i can't find the specs
nvm
those are blue switches
the exact opposite of what i want
Ah i didnt see what switches you want
preferrably red, but i can work with silent red or silver speed

i actually think it looks quite good, unfortunately i can only find it with red switches from the uk
~100usd
they have other colors and switches
this is like in between the compact
and full layout
arrow keys are still separated
which is nice
Getting my First mechanical Keyboard today, a Roccat Ryos MK Glow. Any thoughts on it?
sure its cherry mx red?
Heard that blue switches are loud af
a review said the blue switches were cherry mx blue
i'm assuming the red ones are cherry mx reds
I’ve got a Corsair keyboard with cherry mx speed silver rgb, and I’m just curious how I could get rid of that spring resonance/echo sound, would key switch lube be the answer? Except the switches are soldered down so I couldn’t open them up
lube the springs
and add foam inside the board to eliminate hollowness
you can desolder them
Is there any way to get around desoldering them?
nope
i finally settled down on a keyboard
i'm about to buy it, but i just want to do a last check
is there anything important i should know about the redragon k618 horus?
Good 60% or 65% keyboards for 70 USD? or less lol
Redragon is fine also
its what i used like some weeks ago
still alive today after 2 years
gonna mod it and give to GF with some akko CS switches
barebones or fully built?
Are there any that are barebones for that price?
tom680 sells for about that price iirc
Oh wait I mean fully built then
Because the switches are like 30ish right
And keycaps are more
NONONONONINONONO the pcb is trash it dies so fast I’m not exaggerating
U could get cheap caps
Fully built is what im looking for then ig
that was the 1st batch. new one comes with higher tolerances afaik
Wait really
yeah
Ok
Get a ducky one 3 mini
fully built boards i reccomend are the gamakay k61 and the redraggon fizz. if you're willing to go full bluetooth barebones, get a tester68 for 15-20$ and use the rest of the money on keycaps and switches
could you guys possibly link me something I could buy prebuilt or parts to make a keyboard
Preferably the case with the pcb, keycaps and switches
Have you heard of the rk61?
No the tester is bad I feel like I haven’t tried it but for that cheap the pcb will be as worse as the tm680 1st batch
never heard any problems with it though
Ye
i doubt it considering that the tester61 just seems like a rebranded GK68 with no wires. everyone i know who's bought one has been fairly satisfied with it
yeah
rk61 is the same as the reddragon fizz afaik
different case that looks better imo but most 60% budget boards will be the same
you will have to modify the stabs- stock stabs on cheap prebuilts will always suck, but other than that the RK is pretty good. as much as possible try and get the hotswap version to mod it easier lol
I'm pretty sure it's hotswap
and also I don't think I'm gonna change anything like it's not gonna be bad stock right?
rattly stabs but it'll be fine stock yeah
then try and look for a listing that specifically says it's hotswap
also, mxtt, are you buying just from aliexpress?
Isn't all the rk61's hotswap though?
the one on amazon is
this 1
womier boards are a little more expensive than 70$ but those boards are full acrylic with hotswap
tester68
tester68 with any cheap switch- afaik it's 20$ in the US if that's where you're located plus keycaps would probably total to under 70
I'm kinda clueless with keybaords could you please send the links to them.
If that's fine
akko also sells pretty nice prebuilts with artisan keycaps. i think their world tour 60% hotswap board is like 70$
here are the ones i'd reccomend
Thank you
np
nope. i have 2 of them coming in and i've never heard any complaints from people who own them
Oh ir doesn't have a backlight does it?
nope
And last thing do you think it will like a year or 2?
it hasn't even been out for that long but as long as you take care of it i'm pretty sure it'll be fine. i've had more expensive pcbs die on me for no reason but these seem to be ojk
*ok
Wait no last last thing. So you recon I should buy the keyboard and then buy my own keycaps and switches
thanks
yeah this doesn't come with them
those are up to you now but if you want any budget switches, JWICKs and akko CS series switches are good
also everything from KTT but i have no idea whether they're available there or not
What switches are the ones that come with it sorry
And thanks for all your helo
Help*
i don't know. they look like they could be akko radiant reds but since i'm not able to read it i can't be sure
mx reds don't look like that
no mx switch i know has a red bottom. i'm half sure those are just akko radiant reds but unless the reviews or the listing say so i can't be sure
it is
this is a membrane board bro
if it was mechanical you'd be able to see the switches
what does this have to do with that board being a membrane i'm lost
It's not worth it to get a expensave camera for a webcam
Unless your a streamer
Average views?
bruh
proof?
bro it says you're 9
your bio says that you're 9 in there bro
And your getting a dslr
No offense unless you have like a decent amount of concurrent viewers
you shouldn't get a dslr
womier / akko / royal kludge actually good
i would just recommend changing thes stabs tho
to cherry plate mount stabs and doing the holee mod, can be found in youtube
Idk how many people will have this issue here, but Corsair refuses to add modifier key support to Macros for most of there keyboards, because as it turns out they recently added it to the k65 mini which is a tiny keyboard so it needs it obviously, but they still don’t have support for any of their other keyboards
Just so obnoxious that you have to do this stupid profile switching trick to do something as simple as shift+key for a macro
anyone used the kemove software before?
that person already bought the reddragon im pretty sure
I have the snowfox but never used the software ... I think minimalistic review of the snow fox shows a bit about the software
here is the final plan for my build. not buying just yet cus of christmas shopping bein a b but after my old rig has sold I'm doing all this
Noticed that on the K100 which feels stupid. Like if they just let you do modifiers you wouldn't even need to swap profiles.
akko cs ocean blues vs jelly blues?
Akko lavender purple ...
can I ask about mice here? Is that legal?

Kemove Snowfox DK61 good for £92
clicks and clacks
you lost the screws that secure the plate to the case?
https://www.kemovebbs.com/Thread-Plate-Screw-Specifications
cant load the page in a fast manner smh, but i found this
yea alr found that but im not sure which ones
would these work?
How's the Logitech g513
anything will work, you just need to find the screw that matches the specification listed on that page
pretty sure those will work
@fallen mauve
shit im very sorry i misclicked
sorry mr tripp
@unkempt dome would those work?
also sorry for the ping
It depends which switches and what you are looking to do with it. I bought the romer-g tactile variant when they still had it and I loved it. One day tried modding it and I ended up braking it somehow, so I bought another identical one lol. Most people did not like the romer-g switches but I personally loved them, especially for playing games. I also bought the gx brown switches for the office and I love that one for typing. If anything, the g513 comes with the BEST wrist rest I have ever had. It is a shame Logitech does not sell it separately.
glorious makes some good wristrests ive heard
kinda overpriced imo
The one downside thought is that I did not like any of the gx switches for gaming, so if that is all you going to be using it for, I say get the G Pro X because of the hotswap sockets and it's the same price.
Looked those up and they look decent, but it is foam and fabric. The g513 is foam and leather, which I prefer. And also, no logos on the top lol
ooh fancy
good logitech
im probz gonna use my kemove shadow for gaming and this full size for learning to code/school
bc full size
yeah full size is a must for working/coding. I had a co-worker who brought his 65% to the office everyday and we still talk about him every day, long after he has left lmao
oof
i still like my 60% for typing just kuz im used to it mor, but im getting used to the other switches slowly
anyways imma head out nice talking to u
certainly!
laughs in 36 keys for work
if you have a 60 or 65% with a decent layout then it's more than enough for coding... just set up decent layers and shortcuts
tester68 came in. board is surprisingly great stock
Am I basic for just getting a corsair keyboard and not bothering to build my own
And getting a full size keyboard
I mean there’s a reason I still keep the numberpad. Best place to put shortcuts if I do say so myself
like alwaus, all up to preference
*always
it's a pretty fair response to not want to build a keyboard anyway. not being into a hobby doesn't mean that you're basic or something
lubing switches worst part of the hobby
i have 100 switches coming in to lube soon
145 depending on if the person wants them luned
*lubed
Lol
I like my keyboard tho. I don’t have plans to upgrade it any time soon
Tho I do have plans to get it fixed cause the volume wheel is being a pain
gasket mounted my keybaord
works pretty well
not really gummy o ring
its rubber bands that were connected together
works well
fixed it up too because before u couldnt close it properly
yo show?
never heard of mounting a board that way
no ik what gasket mount is lmfao
you usually use a big gummy o-ring
dont have one
so i used rubber bands lmao
connected 4 pieces of them
mounting it via rubber bands i mean. how'd you do that? just link them together?
ah
yup
tofu case or sm/th?
ohhh lol
most boards are tbf
yup really true
even my tester68 that came pre foamed and silicone'd is hollow asf
need to get that fixed along w pe or tape mod soon
dang
holee mod fixes all ig
im really proud of how i made this 16 dollar blue switch keyboard sound pretty good
still has a blue switch but soundss nothing like it
that or getting those cheap holy panda color looking stabs. still surprised w how good those are after just some lube
ooh nice
did you mod the blues?
ah i see
its a gigaware k28 if ur curious
yea
filipino brand board. kinda wanna get the outemu hotswap version of it to mod to hell
and it has "orange" blue switches
wild
i wanna get one of those with a tecware shroud
throw some KTT switches on them or something and fix the stabs
just worried about the pcb since I've seen a lot of people say the board breaks quick but afaik that's a problem with the switch itself
oh yea
abt that
this part of the keyboard is dead
except for windows key
not sure if its a pcb prolem or the switch
broke before i even got to mod the switch
hopefully
that's what I've heard is the problem most times
you can probably just desolder it
havent bought any switches yet so yea not sure
sadge
well at least it wasn't too expensive
yeaa
and the repair is hopefully not that hard
hopefully like hopefully its just the switch
not as bad as rakk board pcbs that have keys die inexplicably and burn when you solder them back kekw
yea
should i try wiring from a working switch to the dead switches
nah
that's a last effort thing and if the switch is dead you won't have any luck either way
switches are cheap anyway
outemu blues are 11 pesos each on keyzilla iirc
id offer them if i could cuz i have like 300 in my drawers rn lmfao
exag but i do have enough to fill a big board lol
ok shit phones on 1%. good luck with your board bro
yup yup thanks
wait wait its the first tiem ive heard of keyzilla
could you give me a link for it?
Those looks like wood screw ... I would not use that ...
apology accepted
I'll try to measure the screws on mine and see if I can get some results ... can you wait for the weekend for the info ?
my keycap puller broke

keebzilla apparently i got their name wrong
i got my KTT kang whites there
r u form the phil too?
danggg they have some good offers
ye they're a pretty solid retailer. got the materials for my first expensive custom from them
where in phil r u from
up north in luzon
so glad shopee exists because of how many good budget deals they are
living next to china has its perks
ahhh nice
pretty sure there are some shops there too
i think the person i almost bought a kbd67 sold there
ok,ill just use the keeb with the one screw i have left until i can get some of the exact ones
why not gasket mount it
get a large oring
wrap in the space between pcb and playe
*plate
friction fit it into case
silicon o ring?
like a giant rubber band
might i have a link?
this gasket mount with rubber bands are working well holy
Gasket mount have not much appeal for me
yea it really depends
i plan to spend my 2 weeks of christmas break on modding my keyboard lmfao
My spacebar only rattles on one side
Any fixes?
They're durock v2s lubed, holee, and band aid modded
Also wire balanced
this is the sound test of the unfinished keyboard project i have spacebar sounds bad still and still unbalanced sound cuz not all switches r properly modded yet and teh last few keys were really jsut stock keys unmodded
note its unfinished
Goddamn
Surprised you're still awake but even more surprised at how good that board sounds
Very nice and marbly
how'd you mod them?
i have a test in a few hours from now which is not good
oh ive done a lot
yea i like the sound
not that deep sound though the thock not that
oh and i gasket mounted just cuz its because i broke all the wholes for the screw i tried a bigger screw and it all went pop so i just gasket mounted it lmfao
switches i mean
again just wnat to put this out there its not done and its my first time modding a keybaord
even for a first time with bad stabs it sounds great
better than my current board rn. once i mod my tester68 probably similar
did you jailhouse the blues?
yup jailhouse
stabs suck for this one
now i kinda wanna order the browns version and mod it to hell
theres a brown version for k28?
r u serious
*yeah
i think its new LOL
thats alright atleast i have something to work with and mod with
oh and i cracked the plastic case by accident lmao
small crack only tho
how do i make the spacebar ig less hollow?
you foam modded the board entirely yet?
yup
put some moldable clay on it too
moldable clay so it doesn't get hard
i swear it works
maybei should buy pbt keycaps
pbt would be good but I'm not sure how that would help in unhollowing them
maybe try adding foam to the spacebar?
well not just that its cuz these stock abs keycaps suck
yeah they're gross
it just leaves on ur finger prints
stock abs keycaps on boards are so greasy
IKR
you can get a nice cheap pbt set for like 700-1k these days tbf
my honey/milk XDAs were only 800
could get this for 630 w/o shipping fee sheeesh
this store i recommend a lot. they gave me 298 pesos after i ordered something from them before they discounted it lol
good set tbh
bought them for a commission and theyre nice
imma check it out

nice
ima go sleep it's like 3am good luck with ur test lmfao
happy holidays brother
On a scale of 1 to
how bad of an idea is it to buy a used keyboard?
9
thanks
happy holidays as well
depends on how bad the board itself is

does it make a difference lubing linear switches?
if it looks rotten or not
It does not look rotten.
if its broken or not
It is not.
if its what you want
It is just... cheaper.
okay then its fine
how much is it
I haven't really checked keyboards. Was just wondering if it was a bad idea to buy used.
oh ya
you can always buy a budget keyboard and upgrade it on your own along with the way
when ever you want
That sounds like effort.
its fun tho
But I'm lazy.
get up on your ass and do it
No.
YES
No.
try searching the k552 mods
people like this one
including me
i have the linear one and planning on getting new keycaps
Yeah
its just 40 bucks man
i suggest dropping mechanical keyboards
and focus on staying alive
Easy to say from wherever you're sitting at
u dont get to say anything
look it up
Good idea.
surprised u dont know
Mx blues with 3d printed key caps
When the embed.
oh ya they always show the destruction
They sound great
blues?
Yup
omg
how the fuck my man
They have a weird sound
okay let me listen
ya i'd rather to have 65 or full
Google them
I want full keyboard.
okay im interested
there is a full version

still a redragon
get a good membrane
I already have one.
is it good?
why are you looking for mechanical then
especially when you dont have the money
lol
Well, mechanical keyboards are more durable, have a better lifespan, feels better when typing which I do alot of as I'm a programmer and generally
better
Can you stop suggesting keyboard modding
I won't even be able to get the max out of whatever keyboard I'll get anyways.
And most annoying part, I won't be able to turn the RGB off if it has any.

POV: Linux user.
okay most keyboards don't come good or pre lubed nor foam modded
so the experience you are looking for
will not be as satisfying
lol
If you suggest keyboard modding again I'm actually blocking you
it doesnt have to be a software
I don't need lubing or foam modding.
Facts
I'm fine with whatever comes out from the factory.
Oh yeah, I can just rip the LEDs off
okay you must look really close
It's more just to enhance the experience
okay have fun with rattly stabs
when i say mod
you will mod
wow
Orgasmic, if you will
blasted stabs
ive never imagined someone would use this word
in this context
holy shit
If you get rid of the stabilizers you won't have rattly stabs
big brain
Just don't have a keyboard.
Can't have rattly stabs if you don't have stabs at all.
TRUEE
lol you need to die
And unneceseary.
okay don't get into keyboards
That's... not very nice...

stop being lazy tho
No.
I don't know if I want to buy something from china.
Not FROM China.
no one is selling
Amazon?!? Do I look like fucking Bill Gates to you?
Maybe not in your country
you look tired
get some sleep
I am not.
Amazon charges double the price of the product to ship to Turkey.

oh im surprised my country had the k552
i bought it instantly
u cant buy shit online from here
What do you mean? It's cheap as fuck.
ya its cheap
Yeah I am
he won't find anthing
I am.
"hE wOn't FiND AnYhTınG"
You don't even live in the same country let alone region as me.
calm yo ass down
online
nobody sells their keyboards
bcz no one is interested in buying one either
where
good for u
"Nobody sells their keyboard" my fucking balls
58 listings just in my city.
"get what u want"
"both are bad"
No. This is Twitter now.
Ey boys after watching Linus's new video I got inspired to give my old z-88 a new life lol
Built up a lot of "gamer grease" on it over the years
This is the previous sound test
New
anyone able to recommend a mouse
because the mx master 3 is not as good as people say
g502 is king
What the FUCK. That's atrocious.
What were you using it for?
daily use surfing the web coding
because gaming this thing is bad
the latency is really noticeable
I couldnt disassemble it so I did pour some water on the switches, then left it for one day and now it works like a charm
@bleak siren ey man.... enough league of legends will do that to your keyboard
Dk61 for £95 good?
My hot take of the day: red switches are bad, and anyone who likes them is a fundamentally flawed human being and the switches should not even be available. Get a rubber dome keyboard.
... really? I love my mxm3
we all know the butterfly switches from apple are the best
I hate them
good wireless keyboard under 40 bucks
keyboard user doesn't care for quality of keycaps and all that
willing to build the board?
no
alr
its strange to go to someone clueless on this server when generally I at least know 50% of the topic at hand
this is the one channel thats a grey area for me
haha yeah i get that
are you willing to pay like 12$ extra?
rk61 wireless is 52$ on amazon
40 dollars is all they have left
I have a $300 budget and I'm looking for a good linear keyboard I don't care if it's tkl 100% or 60% I just want something better than what I have now
And what do you have now ?
I have a razer huntsman tournament edition with linear switches
Check out boba switches or c³ tangerines
Then get either a hot swap board or go custom
Or get an hhkb and call it a day ...
royal kludge ... I think they are more expensive now though
Doomed ... Maybe check out keychron Q1
keychron is amazing value for money. Better build than an RK, but still cheap
I'm going for the Q2 when it's out
👀
Managed RGB is a dealbreaker for me, because I am all about that RGB aesthetic, so I'm going for a claymore II
that word is part of the australian lexicon! you can't make me stop!
lol
racism against australians.
I saw drop keyboard are those good?
I have over 1000 RGB LEDs in the room, before you even start on the PC
The only rgb in my pc is on the GPU and it's cause I didn't chose which version of it I could buy
Cause I would have taken something without rgb
society
they're just okay.
not great, not bad
generally overpriced imo
Can't expect a productivity mouse to do well in gaming. Is the latency the only thing bothering you?
how should I go about cleaning a sticky key on a non-hotswap board? I've had this board for ~4 months and the A key is starting to stick, but I literally have no soldering equipment or compressed air or anything so I can't do any of the fixes I see just by googling my issue
i would say unplugging the board and putting some isppropyl alcohol on the switch and actuate it a few times
then wash it out with water and thoroughly dry it
for price of new lol
is it worth lubing red or linear switches?
Well I have non rgb ram tho
If.you think your switches needs lubing sure ... it's a matter of preference ... it changes the feel and also the sound too ...
If you put the work of meticulously lube your switches or if you swapped them out and upgraded it and if the parts of your keyboards were limited editions then in fact your keyvoard is worth more
throw them in the bin. red switches are the wooorrrsssttttt
I can feel the delay and the scroll wheel is defective i think coz it wont scroll sometimes or thats just the mouse
honestly.... that sounds wrong. mine is great - I mean if you're talking fps, sure, it's not a gaming mouse, but normal usage... no.
they are fine, i thought people hated the blues.. and the browns.. oh i see
ya but linear switches are already smooth, but yes you can make the sound better i guess
browns are good tbf
long story short, nobody likes anything
i love browns too, im not racist
i suck at typing i keep hitting 2 keys at the same time
concave keycaps me no likey
Yeah i know but it just doesnt feel right
What kind of mouse do u typically like?
I do believe in right mouse for the right job lmao
Despite how beat up my g502 is however. I will swaer by that thing
Top right but logitechs version of it
Top right if you were looking at directions mouse are facing*
how does switches translate to rasicim
theyre scratchy tho
unless you lube them
and filt them
film
well i dont get it
cz brown
i get the joke but i still dont get if yo are serious that switches translates to rasicim
you
if you can lube, you lube. if you can't lube, its fine
im just asking if it makes a difference in linear switches
i lube the legs on my tactiles kekw
it does
it does
jinx you own me ten brown switches
linear does not equal smooth
people would pay yu to take them
none of you have seen the light tactile endgame!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! /j
hmmmmm i never tried lubing switches
tho only vaseline is available here
DONT USE VASELINE
why
vaseline destroys plastics and will wreck your switches
really
yes
ive seen people use it before
no
dont try
just because people have used it before doesnt mean its a good idea
okay i can't lubemy stabs then
order some dialectric grease or something. momoda lube depending on if it's available is also a good alternative
get dialectric grease and krytox
ya i can't order
anyone have thoughts on gateron milky yellows
stuff takes ages to get here
that if they even get here
good buget smoot linear
Lubing is a preference ... switches I have doesn't need lube
theyre ok but as rubbishly said jwicks are better
if you have switches you should probably lube them
ooooo i see
gat milky yellows are pretty good buget smootch linear switch
i have gat yellows on my board right now. theyre ks3 but still gat yellows. mushier bottom out than something like a rose red or vintage white
have ya tried lubing them
hmmmm do cars use dielectric grease?
okay what does
They don't need to tho ... and lube won't bring much to most of them
well sub=0 cooling does require dialectric grease
well if you want the most out of your switch you should try lubing
ya ive seen ltt video
sub-0 cooling
okay so air cond
I don't think so ... not all switches are like that
you can lightly lube them
it does make a difference
No interested ... I know it makes a difference
alder lake sub 0
damn man mech keyboards are very high
lol linus did that tho
on cpu socket
for lubing less is more. I wish there were things u can apply more coats to get more grease but unfortunately it doesnt work like that
u dont want thick grease inside the springs itll mess up the actuation if its super light like in linear switches
dont be scared of lubing if its the long and meticulous process that is stopping you. I promise after you finish you will hear and feel the difference. You wont go back
some dont need them. I know that. but those some still benefit from it
i wish they kinda remove the "=" key and extend the backspace instead
what about + tho
well if you have Full sized, you wont have to worry about that
or just put it behind the backspace
it feels far for me
Hey guys, I was wondering which keyboard is better, Corsair K70 RGB MK.2 Low Profile Rapidfire or the Logitech G815. I will be using it for 30% gaming, 50% typing / schoolwork and 20% other stuff (e.g. watching videos/movies). Thanks.
You can watch reviews on those keyboards and see which is better based on your judgement
@limber cloak Corsair seems more "gamer" then the Logitech which i would say is more minimalist. Personally how it sounds and how tactile it is would play a major role. That logitech seems more tactile to me but am not sure
do you need rgb
if you dont get a 120 dollar tkl with tactile switches
or cheaper
dont get corsair
or logitech
logitech switches are trash
corsair has too much rgb
i want the numpad as well, cos i use it a decent amount in my schoolwork
and i have the space
oh
ok
I know how lubed switches feels and sounds like and most of my switches don't need it ... the process doesn't bother me at all and it's not the thing stopping me
yeah then get a 100% with tactile switches
oh they sound amazing
you can lightly lube switches
Do u like loud and tactile or quite and damp
I am kind of a cherry brown guy
oh o
I don't care about sound unless there's pings
do you have sound contraints
No
i wouldnt want blue-level clickiness, but smth which is medium noise level and below is ok
ok
feel?
heavy medium or light
actuation force
ok
i wanna suggest. Gmmk blacks
like you dont want too much force but u dont want too little force
w/ Gateron Black inks
hmm not sure. lemme double check
ok do you want backlit
corasir and logitech is expensive too. Budget is a concern?
yh, would be nice
£100 ish
so like $120 ish
do you want backlit
yh, would be nice
ok
like what colour keycaps
white | black | multicolour
and also buget
what buget
^^
hmm. GMMK fits in ur budget for now is also hot swappable so u can try differet switches in the future. Comes in black or white keycaps
black mainly
ok
https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=5005&switch=cherry-mx-brown you might like this
this one is also pretty nice
theyre backlit
100%
cherry my browns
ok, cool, thnx
@limber cloak lol post a sound test for us when u end up making a decision
lol, sure
they're cherry mx browns
I don't like cherry brown much
cool
unfortunately it is quite out of my budget
yh, but I need to get it in the UK, and here they're selling it for £139 ~ $185
they always make stuff more expensive here
it's out of stock, rip
thnx anyways
Is the Dk61 for £95 best option for white wireless 60%/tkl under £100
You can also check durgod and varmilo ...
varmilo boards are very expensive im pretty sure
like very
About the same price as leopold and durgod here
The leopold I've seen here were more expensive than the varmilo I've seen
Also ... there's that
https://drop.com/buy/drop-mito-mt3-noctua-keycap-set
Would fit well with my second pc
Would only miss the noctua 3070
Nah ... not the same shroud ...
And I won't 3d print that ... it's the real deal or nothing
And that will be not that card cause I won't be able to find it and I would be a performance downgrade anyway... but would be more beautiful than what I have
What form factor/size/layout ... which switches ... what material ... which color ... ? You have to provide more details ...
But if you want cheap redrafon k552 is usually cheap
and trash
what will you be doing on it, gaming, typing or both | size | any sound contraints | actuation force | backlit: yes or no | keycaps: black, white, multicolour
u need to tell me all those things
for me to give you a good recomendation
buget means under 100 bucks right
The use case of a keyboard is .mostly irrelevant unless it need macro key for the purpose of the keyboard
no im just listing some generic questions
so i can get a understanding what type of keyboard he/she wants
Budget means cheap imo ... there was no amount of money mentioned tho so I just said the cheapest board I know that is not rubber dome
Also with some mods the k552 can become a nice board
u have to get new switches
and its soldered
not hotswap
so modding is a pain
at that point you could probably get a better prebuilt
Not if the user likes them tho
And it's not soldered
Gaming and typing
It had the outemu hotswap socket which is compatible with other outemu switches, akko switches and boba switches ... and I think someone said ttc too
no one likes outemu blues
boba u4t's costs a hell lot
I was just listing the switches I remember are compatible
oh
gat switches aren't compatible
and the good switches that are compatible are expensive
Well I have some akko that i like more than some of the kailh i have and are smoother than the gateron yellow i have
Akko have good switches for a ridiculous price
unless you frankenstien them
yeah ik
ok tell me about the other stuff
And yes outemu blue are quite meh but the k552 can come with other switches than outemu blue tho ...
and the other ones are very scratchy
Well some don't mind or eve like scratchy switches or so I've been told by someone that was arguing something about cherry brown ...
And also if they are scratchy you can always lube them ... that will help a bit
ahh yes most people who want to lube
if someone is getiing k552 they probably wont want to lube
Well apparently you miss a lot when you don't lube or so I've been told
yes you do
you miss a lot
I know I'm not missing a lot
im pretty sure you are missing a lot
I have lube switches and it's not impressive on those
Not even worth the price of the lube and the time that was put in there
well i dont think so
it's a matter of preference
what other stuff?
Size/layout/switches/macro needed or not ...
yeah
everything i listed here
anything but full size, layout? qwerty I guess . Any switches / no macro needeed
tkl I guess
ok
are people around you sensitive to noise
honestly this website is stupid af
ik but ur supposed to find out info by yourself
not have a website that literally gives you semi usefull information
maybe if you have all the money in the world to spend on shit
and as someone who's spent a considerable amount on keyboards, I still recommend reading that website to learn about keyboards
yeah but im pretty sure its usless for most people (including me)
