fair enough
your first comment just made it seem like you meant none are good or worth watching. I agree that there isn't a "best". That's going to be subjective
None are worth watching in my case, not for others
Any recommendations for a decent mechanical keyboard with chiclet style keycaps? I bought an SK650 from Coolermaster a few months ago, but it immediately broke and they refused my RMA request, so ideally I’d like to steer clear of getting another of those
probably a keychron k7
a brown switches any good?
oh hey i didn’t know there was this channel lol
if anyone has keyboard questions feel free to ping me or dm me. i’ve been in the hobby for 2 years and i have a channel on keyboards
imo glarses is the most experienced and makes the most entertaining videos
hipyo has done some questionable things
squashy is cool too
hamaji is ok
Should i buy the qck edge or heavy?
whats a good keyboard that feels like a laptop?
membrane keyboards?
Is that what laptops use?
Let me send you 2 pics
okay!
okay thanks for the help, Much appreciated
Just type this in amazon and you'll get a bunch of results for membrane keyboards
You can have them with Tall Keycaps or Short laptop keycaps
Either way both will feel like laptop keyboard
I always hear about mechanical keyboards but rarely anything about membrain
It's not actually easy to find good quality membrane keyboards. I mean lenovo do sell a mini Thinkpad kb but I wish they'd also make a full size version.
The "gaming" membrane kbs usually just flashy cheaper alternatives of their mechanical counterpart.
I guess Logitech is the safest bet? Idk
i never realised how low force lavender purple switches from AKKO were
are there any windows 11 styled keycaps w a similar shape/look as these keycaps?
Those will feel like a laptop keyboard ... we actually use the hp at work and I hate that board ... but it's one of the best to resist to dust
And how are they ?
thats great for me i baiscly live in a dust storm
Well they are not dust proof per say ... but they do better than other rubber dome over membrane keyboard that have longer key travel
The dust gets in the sliding mechanism of the key and make it sticky ... it doesn't happen with those slim keyboard cause they have barely any key travel
Yeah i like the shorter travel of a membraine kb
And for my part I hate it
How do i fix my keyboard everytime i press W it wont register but if i press it alot it works
i doubt it, windows 11 too new
give it 6 months to a year
also those keycaps are a very strange profile so idk if they’ll ever be exactly those as windows 11
alr thx
What are some recommendations for affordable keycaps , preferably thick wall and 60 %
Can you define affordable?
Well go 30 - 60 for now
akko keycaps?
oh cool. lmk how they are
i'm happy with stock topre for now tbh, not like i have spare mx sets
sure
realforce typing angle is scuffed with stock caps, gonna try mt3 to alleviate it
i still need to get a realforce at some point
i like the vandal on `~ but i dont use a sleeve so i'm not leaving it on for travel lol
lmao
i doubt i'd like mt3 but would be cool to be proven wrong, i just much prefer cylindrical to spherical
fair, i'm the opposite, never liked cylindrical over spherical
What colors do you want
where can i get a keypad like this
not that many keys though
the numpad?
yeah
its called the g80-3700, you cant buy them anymore :((
i got mine from a friend
you can try ebay
nah just for like media and other stuff
yeah, if u dont care about the specific features of this one there's not much reason for it
i really wanted it cus it has ps/2 passthrough
but thats not useful to most people
nah its not completely necessary but to annoy people with soundboards it might be worth
there are lots of cheap macropads available now
im having real issues with my blackwidow,
im using my cynosa v2 currently, but to whereas my blackwidow worked for 2 months and now its sluggish, and the 7,u,j keys dont work, and whenever i turn on the keyboard, it just spams the 3,6 keys
no clue whats going on but i spent my last paycheck on it
and kinda need to use it
so if anyone does have tips, ping me or send me a message
Was told it was decent, might try and do some DIY, considering I'm getting an apprenticeship at a pc shop soon :D
Ty for the suggestions though, will definitely try it
Quick question: Is this keyboard RGB?
I think so
All I see online is it only glows white, and the black one is RGB
ROG Strix Flare
wasn't saying anything about buying or using an ROG Strix Flare
It looks like it might have lights
Darker theme , something that can go with white light or purple
Like this
sheeesh
god i want to get Topre bad but
save up for it, topre is endgame fr
maybe after Type-K
60% or 65%
gk61?
i hate that typeface ngl
i mostly wanted to show off the theme
koi-pond-themed with artisan wristrest
cause artican keycaps are
i got a Q1 and most of the keys on the side i dont use so id probably swap most of articans and make them macros or something

@coral gull
Have yall ever tried rotating your spacebar 180 degrees?
yep, currently using it rn
Okay but
see? amazing setup
(but to answer the actual question yeah i find flipped spacebar is a nice feel on some keysets but it really just depends)
I'd totally send a laptop keyboard in this channel because of how much I love my HP Spectre X360 13 lmao. Not going to do it, but it feels nice. :)
lol i have the hp elitebook x360 and i agree, they really make startlingly good laptop keyboards
Still waiting on lube but in the meantime it's great so far
click clack smack
"where's the lube"
- Keyboard enthusiasts 2021
My friend had some extra so he sent it to me last week and usps is taking a long ass time but it's coming
Even still has the stock stabs
Don't worry I have durok v2s sitting right next to me
I have not had a bad usps experience yet
no, no UPS not usps
That's what I meant got it mixed up
Ups might have put a hole in my mother board box

Mobo still works even after I also dropped my pump block on it
Way to advanced I'll stick to my gmmk pro
"diy stream deck"
its like a keyboard but dedicated to doing specific things and with pretty screens in the buttons
I know what a stream deck is
*looks at numpad, "i don't want to play with you anymore"
I am looking for a wireless keyboard that costs peanuts
Where'd you get that spacebar foam?
Not foam lol thats the plate
Currently not feeling the way mine sounds so I'm wondering what I can do to make it sound tighter and close to the rest of my keeb
Oh that's not foam?
Nah
It's metal?
dang
Niiiiice.
What other mods did you do to it?
How does the backside of those keycaps look?
What are those keycaps?
run of the mill shine through double shot pbt caps
Nothing at all been waiting on lube thenI gotta actually build it
hi I got a Keychron K8F3 recently, set up to charge from a 5V - 2A adapter, connected to my Windows 10 pc via bluetooth. it was fully charged last night. I was just playing rocket league and suddenly I start spinning in circleds and basically the input is stuck on whatever I had last input, the bluetooth LED also starts flashing as if pairing. this didn't stop until I turned my keyboard off and enabled bluetooth again with the switch on the side. Can someone explain how this happened or how I can avoid this problem in the future?

And

No switch links as I am currently looking
Any changes or nah
I feel like there aren’t a lot of these around tho, tbh
im looking to buy a 60% or a tkl but i’m not sure where to start looking. i currently have a gk61, but its real warn down and tbh i want to start off with something new, i looked into the ducky one 3, but its not in stock till 2022 and my only other idea is to buy an anne pro 2. any suggestions?
where did you get those keycaps and how much
im looking for new keycaps for my keychron k2
i want it to thock
Desolder the switches
Lube
Solder the switches
i got busted multiple times because of the keyboard being too loud
I mean isn’t that a big part of the community?
i got a great deal on a corsair starfe rgb it has been great but one of the rgbs in the keyboard have broke so when i have my keyboard blue it is green but i have tryed to take the keyboard but I can not actually find the rgb connections so what do i do to fix it? (i did get it for £60 and it isnt in stock anywhere) if you have the answer @ me
Your F1 is special now
ikr it is annoying af
Amazon there a clone for $50 want the link?
The worst part of it, behind artisans and flipping
I don't really care about the sound unless it's spring ping or rattle ...
Same here
These sound chasers spend so much money and effort to get ThoCks but never consider topre because it doesn't have clout
Flipping is worst
Artisan community is ass but I enjoy the artisans themselves
Artisan community is just the regular community but worse lmao
Flipping?
Another more polite word for scalping
⬛🍒
damn
They look freaking clean
that would look clean in a tkl or 60% layout 😋
gotchu
Both mx, both cherry boards with original caps
Nice
but goddahm
those are so clean
you could idk
eat off of them (not like you would)
i wear closed back headphones, if i hear my keyboard something would be wrong...
wanted to reply to this
@urban glade wait have you tried Deskey sliders? one of the big things turning me off from Topre is how much I've invested into MX style keycaps

Gonna get a set next week I'll lyk what I think
tyty
sheeeesh. nice Nixie clock

Is the razer huntsman te any good and or worth it
Das a nice keyboard
theres some better alternatives
heres my ||OMG MOM ITS THE GK61|| with shit keycaps
this is my 16 dollar blue switch keyboard
it has low vol for some reaason wait
here is one that as better volume also dont mind the bg sounds lmao
im still working on it just showing my progress
Mizar Mz60 Luna
whats your budget cap?
Idk 30 euro, 35 usd, 28 pounds, please make sure it ships to Ireland

I would want a black and red theme because my setup is black/white/red
Anyway ima go cya
Oh
What's the difference between linear and tactile switches?
linear -> no clicky (like xbox shoulder trigger)
tactile -> more or less clicky, from almost no clicky to like "mouse"-clicky
why is it related to xbox console?
I have never used any xbox consoles before
Linears go straight down
Tactiles have a bump of varying sizes in the way
And clickies are tactiles that make noise
Nope, I use stock caps on my hhkb
Well others might think differently about that
I don’t see how it is the worst part of it
I'm not talking about others tho
I said I don't care ... not others/people don't care
Yeah
If you can't see the problem then you're part of it
my g915 tkl came in the mail 😁
What
A lot of people want their keyboard to sound a specific way, big deal
My GK108 has a very low refresh rate on the RGB animations, is there any way to fix that? I've seen videos of other GK boards with perfectly smooth animations
guys i made a budget 50$ keyboard
and its almost good
only issue is while doing stuff with the hotswap sockets i ripped one out
but other than that its good
F
custom kb or normal kb?
I've been using the System76 Launch for a while and love it.
i dont quite understand
do u only get the keycaps here
or do u get the keyboard
??
Whatchall think of the hyperx alloy origins core
only keycaps
I was really tempted to get the launch ... what do you like on the keyboard that is not easily found on others ? I mean I'll probably get the keychron Q2 when it's released but I still want the know if I'm missing some interesting feature present in the launch
I'm biased so it's tough to be fair.
I love the split space and the software and that it uses QMK
Split space is intriguing
Are you using the USB passthrough ?
i kind of miss having usb passthrough. was pretty useful when i needed it
Hmm ... maybe I'll get the launch too at some point
I've had the mat for a while. I can't find the LTT one in stock lol.
LTT mat is great. Only problem I have is it's so big cleaning it is actually a hassle. When I had smaller ones I just tossed them in the washing machine. I'm not sure how the big ones will take that
how?
give us the parts list
Well... I fell for it and bought the Nuphy... from what I can tell its either a scam or a grossely incompetent support.
I didn't get a receipt, tracking number or any response aside from a discord mod asking me to wait for a response. Requested a refund to Paypal.
the nuphy air75?
Yeah
yes
right so
i got a tecware phantom fullsize
that cost me 10$
used
then i went to microcenter feeling inspired and bought some box blacks
and added them on
because it was a hot swap
and uh
did some mods
and now it sounds good
oh and the switches were 40$
yeah
they have a ton of glorious switches
which sucks
because ive literally never tried a cherry switch
i mean the glorious pandas and glorious lynxes are decent
but the blacks sound really good
but overpriced
yeah i wanna get some for display and maybe to use eventually
i wanna get like mason jars full of switches
better than paying $40 for an artisan that's for sure
(for legal reasons thats a joke)
microcenter doesnt showcase peripherals on store?
go try em next time around then
you will have a taste of bad cherry
good cherry is fine generally speaking
fair
i gotta get a new keyboard though
so i might just buy one that already has cherry switches
been looking at an apex 7
because i like my apex pro
but i dont like the switches
and theres no way im going inside there to poke around
its too light?
yeah
expected
i mean, the main advantage of those is that they are contactless and are super smooth
they are super smooth
saying that, wooting hall effect is better imo
and their board is cheaper while having all the switches being hall effect
oh and also the stabs suck
not like the apex pro where only the alphas are contactless
im gonna swap out the switches anyways
fair
in your opinion what are the coolest looking switches
i wanna get some nice ones for display
nk's big switch series
why does the red one say bump
also what about regular size switches
HMMM
TACTILE REDS?
ah why cherry switches gotta look ugly an cheap
oh wait those are probably orange
idk, it depends on the definition of cool to you
currently i like the akko cs switches
interesting
but i like the milkshake switch
its gonna look like a milkshake in my switch jar
Whats a good budget mechanical keyboard?
tecware phantom
Thanks
RK61 Hot Swap @urban vale
man, old Corsair keyboards have such sucky stabs
even with reds it sounds like i'm typing with a worn out blue on my spacebar
So,I have started school and have been running low on the money side but sinCe my keyboard got RUST on it I decided to make this comment .I am looking for a preferably wireless(2.4ghz) keyboard of size 60%-TKL(I dont need a numpad though I like the function keys.Nevertheless if there is a better keyboard with a smaller size I am willing to go for it).I LOVE linear switches so if possible with those .It dosent have to be hot swappable since I wont mod-it any time soon though if it has it already thats a great plus. My budget is up to 80$.Please use websites like aliexpress, banggood or really any websites with worldwide shipping that dosent break the bank .All feedback-appreciated!
By the looks of it this channel is dead at the momment so ping me if you want to deliver an answer
If you don't mind dealing with trash software, you can get an RK84. It's a 75% (which is a 60% with an F-row and some extra buttons) and comes with a surprising number of features at its price. Not sure how much is it in your area though.
It's has per-key RGB lighting that's programmable right on the board, both 2.4GHz and Bluetooth connectivity, detachable magnetic feet, a detachable bezel so you can have either a high or low-profile look, among other things I may have missed.
alright that looks cool but what about a variant that isnt wireless and is "better"
yo guys i need some new keys right and im kind new to the feels and what not but i had optical gateron blacks on my gk before i got my browns in my womier
so what are some keys that feel like the gat blacks but have quicker actuation
Anyone know which Akko switch sounds good, is linear but not so smooth that accidental clicks happen and also what’s up with those jelly ones?
alrighty thank you, you also know of beast ass stabs? i know durag are good but idk if they are the best
im using the womier k87 if that helsp
have you tried tune the stabs?
im new to this keyboard stuff so no
yea
try do those things first
before thinking of stab replacement
is there a youtube tut or is it simple?

https://drop.com/buy/womier-k66-v2-hotswap-acrylic-rgb-mechanical-keyboard is this keeb good?
yea but personally i would recommend the k87 as its a tkl
link me pls
everytime i buy a god damn keyboard they come out with better versions, like they have yeallows now???????????????
i think buying off banggood is cheaper, not sure tho
im cad so banggood is same price
niiice
it’s 120 for me
can you send a banggood/ali express link I cant find it
seems about the same on bangggood tho, with more options
remove the m. from link if you’re not on mobile
but thats gammakay
k
It has hotswap??
Overpriced
Also I guess original keycaps
maybe but i like them so it was worth it
and yes it was a hot swap
ive got all the other outemu brown switches sitting in a container
i was messing around and i made my brown intoa linear switch lmao
it still actuates and everything
Not very difficult, they are already linear
they are tactile switches
basically just lube the tactile copper plate thingy
wait but is it still tactile
The bump is non existent lol
not for gats
Only cherry browns barely have a tactile bump ... other brand browns are more tactile ...
The kailh brown are quite nice to type on
are akkos any good?
Oh I thought you were talking bout mx browns not gate browns
They are good for a budget switch
oh, any decent mid range switch preferably linear but if you insist i will try a good tactile
im just trying to finish this keybaord right now
i will be gettting durock stabs cuz i tried to ix my pre built stabs and they still suck
Akkos and gaterons are the budget options, I don't know bout midrange cause I'm broke
Check some vids about switches in price ranges
Ktt dose I've heard is a god budget switch
Roae
Rose
Spelling is hard
hmm
i mean
might as well try out akkos then
i dont want to spent like 100+ on swicthes
im gonna try out the radient rose reds from akko
im playing safe with the keycaps, i know they aint the best but i had them on my 60$ and they did the job fine
i just dont want to risk buying caps with shine through
is there a better keyboard for 200 usd or 150gbp than the keychron q1 ?
Better than cherry
The akko switches I've tried were quite good ... one in particular being better than the rest of the switches I have here ...
just get PBT caps
could you send me some nice ones if you are able to?
any specific brands?
what's your price range?
EnjoyPBT 9009 Keyap set is inspired by the Cherry board designed for Reuters. This keycap set features a combination of classic beige with muted, pastel accents. EPBT 9009 Features: PBT Material Dye-Sub 178 Keys Cherry Profile Available in: Base Kit Colverak Kit Includes: 1 EnjoyPBT 9009 Keycap Set

NicePBT BoW
NicePBT Greyscale
any of these are good options
High quality keycaps for your mechanical keyboards. Stock includes high quality, thick PBT. ABS, POM, and other materials coming soon.
here as well
any of those look good?
Yes
i would avoid ePBT because they are thin
but they look good i guess
Geekark is thiccer
best 70 usd keyboard?
there's no best
what are some good ones????
I'm trying to spend less the $150 and want hot swap-able any good recommendations
RK84 can also be wired, as it plugs into its USB-C port.
Also, define "better", because keyboards are almost entirely preferential.
size?
Maybe check keychron offerings ... they might have something you'd like
ignore the to be picked up desk, but man am I glad they still have ps2 ports on modern Motherboards
model m chef kiss
Really any but 75 would be best
65?
Q1 fully built is $170 it’s good but kinda hollow
Its not too hollow anymore they fixed it but modding will still help
Also they dont want 75 anyways
Thanks for the recommendation
Np
Oops I thought they said they want 75
I did say 75
Lol

You said “any but 75” and yo me that means you want anything expect 75
I meant to add a comma
Commas are important, friend
lol,
someone say 75%?
Nice
So, how exactly do I go about cleaning a switch on a board that isn't hot swappable and I don't have soldering equipment? I just bought this new board like two months ago and the A key is already sticking. I took off the cap, and it's the switch itself that's sticking, so I have no clue how to like, clean it. All the guides I can find are either for laptop keyboards, or assume I can just remove the switch and disassemble it for cleaning, which I can't
No
U need to desolder
I swapped switches in my drop CTRL from MX blues to kailh silvers. Every key works fin except for "X" where I had to put the blue back in on that one key for it to work. Any ideas?
check to see if you've bent the 2 contact pins on the switch you pulled out. you can straighten them out with tweezers
yeah checked that
I think the socket on x is ever so slightly wonky
I got it work just now by placing the key in top first and clicking it in place to the bottom if that make sense
Not exactly had the most stellar experience with this keyboard to be honest
Same, reading is hard
Yeah I got it for a fair price so I can’t complain too much but yeah I certainly don’t recommend them
love the color scheme
Cheers 😊
had a CTRL of my own
ooo I like the wood finish
ultimately sold it because I wanted more out of my boards
was the rest comforatable?
I'm using a glorious padded one atm
wood is surprisingly comfy
Tempting!
Was planning on building a second board for work...
Have to add it to my list of things haha
will say tho, an aluminum wrist rest feels so nice
I didn't know they existed!
(this is my buddy's Vega wrist rest that they ran a gb for last month)
daaaaaaang
Does anyone here know what the scanning rate of the Epomaker Gk108 is? I know that the polling rate is 1000Hz
can anyone help me with choosing a keyboard/mouse for my setup
Yes, what do you want?
whats a good mechanical keyboard that would be fully customizable?
Wdym by "fully customizable"?
as in, customizable switches, key caps, ect
I guess you mean hotswap, and you can switch the keycaps in every keyboard, there is a lot of stuff, what do you wnat
?
keychron q1
i can help if you want :)
Gmmk, gmmk pro, gk61, lots of keychron, most if it all royal kludge now
Yeah
Not a really good question to ask because there's hundreds of options ranging from like $20 all the way to the thousands.
should i get a hyperx keyboard to match my mouse or do i go for a logitech one?
Whichever you like, unless there are some benefits of sticking with the ecosystem.
i just want it to last long and match each other
anyone know how to set up a macro to change screen brightness for anne pro 2?
hey may i get some sugestions on the logitech g915, i want to buy the tkl version but i cant decide between tactile and linear
my K10 is supposed to be delivered any minute now. Cccant wait
Best linear switch?
also what's a good ISO 60% PCB that will fit in a tofu60
Tofu60 walnut
Dz60 foam in there too
friends, I just killed my keyboard with an ESD
I touched it, felt a discharge and the numlock light went out
reconnected it, it's dead

oh, it's working again
I need to decide between the razer Huntsman Mini which is disgustingly expensive and like a cooler master sk620, 630 or 650. I'm not sure if I'm a fan of the low profile but the price is great.
ducky ?
Nope unfortunatly not
There is also corsair k65 and glorious gmmk
keychron q1 ?
they said they will restock this month
probably the best keyboard for the price
I'd say the smaller ones are better for me. There is only the keychron k4
q2 is coming out
I really like the razer Huntsman and people say the build quality is great.
Oh ok. They also is the keychron c2 and I believe the whole k line
Ok I'll definetly check out the gmmk more thanks for the help.
Why don't you use the default way to do it ?
Currently using the laptop's keys but I am getting a PC and the Anne Pro 2 will be my main keyboard
Do you already have the anne pro 2 ?
yes
Oh ...
I'm getting a Q2 when it comes out
what?
Well there's the fn key with either the arrow key or + and - you can try ... there's probably a manual for it online
If you didn't have it I would have said to get something else ... but since you have it use it until it dies
there's a lot of mods you can do with the anne pro 2
wait
do you think i am talking about keyboard light?
I am talking about SCREEN brightness
I am not technologically illiterate
I wont ask about something in the manual
That I can't know ... there's a lot of people just asking without even searching if there's a manual
Or a software for the keyboard
Someone mentioned using AHK
They gave a screenshot but didn't add much details
Any idea how to make this work?
Never used that
But that seems to be quite interesting
But I don't know how it works ... sorry
I'm pretty sure someone here knows how to tho
If you’re on windows, use Microsoft powertoys to make macros
I tested out AHK, but it doesnt seem to recognize the anne pro 2
Only the laptop keyboard
will this work with the anne?
well
this is embarassing
The AHK script worked fine
I just mistook ctrl+d for shift+d
lol
ok managed to get brightness adjustment to work
I found a AHK script online which uses f6 for down, f7 for 50%, and f8 for brightness up
now will bind a macro to run that script and it should be done
Turns out the gmmk I was talking about doesn't come with keycaps or switches so I'll stick with the razor Huntsman Mini Bc the k65 got bad reviews and is a little more expensive.
The one they offer is sold separately...
Then get the complete version of the gmmk ... or get good switches and some random keycaps
im using a keychron q1 with a razer wrist rest right now and it sounds super clean when the wrist rest isnt in contact with the keyboard
however when the wrist rest does come in contact it no longer sounds clean
is there a way i can isolate it from the keyboard
moving it a few milimeters away doesnt work because it just shifts back after some time
just don't use a wristrest
it's bad for your hands anyways
yes, use columar ortho

cant i use it for gaming and i need it
I just got my custom mech and already want to build another one
you dont need it actually
Most people who don't know proper technique rest their wrist on the desk and type upwards at an angle. That's bad and causes pain. Thus was invented the wrist rest, to alleviate such pain. However, the wrist rest is still lower compared to proper typing technique. If you do it right, your forearm and wrist should be straight and form a single line. Anything that raises or lowers your wrist is generally bad. So while it's better then not using one, you're better off just learning proper technique. In general, this means not bending your wrist and hovering over the keyboard without touching your wrist on anything.
ok, merpt
It's not worth it price wise here. i's like a third of the price more just for the key caps. Also they don't sell the complete version.
im a hunt and poke professional, 140wpm monkeytyper with improper and very exhausting technique 😎
lets GOOOOOOOOO
my first score above 150 (yes its 15s but its still an accomplishment for me)
nice
Go to customize and you can get a complete version
Or get a keychron
Hello, I dropped some water in my keyboard a week ago, and my A,S,W,D is sticky and delayed my D shifts Left when pressing slightly and take 2-3 presses to active D.
Dude I meant it when I said that I'm from South Africa.
must have missed that part then
I mean to put a comma after 'that'. 🤣 I meant it when I said there are no other peoper keyboards available for the price. And the gmmk isn't available currently.
Hey guys, what's a good budget keyboard that has rgb and is below $40
do you REALLY need RGB?
I prefer rgb, but moreso, I want a backlit keyboard
define good ... cause for that price there's not much ...
yea
probably a redragon k552 or k551
maybe keychron if you want to put more money into it
good as in, it's made of decent quality and isn't exactly a piece of crap
a lot of keyboards should have low latency
you'll have to put more money than 40$
idk what to choose
Ive never had a mechanical keyboard before
look into getting something hotswappable
so you can try different switches without paying for a new keyboard or soldering
ATM I like hyperx elite alloy 2
well maybe redragon k552 ... be sure to get the rgb version and not the rainbow version ... should be about that price ... @tawdry tusk
keychron has pretty good keyboards
only problem is if you buy from their website you pay for a shipping fee which is like $20
amazon has keychron boards tho
what's the difference?
one has rgb led's and the other just has a bunch of differently colored leds im assuming
theyre all out of stock lol
and they look boring too
Get some nice keycaps to make it yours
sounds expensive
True
get your keycaps on amazon then
is it possible to shrink a full size keyboard to 60%?
What do you mean ?
Cut the other 40% of the keyboard with a table saw
I guess yeah, but you wouldn’t be able to put it back
Hey guys, I play FPS and MOBA games and I have no experience with linear switches, been using cherry mx blue for 6 years. I now looking to choose between cherry mx silver and red, can anyone give me any suggestion? Thanks!
bty what were you going to recommend. Thinking of buying another m. keyboard as a gift
red
actually
go gateron red
or gateron yellow
ok!
im sad its sold out. id use it for macros probably
Today we build the smallest keyboard I have ever seen. An Ortho 20% keyboard that known as the butter stick. Let's see if this thing is actually usable or if it's just a meme.

Rk61
Gmmk 60%
Keychron whichever comes in the format you want
why each instead of the anne pro 2?
They are all better in built quality and lighting and they are hotswappable
Which make changing the switches really easier either to try some other or repair it
note that the person who I am buying this for likes how "pretty" my keyboard looks. So here I am looking for looks over functionality. They wont care about programming or mapping keys. Mostly using it as a good looking regular keyboard.
@unkempt dome
they also wont ever care about changing switches etc
So it doesnt matter if they are hotswappable
Well the keycaps are really not that good on the anne pro 2 and lighting is not even across the board
It will matter when a stabilizer breaks
You have to desolder the switches to fix it ... and it happened to mine and I've read it's not uncommon
What do you mean about the light?
the light is over the entire board (the rainbow also moves)
Look at all the long key keycaps ... it's not even specially on he enter, tab, caps lock, shift
The shine through is really not that good compared to the snowfox
Well anyway that's my preference tho
You ready have it and should keep using it until it dies
Also I know that back in the days there were a lot of cases available to that keyboard
Is the GK61 low in the middle? Looking at amazon photo
Which makes it good for customization of the look and sound
I've never used the gk61 but I wanted to get it to try it ... so i don't know if it's low in the middle
Others that tried it will be able to say for sure
Are the snowfox/shadow the same keyboard but different colours? Snowfox being white and shadow being black?
Exactly
WHO buys a white KEYBOARD? doesnt it just get dirty looking?
Also now they are 5 pin switches compatible... mine isn't and I'm a bit sad about it
If you wash your hand after eating no they don't get that much dirty
I have a white one
I don't know really ... I've never tried the gk61 ... only heard about it
Haven't compared them
which one do you think I should go for? You recommended them both
Well I really wanted to get the gk61 in the first place
But then I think the gk 64 is nicer
Cause of dedicated arrow
it looks much uglier
And optional split spacebar
Yes it's not as cute indeed
Well personally I'm going for the keychron Q2 when it releases
How about the Durgod HK Venus?
it's not bad but I've heard some weird things about it sounding not that great if you care about that ... and some have reported some qc issue on some unit ... but for the most part reviews I've seen are quite good
I have a durgod fusion and it's a solid board
Also the k320 is quite solid
You could check out varmilo offering too
And leopold ...
Its light looks great
this compares the anne pro 2 (top) with it
Those are premium
not RGB
Yes there's rgb version of it
Yes the shinethrough is really better than the anne pro 2
Well I think
The fusion doesn't have rgb
Ill just stick with the AP2 for now. And will get the kemove shadow as a gift.
There is black, brown, blue, yellow, red, and silver switch options
Which are nicer for typing?
something that is not as sensitive as red
Or do you like clicky ?
What the person is used to ?
laptop keyboard
Oh damn
wait, red switches are linear?
you telling me this counts as a QUITE keyboard?
https://switchandclick.com/linear-vs-tactile-vs-clicky-switches-a-helpful-guide-with-an-infographic/
Well silver, red, yellow and black are all linear and are from lighter to heavier
Brown are about tactile (cherry brown have a really low tactility)
Blue are clicky with tactile bump
Quiet as less loud than a clicky ... not quiet as it barely makes sound
between yellow and black which is less sensitive?
For really quiet you need to go with silent red or other silent switches that had rubber dampers inside them
Black ... they have a heavier spring
When lubed I've heard they are quite good
compared to blue how are they?
black and blue actuate with the same force but blacks need more force to bottom out
"bottom out"?
bottom out means fully pressed, no more travel
Also black doesn't make a click sound like the blue does
Cause black are not clicky
Which switches you have in the anne pro 2?
Black will feel about the same but with more force to push them down
I have an extremely rattly spacebar on my drop alt, what steps should I take to fix this?
Would it be better to mod the existing ones, or just replace them with nice ones?
anyone recommendations for a mouse ?
What's your budget looking like?
I'd reccomend the Viper Ultimate, or the g pro is also a amazing mouse
My brother and dad each have one of those, I've used it a decent bit
It's a great and comfortable mouse
quite heavy tho, but it's totally capable of gaming
np, I hope you enjoy it!
wtb keyboard:
wireless, mx brown (or similar), managed rgb when wireless, USB C connection. TKL ideally or full size.
The only one I know of right now is the Asus Rog Claymore II, which is extremely expensive.
Keychron K8 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard. Tenkeyless Layout. Wireless or Wired. and users can hot swap every switch in seconds with the hot-swappable version. Compatible with Mac, Windows, iOS, Android, Linux. Keychron Optical or Gateron Switches. Connect up to 3 devices. 15+ RGB Backlight
I love keychron, it's awesome. RGB isn't manageable, otherwise I'd have one already
I have a tkl low profile keychron and love it
I've heard good things abt them too
I recently just got a Z20 for 65$ tho
first mechanical keeb too woot
hmm i guess i didnt know what you meant by managed lol
viper ultimate 8k is like 40 usd rn
yeah needs to be part of my absolutely ridiculous RGB scene
id replace them with durock v2s
are the everglade pandas any good?
yes
yw lol
Whatchall think about red switches hyperx alloy origins core
Best white wireless mouse under £80 not from logitech
Glorious model O maybe ... or razer orochi maybe ...
there's no best mouse anyway
model o is awful not going back to that and orochi has a very awkward shape
Well find one that has a shape you like and call it a day
but what if its awful
The shape is the most important thing in a mouse
Besides that if you buy a mouse that has general good reviews from reputable reviewers it will be good enough for 95% of the people ... the shape just has to be good for you
Also you can just return it ... or buy it used if you don't want to pay too high price and resell it if you don't like it
Check if the viper is available in white ... I'm not sure about it, but there's a wireless version of it
my dad wont let me go used
viper ultimate
im not going wired
I know but I'm not sure if it's available in white
so Mo and RV are non existent
Then get that one maybe ... but be aware that the software is awful
Also there the steelseries aerox
The SteelSeries Aerox 3 Wireless 2022 mouse has an ultra lightweight 68g design perfectly optimized for super light mouse swipes. A 200 hour battery life with fast charging ensures stress-free dual wireless with a TrueMove Air sensor, silky smooth 100% Virgin Grade PTFE glide skates for enhanced ...
there's not much choice for white wireless mouse that's not logitech and not the model O
Looking for a good mechanical keyboard with a num pad for <£100. (Don't want to build my own)
Currently have blue switches and like the feel of them but they're too loud at night so want some a bit quieter and I'm unsure which one's to get.
Suggestions appreciated! ❤️
tag me if you have a suggestion/question
if you can stretch your budget a little bit, i strongly recommend filco boards
i love mine (though mine is the version without a numpad)
you can also look on ebay for them used, should definitely fit in budget then
i got this one for less than £50
I dont necessarily need a number pad tbh, I guess it's just more keys to assign in games. Typing i assume feels a bit different due to the size of a full keyboard
It looks cool
i have a friend who's used both and he said they're very similar
though both me and him prefer to take the mounting screws out of the baord
and lay down a couple layers of shelf liner
so the assembly bounces a little bit on that while you type
the site i linked is a great uk store anyway to look through various boards
np!
Anyone have experience with the EVGA Z15 mechanical keyboard, I had found a cyber Monday deal and ordered one for only $41
My spacebar ticks weirdly on the upstroke when I press it on the left side (also it has got some give on the left side before the switch is actually actuated), what could be the cause for this?
I already tried another spacebar, same results
(The same spacebar in white)
A third spacebar actually got stuck on the left side
Talking about spacebar keycaps in that case
clean
ty
Right, so I got 2 questions.
1 - How much of a mistake would it be to paint my Logitech K120?
1a - If it's not a mistake, what kind of paint should I use?
2 - My keycaps and keyboard frame get very dirty due to all the grease in my hands, I don't know what exactly causes it but how can I fix it? (see attachment for pics)
I have it in pink, and I've been really happy with it so far, but something to mention is that the charging dock is kind of mediocre. It doesn't always charge when you put it on, and you may have to nudge it a bit
For 2. I think just a diluted alchohol of some sort would do a good job of takin all that grease off, you'd just want to remove them all and let them dry for a bit afterwords
Remove the keycaps and clean them with soft dishwashing soap and let them dry
For the case you can use isopropyl alcohol
But taking apart the whole keyboard would be the best option about cleaning the top
I built my friend a budget custom a few days ago and been using it for a few days and now I want to build one for myself too ffs
like this cost like 110€ but is so much nicer than my 190€ varmilo
Is this worth it? Or is there better keyabords for the price or around it?
it's good ... how much is the Q1 for you ... might want that one instead
This?
Yes ...
Supposed to be a big step up compared to the other ... well I hope it is for the price tag of it
Do you know any other keyboard from any brands that are good for around 80 USD?
G910 is around that rn
people either love them or hate them tho but i plan on getting another one when this one dies in however long it takes
Gmmk
Check Leopold, durgod and varmilo offering ...
The rest of gaming brand don't even bother with those
Thanks for the help guys but i would prefer a 60% or 65% keyboard
Software is supposed to be meh for royal kludge
But the keyboard is decent
I don't know mizar
yeah and the rk61 is wireless
which i would prefer
Do you guys think wireless would have a slight delay?
Bluetooth yes for sure
2.4ghz dongle ... probably but not that much
Check out the durgod fusion too ... and the kemove snowfox
Wireless can also be used wired
the KEMOVE Snowfox looks good
what is it
Snowfox is good
this also looks good https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=3545
Sorry could I just ask whats bad about this keyboard? https://www.keychron.com/collections/keyboard/products/keychron-k6-non-backlight-wireless-mechanical-keyboard?variant=39431214858329
Keychron K6 Non-Backlight Compact Wireless Mechanical Keyboard. 65% Layout. Wireless or Wired. Users can hot-swap every switch in seconds with the hot-swappable version. Compatible with Mac, Windows, iOS, Android, Linux. Optical or Gateron Switches. Connect up to 3 devices.
Leopold is one of the better prebuild brand according to a lot of people
i dont think theres anything wrong with it
just no backlight
ahh
From what I've heard the k6 is a bit lower quality build than let's say the Leopold... but if it doesn't better you the you should go for it
No backlight is not an issue for me ... if it's not for you too then go for it
if you have the money get the frame tho
on amazon they also sell the same model
if you dont wanna pay for shipping
Keychron K6 68-Keys Hot-Swappable Wireless Mechanical Keyboard for Mac, 65% Compact, Bluetooth, Aluminum Frame, Wired Gaming Keyboard for Windows Non-Backlit with Keychron Red Switch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B095YBF5YV/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_P2W183ETJ77VZDP43FHT
by how much?
for shipping?
yea
but shipping to new zealand
probably why it costs so much
might be better to order from keychron
for your region it might be more or less
dang
Whats your budget?
shipping to the US is free but not sure about your region
it is yea
Also are the switches lubed?
Thanks
just to check is it better then the https://www.keychron.com/collections/keyboard/products/keychron-k6-non-backlight-wireless-mechanical-keyboard
Keychron K6 Non-Backlight Compact Wireless Mechanical Keyboard. 65% Layout. Wireless or Wired. Users can hot-swap every switch in seconds with the hot-swappable version. Compatible with Mac, Windows, iOS, Android, Linux. Optical or Gateron Switches. Connect up to 3 devices.
have you checked shipping costs for the Akko keyboard?
just comparing the prices
Akko 3068: https://bit.ly/2VuSsqF (8%off coupon code:2d90b9)
Keyboard accessories: https://bit.ly/2OVuIcF
Today we review the interesting Akko 3068. A wireless 65% keyboard, that looks very similar to the TADA68.

Hi this is isn’t a keyboard related thing but I recently got the g915 tkl and I’m looking at new mice, is the Logitech g pro x superlight worth it?
personally, I don't think it would ever be worth it simply because of the price. Many other mouse's have the same features and weight while being relatively cheaper
Finished lubing a bunch of switches just waiting for the keyboard to arrive
I've cleaned it multiple times, it just builds up again over time
What do you guys think about the cooler master sk620 or sk622
are akko keyboards good for their money?
well yes and it will always unless you were glove while typing
just wash your hands before using the keyboard and it should be better ...
I've heard that they are yes ... I've never tried their keyboad, but I know some of their switches are quite good ...
well I guess I will invest in their one piece one
mouse....I actually dont know if I am gonna get it.Apperantly it isnt hot swap
I am probably not going to upgrade it anyway but idk if the there is stabs foam
no idea about it
https://en.akkogear.com/product/acr-87-keyboard-bundle-mechanical-keyboard/ I think this is worth more than the luffy one
looks nice
I wash my hands at least 35 times a day
gk61 also
best wireless mouse for fps? viper ultimate, logitech g pro , model d or g502(got the wired version rn). What do i need to look for, i noticed the viper has optical switches not sure if its bad
g pro x superlight
^^
Hi, I'm in desperate search for a good tkl mechanical keyboard around 50€, I never owned a mechanical keyboard before, I just tried yesterday at an event a good sharkoon(out of budget) one with reds or similar.
Another big need is that it has the big enter key and "<"">" placed in the left side of the keyb
Their keycaps are pretty good
Not sure if there's a keyboard with <> placed on the left side of the keyboard that costs $50
