 is least noticeable
you feel it, but not really hear
as someone who owns it, barely
I hear it at night with nothing else making sound ig
one of the two major changes between 2s to 3, smooth "magnet" scroll wheel and shape
still doesn't last at all tho physically, as most of the shell is just rubber glued onto plastic slowly peeling off the more you rub on it, especially next to the right mouse button (as well as stain it, especially on the lighter color)
Yeah the one I got is kinda trash since it double clicks and the buttons arent at the same height
I think that the scroll wheel is kinda broken coz it doesnt roll straight
I am now looking for a new Mouse again
both my 2s and original have yet to start double click, I do feel like the build quality has decreased tho, my original does feel a bit better and the button clicks are less hollow compared to the 2s
ew honeycomb
So what do you recommend ?
what are you using the mouse for first of all
what kind of games and what kind of work
does weight matter at all to you
imo shape and comfort is more important than anything for a mouse
find the kind of shape that works well for you and then check the option for that shape
if you want something more ergonomic get either a Basilisk or G502, logitech for many people have issues with double clicking I'm not too sure about razer, from my personal experience I have yet to get a double clicking logitech mouse, out of my 2 mx masters and g703
the g604 is also a good option
The Mx master 3 I got now has double clicking and a crooked wheel
I have had 2 GPW and they have both failed
if you want to avoid double clicking then get something with kailh switches or optical switches
omron in logitech, specially the 50M click, have a tendency to double click more than in other mouse maker ... something about the voltage logitech use
Stay away from corsair at all costs, all they sell is cheap trash
So which mice would you say are worth the money ?
Might try the GPWS
but idk if its worth the mark up
its less material for more money
Razer has some nice profiles, I haven't had a razer mouse since my old deathadder pro so I can't say anything towards their longevity but their mice are top notch
for me the most comfortable I found so far is the cooler master mm710 ... that shape is close to perfect ...
xtrfy m42 is also really nice
logitech g305 has a really easy to like shape
I'm a Mx master fanboy so I'd take that almost always, I can't live without my horizontal scroll and gestures
and infinite scroll
logitech is kinda luck based tho
Does your mx master sometimes not scroll ?
like I will be using the regular scroll and it will go the opposite way
nah works perfectly fine, I've had my original since 2017 and my 2s since 2021
hmm weird
only issue I've had is with the 2s wheel going a slight bit over when switching modes, and the gesture button not being the most high quality, it creaks a bit
my original doesn't have those issues at all
Is the MM710 worth the money you think ?
its like 60GBP
personally I'm not a fan of honeycomb at all
MM731 Wireless
I looked at this one from cooler master looks ok but seems kinda poorly built
The shape on it does look far better
Honestly all these options are overwhelming
The razer basilisk would be my recommendation, it uses optical switches so it shouldn't have double clicking issues
it's more on the ergonomic side
Is honeycomb bad ?
I see
What about the viper ultimate ?
Im looking for something wireless, good battery life and not too expensive
it's not going to be as comfortable since it's a ambidextrous mouse I can tell you that much
Im sending it back
same with my G Pro Wireless
2nd time I got a faulty G Pro same for the MX master
Iâd go with the glorious model o wireless
Cant find one for a decent price
they are asking like 50 more when it costs like 80
model o is also honeycomb
would be my 3rd MX master within 3 months :)
yes totally
could always try one of the older models if you don't mind micro usb
There arent many good USB C mice tbh
the master will also have by far the best battery out of all the gaming mice too
just the sacrifice you make with gaming mice
Yo what's the best silent and light typing switch, cus I need it silent for exams and light cus I have a broken hand
Mx red
there's no best
Mx red too loud
also mx red are not silent as in silenced switches ... they just don't have click jacket that makes noise
There are silent switches
I have gateron CJs but they're too loud and heavy for my hand
Apple keyboard ez
bobagum
Bobagum possible
kailh silent box pink
why you need light ... to activate key unwillingly ?
He has a broken hand or sm
Yeah hand kill
But those aren't a silent switch
light and silent
what are the profile of hyper x pudding keycaps ? ... anyone knows ?
I think they might be oem? but not sure
yes I checked and they are oem according to the amazon listing
Kailh box silent pink then
Viper Ult
It has a charging dock so less wires, at least itâll be less of a handicap when the cable is straight plugged into the dock to power it
I ordered the G303
Oh alr
Viper is like the G Pro Wireless, minus the faults
And the buttons are on both sides
But non removeable
Although there are grips
isnt the g pro like 200 dollars
ffs pyro that doesn't make sense
it's gonna be one cable either way
The G Pro Wireless is like 75 GBP on amazon and the G Pro Superlight is like 110
oh
Got the G303 to see if I like it
If not ill just stick with the G Pro Wireless
All I want is a nice USB C mouse that is good
cant be hard right ?

Yea - but I doubt the cable is gonna be sprawled all over the desk with it connected to a charging dock out of harms way
It is one cable either way, but still
just move the cable out of the way when not needed, move it to the mouse when it needs to be charged
a dock is more convenient but it shouldn't be a selling point
you shouldnt get a mouse just because it has one
Itâs not primarily for that, more so itâs high end mice that have one
So for the dock, but other factors too
Like if the Microsoft Arc mouse had a dock, the design is shitty enough that it wouldnât mean a penny
The curve already makes me barf
For a gaming mouse, sure is, for an office mouse which is crap probably not
it works fine
cables not it the way, docks not in the way, I dont see how thats a down side, Id take that over ubc cable anyday
Cause you pay more for that
And then it breaks and you try to get rid of the mouse with a broken dock
Seen a lot for sale on the used market
ah I see
doesnt seem that breakable tbh, but ig people find there ways/things happen
Also everytime you want to charge you put the mouse away on the dock
And if you're in a gaming session what you so then ...
You can use the micro USB cable
To charge simultaneously whilst playing
Itâs paracord anyway so doesnât get in the way
Then you have a wired mouse
And? You asked to charge it
The same as most lightweight mouse
Mhm
Dock doesn't bring anything
But wireless mice have battery spans which arenât infinite
Indeed
Besides
Anyone paranoid enough still knows the battery life is pretty long
And, likely to charge it daily
So itâs extremely unlikely that you need to charge in the middle of a shooting session in CS:GO
Each charge cycle diminishes battery life
Doesn't matter if you plan to throw it away after 2 or 3 years ...
Then it just become e-waste
Yea
Wireless mice are probably better than that nowadays
Software has battery indicators
I was talking about the extremely paranoid
Sorry to bother you two in the middle of a conversation; but do you two or anyone else here have any experience/knowledge with the CORSAIR K65 RGB Mini 60&? I'm thinking of getting it but cant find too many reviews on it.
It has the same battery life rating as the Pro X Superlight which I tested to have at least 4 weeks of battery life
For one thing, the keyboard kids here arenât gonna give you any pointers
Lot of people will just put it on the dock when not using the pc
ah alright
They prefer proper keyboards over gaming
Iâll say a few things though - only linears are installed
its bad dont get it
So no tactile or clicky switches
Any recommendations?
And you canât adjust the incline settings
I just want a keyboard which wont internally combust when I do 120wpm on it
size and budget?
like my crappy dell membrains
Always angled at like 4 deg
great
Look at Keychron or Ducky options
alr
