you want to use a 1u backspace?
hi
wich response time is lower Razer BlackWidow TE Chroma v2 TKL Tenkeyless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard: Green Key Switches, Tactile & Clicky, Chroma RGB Lighting, Magnetic Wrist Rest, Programmable Macros, Classic Black OR apex 5 ???????
ibm at model f
neither
any gain in switch latency is going to be deleted by your network's latency to the server
Wich KeyBord is better????
ty
I don't care about that ... I mostly never use backspace
wow you must be a god
I mostly use delete
Razer BlackWidow TE Chroma v2 TKL Tenkeyless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard: Orange Key Switches, Tactile & Silent, Chroma RGB Lighting, Magnetic Wrist Rest, Programmable Macros, Classic Black
in green switches do you think its good?????
overpriced and loud but decent quality
CU65 with Boba U4Ts
Lily58 with durock L7 78g
anyone know a good hot swappable TKL with RGB that is preferably 5-pin
RK84
That's the only one I've personally tried but it good
also its ugly
Are there replacement PCBs for already used keyboard designs? I got an old fashioned Dell keyboard that feels awesome ergonomically but the membranes are awful.
like what?
Maybe one day I like white, and another day purple, and another a mix of blue and cyan.
just dont get leds
u cant see them in bright daylight anyway and the keycaps are scuffed
60% ok?
id go kemove snowfox or shadow
wait until i get mine and ill review it
i need to do tat with my moms dell then
like really need to
that would be fun
best tkl under £150
so basically I have a razer huntsman mini which has stabilisers in the keycap
are there keycaps that also have this?
Idk
Idk
Then dont answer '_'
Never
nope, 60% doesnt work for me because i do video editing and also game
Wired I’m assuming? Cause I can recommend the g815 it’s the wired version of the g915 (and it’s cheaper)
Have you tried 65 percent? It has arrow keys and some extra buttons compared to a 60 percent
Im not the person who adked -/'
Oh I thought since you replied it was you
nah, tkl is my favorite layout and i would prefer to stick to that
Wired I’m assuming? Cause I can recommend the g815 it’s the wired version of the g915 (and it’s cheaper) it’s 163 euros
i think its fine
yeah
i just never looked into it that much
alright ill look into them :)

A friend of mine just spilled milk all over his HyperX Alloy FPS Pro keyboard and now some keys do not work properly (ex. when he presses "e" "d" triggers as well). What's the best course of action?
are the keys hotswappable?
no
hm
likely a short somewhere
Yeah probably
best coarse of action would probably be to open it up to make sure it's dry, and possibly clean with isopropyl
course*
see if there's residual gunk in there
ok I'll let him know and report back once that's done thanks
My windows and alt key just switched purpuses on my rk61. I never opened the software neither did I spill anything on it. Why could this be?
you hit a hotkey
you still have the manual?
Finally a keyboard channel. It has been long since I have visited this server
Much better Rubber Dome keyboards exist tho
Like BTC slider with dome, Scorpius and Topre
It's just a crappy rubber dome keyboard with a click leaf.
It's a novelty not a feel thing
The contactless switches are much better
Eh, I have one and it has an actual mech switch that just flattens out a rubber dome below it
So it does actually feel mechanical
AA it's a dome with slider.
I remember it being like a Ornata
Nvm I figured it out I had to reset it. thx for trying to help tho
I don't see a problem either way, it feels great ¯_(ツ)_/¯
imo
Yeah probably, I like good quality rubber dome keyboards like Topre and BTC dome with slider
mhm
Buckling spring looks good af
2KRO tho
Got this wireless thing today
surprisingly the linear switches are actually quite nice
nice
Honestly hoping you enjoy the fuck out of them.

oh god Louis lmao
Discord shows tiny thumbnails of your emotes and I had no idea he was topless lmao
But ye
Me too,I'm buying one
yea only had it for like 30 minutes but loving it so far lol
the dampened yellow switches feel amazing
but thats probably because ive been using a 40 dollar amazon keyboard for past few years
typing on bke domes atm 😮
i know these arent in stock but what do you guys think about these caps?
https://drop.com/buy/drop-oblotzky-gmk-oblivion-v2-custom-keycap-set
i like the design
he said there's going to be a v3 at some point
@potent void
oblivion is kinda old as far as gmk sets go
afaik r1 was sometime in 2017
They are double-shot ABS so there is always the worry of getting a shine on them even though the legends are good for life... I am more of a PBT person... And some ABS can be quite thin and give a different clack. It is really a matter of what your style is and for that you need to try some. They look very nice aesthetically.

yoooooooooooo
yooooooooooooo
Waited 3 months for this
which batch are you on?
flex?
Nice. You got your keycaps and switches?
Yep
yeee
cool
let see if the pc plate is manufactured correctly]
Yeah lol
I have durocks stabs here
Durock stabs go in tight man
hopefully you do end up being happy with that :)
Same
Probably last you for a while for $190 for those two.
Hopefully someone finds a way to make it sound just a bit deeper.
If I can't get that sweet, Hagaromo-Fulltouch-on-a-freshly-cleaned-chalkboard sound like you can from a Vega, I'd love to get close.
Also that
i hope so too
'
my keyboard is corsair k100 opx
Yeah ?
how do i build corsair K100 like keyboard without G macro keys on the left side?
is macro keys 110% then ?
XD
I dont
i want this exactly but with different switches without macro keys
I mean looks nice, minimalistic
doesnt have macro keys
then yea standard 100%
k100 is a battle cruiser board
no
whats your budget?
my budget is 70-100
idk how much building a keyboard costs XD
I wish corsair made a keyboard designed only for me
😭
https://kono.store/products/hexgears-impulse-mechanical-keyboard
theres this one
The Impulse RGB gaming keyboard showcases hot-swappable switches, delectable full RGB lighting, and special shine-through pudding keycaps. Available in BOX Brown (Tactile) and BOX White (Clicky) hot-swap switch sockets The Impulse now features hot-swap sockets! Change mechanical switches with no soldering required! Ma
and it has hotswap sockets
im using a corsair keyboard at the moment
beacause I like everything about K100, but the only 2 things bothering me is switches are too light, and macro keys ia dont use
I've seen a lot of keyboards on drop
although idk why they cost so much
personally, i like normal cherry switches (except blues) BUT i would rather have boards with switches like nkcreams, gat yellows, all those types of switches.
for their price the value is pretty meh for most drop boards except for the alt imo
custom mk
tho leopold topres running on the 300 as well iirc
topres 🤤
niz plums is a more affordable way for topre style electrocapacitive switches
I Will can't get used to gateron yellow ... will try to use them over the week end
Hopefully I will be accustomed by Sunday...
used fc660cs usually under 200
they like 230 new
niz domes aren't really close to topre imo
I missed the v2 of the niz custom :c
fc980c is pretty nice too
264 new
I think I use my niz with BKEs more than my topre
i like both, but I like how aggressive bke domes are just a little more lol
looking to replace my box whites with something a tad more similar to a mix of the actuation of a red but clickyness of a blue, any switch ideas?
Just need the switches
a clicky linear? idk if thats a thing
so you want it to sound rattly?
click bars are the best clicky switch on the market
the ones you can get brand new anyway
if you want that you can just buy some mx blues and put a light spring in them
or try outemu phoneix
You mean the tactility or the sound of the blue?
No, that much, you can buy Holy pandas
They aren't clicky though.
Just tactile.
tangerin c3
where the hell are you looking for the price?
Aliexpress
bruh its just .65 per switch from 1upkeyboards
Those are linears.
ok
The man wanted a clicky switch, unless he clarifies.
So you need clicky I guess
Not me, but the dude who asked.
https://flashquark.com/product/outemu-phoenix-switches-pack-of-50/
or 32.99 for 50 from flashquark
also
holy pandas imo are over rated
Is there any hell we can try them even here in Vietnam
he wants a clicky with the weight of a red
Tactility of blue but actuation force of a red
a red spring isnt going return with a phoenix stem
And you want to retain the clicky sound?
No the actual click of the switch not the sound
the tactility/click feeling but with actuation force of a red
they feel just like blue
oh God no not mx browns
How can you ask like that
?
If it's clicky, it should be heavy, if it's linear, it's opposite
You mean the browns??
wha
no
Clicky switches can feel light.
So give @robust arrow the answer pls
Yeah clicky switches can feel light
So you want something with a larger tactile bump?
Yes
Durock T1, maybe.
Huge but round bump near the top of the switch.
Halo Clear for something large but more gradual.
Are those around 50g for operating
So search for it
It's around ~63g
I'll have to check those out looks promising
lmao
Looking for something either lighter or the same as my box whites
I see.
Not a big fan of the super heavy switches
White's are like
45g actuation, 50g bottom-out.
Not sure if there's a tactile that light.
I said that
akko cs ocean blue?
the tactility is pretty medium iirc
At least I'm helping.
The Ocean Blue?
they are pretty popular here in asia
think about it like ducky in some way
tho the switches are made by ktt
https://epomaker.com/products/akko-cs-switch
also buying from here is much cheaper
What is AKKO Custom Series (CS) This series is the newly designed switches for customers who have specific needs. Different from traditional switches, AKKO CS has made some improvements based on customer’s experience. It contains distinct features. Unlike AKKO V2 switches, CS switches feature a spiral spring design. We
It's so cheap I might have to buy some, not even that much of a loss if I don't like them
Thanks for the help guys. @ionic briar @pallid trout
np
I kinda wanna cop >_>
135 bux for an alu arisu clone seems pretty baller
in pink
mga standard is a lot more money 😛
and no arrow keys
isn't so pingy with sorbithane
but also I can't open my current wings coz the sorbithane has stuck the bottom piece to the pcb lolol
coz I removed the acrylic midlayer since it like, doesn't do much of anything

but yeah, def fixed the sound
MGA standard is almost 300 dollars with pcb and plate, too much for a fun build xP
switch couture clone is not your thing right?
naw i want the arrow cluster
and I do actually prefer the macro pad on the right side too, arisu style
cheap stuff again
do they have clicky
nope unfortunately
2 linears 1 tactile
Kailh speed Copper I think are about that light
Those are not that good of a switch tho, but they are still decent.
Well it seems the searching have come to an end ... sorry to have ping you
hmmm guess i could do with tactile
1 sec let me just test my keyboard
1234567890-=qwertyuiop[]asdfghjkl;'#zxcvbnm,./
👍
Has anyone tried gateron silent ink blacks and do you reccomend them?
Youtube has the answers
hey hey
yo im doin a contest thing send me pics of your keyboards ill be building someone a brand new keyboard in july
why are my keys so wobbly
also how do you snip stabilizers
also why do you snip stabilizers
You snip them so the little fangs at the bottom don't hit the bottom housing.
This drastically increases the point of contact, deepening the sound.
Some stabs, like Durock stabs, don't have these little legs.
does it matter if i have mx blues
It'll help with the sound and it's not hard to do so why not?
clipping only works with plate mounted stabs. rt?
mostly stablaizers
i also need to get o rings and padding foam
it pings when i hit a key
aliexpress has em for a dollar shipping included so y not
i have pretty standard keycaps
foam?
no, do you have foam?
you put toweletts inside your keyboard?
gateron blues mech
yea i think opticals are softer rt?
ooh nice, the snowfox came? send pix
thanks for ur advice btw cartoon
no prob happy to help
i dont like the blue switches in my keyboard so i might swap them with some reds in this other one i have
yeah so imma have to solder
depends if u get hotswap then no
leg
noooo
oh u got 60% noic
yea
sounds so nice
already better at typing
want a sound test from an arctis 5 mic?
i was just abt to ask that lol
ok just a sec
This is what I use at the moment
actually iphone 7 plus mic
This is my main keeb
i go to two different houses and the corsair one is my mom's house keyboard and the keychron is my dad's house keyboard
CRAP SRY
kinda bad but
oooohhh crap too close to the keyboard
but there you go
i need to wash my hands before my keyboard is too greasy
what keeb is that
this corsair one uses cherries
my keychron k2 uses gat blues
cream cheese and crackers or an apple?
i like the cherry reds more
first one sounds good
have you had them before?
probably
They are tasty
Lmao I have my keyboard in the kitchen just because its bluetooth
On my phone
On moble rn ill check later
Does what?
Heheheh join bad speeling club
Thanks its supposed to put the anne pro 2 to shame
through a fifine k699b
Imma just have some cookies
hear the subtle ping in mine?
yd you download it doesnt discord have a play option
It is
really? because 500 dollar blue kbs sound totally different
Well duh
mine was like 80 bucks
They are 500 bucks’
yes but they use the same damned switches how tf
aahhhh good point good point
mine has a metal plate on top and the bottom housing is abs i think
Even just the keycaps
but still tho gat blues are worth at most 200 dollars even in the best casing and stuff
500 too muh for a kb
u can get a decent gaming tower for 500 if u willing to settle for a 1660 and to cut some corners
optical?
Imma brb gotta clean
shure take ur time
ooh is it gonna have that cool looking detachable rolled up cable
with the xlr looking connector
Dont u hate it when you have a pie plate on ur desk and a lot of packaging things from ur kb
you had pie? all i had was bread and cottage cheese in indian gravy
Old pie from a week ago
yeah
what is it still doing on ur desk lol are you like a teenager or sumn
This keyboard sounds even better in a echo-y stairwell
lmao i do that all the time too but never for a week lol my parents usually just take it and go
cloth?
Yes
dry overnight
ooh bruh cloth is the worst mine gets dirty all the time
idk planning to get an ltt deskpad from lttstore.com
the biggest one they make
My atrotious desk
Wait until linus bruh mat
Yes I have the racing wheel
Yes I didnt pay for it
i would say mine doesnt look as dirty but its just because im poor and dont have enuf stuff
the comp?
lmao i got 60 bucks for my bday and im 16
yes whered u get the dual monitors
ur uncle gifts you pcs? wow western ppl
sayme
And he just got a 3070 and he had a lot of spare parts
once i worked for the govt for 650 dollars
we have fake grass
like a honda 4trax
U GOT A 4X4?
mabye
dads friend gave it to him
and he gave it to me
it dosent run yet
we gonna clean the carb
and see if it runs
nice
because my dad bought another one
do outemu switches have kailh style housings? and can you open them with a kailh or cherry switch opener
idk srry
amazing.
i think so tho
yea im pretty shure
outemu is an exact replica of cherry
just like gat
most of em has the winglatch approach tho gazzew switches are using the traditional 4 pin cherry prongs iirc
can i ask what's the difference between 3 pin and 5 pin?
i don't really understand
the extra 2 plastic pings is to help with switch stability if youre doing a plate less build
ah ic
ie the switch is only secured by being soldered onto the pcb / plug into the hotswap socket
so if i made a keyboard with a alu plate, it wouldn't matter as much?
yea
ah ic thanks very much
Keebwerk Tacit. V2
alright, danke
hey, can you just snip off 2 pins to make a 5 pin switch fit in a 3 pin socket
no no
cut off the plastic pins
not the bronze pins
oohhh nvm nvm my bad
anyone know where i can get some ks-3 gateron yellows? all i keep finding on aliexpress and banggood are the milky top and black bottom versions of the switch and i just want the fully black version
Best variation of this linear switch. They greatly benefit from films and are by far the smoothest Gateron switches/housings aside from Inks v1. A very well priced but often hard to get hold of switch. A linear switch weighted in between reds and blacks, and are well loved due to the spring and feel, especially once lu
oh god theyre individually priced?
but anyway thanks
yea
also is that preview statement on the link even true? i'm mostly only buying for the sound and look but i didnt know they were the smoothest gat yellows around
they are the smoothest
huh, cool
man i need a new desk and chair to benefit for typing
desk too tall and chair too short
its a magnet switch
500billion actuations of something crazy like that
no, i know what it is, im asking if you can swap em
idk look it up
No
why would you need to swapp them
idk if topics can be very detailed here but i want some input on braided cable making and coiling, its very easy and i have everything except for the sleeve and techflex thing and the heat shrink
so i have a couple questuons,
-is it cheaper than buying it ready and coiled?
-is there a techflex alternative?
-is this a good sleeve? https://www.amazon.sa/-/en/Pepperell-Parachute-Cord-21-Feet-Black/dp/B00D6JQE5M/ref=sr_1_13?dchild=1&keywords=paracord&qid=1622807600&sr=8-13
-is there a shorter/cheaper option of this heatshrink? https://www.amazon.sa/-/en/New-Lon0167-Diameter-Featured-Ratio/dp/B0842K9XS2/ref=sr_1_58?dchild=1&keywords=heat+shrink&qid=1622808176&sr=8-58
im open to any suggestions, thanks
also if there are any recommendations its much better to keep the region the same either .sa or .ae for amazon to avoid shipment and import expenses, thanks
technically you can if the actuation mechanism is on the pcb and not on the switch
but again you will have the same exact switch to do so
what?
is that a joke?
Is the K780 gud for productivity?
any keyboard is good for productivity if you can do stuff fast and efficient with it
Hmm ok
its a matter of getting used to the keyboard
they are on the same selling price?
But I don't game
Um kind of but k780 had some crazy sale so I bought it
16 dollars cheaper than original price lol
you mean the logitech k780?
hmmm
i would not comment on anything since i have no idea whats the build quality of the k780
since you have bought it, enjoy it
Hm ok
Yea I will
But this time, custom is holding every single package I ordered too long lol
rip
Idk why it is taking the whole week..I ordered 2 components in aliexpress and keyboard in 11st(Korean shopping app), but that also comes from china ripp
Meh
ah
hall effect made by riskable
No one will buy it because mx is too popular
Nice
Can someone recommend me a TKL Board under $100, doesn't need to have switches or keycaps. I'll require good RGB as well
im still waiting for logitech to make a TKL that isnt low profile or their pro line (old, microUSB), or corsair to make a K100 TKL. First one to market gets my money
the new corsair k70 champion looks nice though its a little over 100, and has speed switches which i am not a fan of (rather have cherry reds or i'd buy in for an optical switch)
Is it hotswappable?
no their k70 champion is either silver or red - or so they claim. if you find the reds for purchase literally anywhere please let me know cause im pretty sure they only sent their k70c red boards to reviewers they dont exist anywhere else
i guess you could get a g pro x
https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/gaming-keyboards/pro-x-gaming-keyboard.html $50 over budget
RK84?
It's a 75% though.
But it's definitely under budget.
There's also the GMMK.
Which comes in a TKL layout.
How's the RGB?
Not sure if this is the correct tc, but what are some good and affordable macro pads? ~9 switches
3x3
im waiting for my barebones ctrl to arrive so i can put my switches in and everything
i have some durock plate-mount stabilisers arriving today, and a giant bag of durock yellows sitting next to me
It's nice, actually. Software is ass but I don't think you'll be using it too often since you can change your lighting motions directly from the keyboard.
GMMK is probably the better of the two
Oh I see, alright thanks for the recommendation
Does it have good RGB?
Then it's alright
Hoping to find good rgb on a board
I would buy them if they are affordable enough
Is kbd67 lite r2+ kinetic labs husky+ gmk trufelschvein good combo
Gotta try it, unfortunately.
Rate my build?
I love me a good 1% board
it's durock yellows and kbdfans dye-subbed keycaps

pretty high-end components
super smooth actuation
though it's a bit rattly cause there's no stabilizers
Not really into 0.5% boards myself
Probably the most compact wireless board I've seen though
@worn storm it's 1%
Stabs and a micro-controller might get ya to a full percent, as is thats gotta be a sub-percent board.
it's really compact though
Imagine its prone to flipping over while gaming though
no i use tape
Aesthetics are good, idk about functionality though
Yo i got a anne pro 2 that im tryin to connect to bluetooth. Its connected but it wont type
Wired works fine tho
neoprene, eva or sorborthane
Thanks, that was fast :D
whyd you go anne pro 2?
If you dont manage to find it cheap use sponges, worked for me since its basically identical
Atleast for me it was better performing than packaging foam
Damn I didn't thought about sponge
I have a shit ton of sponge
thats a good idea
I'm getting a package soon, so I'll probably use the foam off of that
but if you say they are identical, I'll use the sponge 🙂
https://soundcloud.com/den-fi/redragon-k605-stock Giant Redragon board
Redragon K605 Giant Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Outemu Blue Switch. It's absolutely sillly.. I should hate it. I love it.
Lol its weird no one reccomends it in my region the weird black foam is nowhere to be found
I am looking to buy the gk61 keyboard in red does any 1 have pictures of it??
What is that price in dollars?
8usd
It's 10 usd but 2usd off

What do I need to lube my gat reds?
a switch opener or a pair of tweezer or a flathead screwdriver
then a brush and some lube like krytox 205g0, tribosys 3204
What part of the keyboard is the shaft?
prob the switch?
common mis translation from chinese
Other than brown, or blue, what's a great tactile switch?
boba tu4 or durock t1
Ahh ok thanks
boba u4ts
correction for droy
is the Keychron k6 with the red switch a good keyboard
What lube is great for a balance of smooth and tactile?
On a tactile? Tribosys 320...3? I'm blanking out here.
It's either the 3203 or the 3204.
OK then thanks!
yes indeed thanx ...
yea its fine
yea its fine
might be a lil too big
How to make my stabs less mushy
@ionic briar Can I have a link on amazon link to sone good lube
And is 205g2 good?
Yes
For gat reds?
And whats a good bag lube for springs
And should you break in ur switches before u lube?
depends
What do you mean
Waayyyyyyy too big.
You can use one but it'll be much harder.
Especially if you're working with tactiles.
creams require break in
i have also heard tales of tealios being the best linear switch after being broken in thoroughly and lubed
from some very established people
i mean you can just use 205g0
just put some in a ziplock
just shake it
Gat reds
yeah you wont need to break in gat reds
who in their right mind would bag lube with 205g0
Currently looking for a TKL keyboard, I don't need it to be low profile or anything. Preferably to have backlight tho, dont want anything noisy, so something like red or brown switches. Do you guys have any recommendations. Thanks in advance
Budget?
So far, my budget is around 100 USD, willing to push it to 130 tho
That's GMMK territory, so you can try that.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Y53M9N1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I use this one in blue switches. It is a60% keyboard though. It has good lighting, battery life, and has a dedicated FN button for keymapping

@pallid trout I believe its outemu
Gotta look around then.
Yo wassup I need help my father wants a small budget keyboard for his tab s7 do any of you know a good small keyboard that has square keys ( we're Arab and have stickers for Arabic languages round keys are too small for sticker ) if any of you know a good one then pls ping me cus I'm going to sleep
i know this isnt the section but do you guys have any recomendations for a fps mouse?
Do you have a budget?
Change this channel to #peripherals damnit
late rep but not recommended as its more expensive than other vendors
where are you from?
oh good
hint, none from the traditional retailer
Oh crap
Nvm ill invest in skateboards intead thx for the help
Lubing too much of a has
-hassle
Now for shower time
Krytox GPL 205 GRADE 0 (205g0) is a very thick semi-fluid grease manufactured in partnership with Miller-Stephenson and The Chemours Company. Every jar of 205g0 packaged by KeyboardLube.com comes in a 3mL air-sealed container. 3mL of 205g0 should satisfy the lubrication of about ~200 switches.
but from keeb stores
@chrome raft
Ill see...........\
anyone have an idea how small of paintbrush do i need to use?
no 4?
yep seems about right
Should I go for smokey or clear transparent?
well its aesthetic
whichever is cheaper
There's no difference?
well maybe in sound profile but im not sure
Ok ok thanks
If they cost the same, which do you think looks cooler?
id say smokey
Ah ok ok thanks
And why are you complaining about it? Literally no one asked.
wait are you "keeb in jail"
yea
but you gotta understand that not a lot of ppl wants the customizability that custom keeb has
they just want something that works
thats a no 4 paintbrush?
I doesn't say anywhere
Thanks
max 100 dollars
yep seems about right
whats the lowest number brush that you can find?
im thinking the flathead size 4
that thing is smaller than the previous flathead right?
the no 4 one
that thing is smaller than the no 2 that you just shown or?
hmm why does it still looks so big
any brush thats labeled 02?
yea go with the lowest number brush
This?
yea
idk why it looks so big in discord
but common sense is that lower number means smaller brush size
thoughts on the Cherry G80-3850 MX?
how much is it?
i havent found one that was new lol
well yea for a reason
its discontinued by now
Yes, heard they are great
any reccomendations for a heavy switch keyboard that does not click?
what are some good gaming keyboards for like under 35?
gateron blacks
Whatever Redragon has.
Don't expect anything mechanical, unfortunately.
Thank you
that at least is the most common heavy switch
are you building your own keyboard @rotund slate
oh you want tactile?
I don’t know much about keyboard
because blacks are linear
All I know is funny loud click and not loud click
tactile has a bump in the middle
linear is smooth all the way down
It’s just for typing and not really gaming
do you mind loud noise?
well yea
ik
just being general
it has a bump
^
I do like the bump
Middle to late
I like pressure
Wdym mean by how strong
A weaker bump
Maybe like if it’s on a scale of 1-5 like a 2
I’m fine with noise
I just don’t want clicky like max blue
Yes
I like 2 better
Yeah
Looks like it
I like the second one still
Would you reccomend a custom keyboard or a prebuilt
Alright
I’ll try it out
Tbh the only keyboard I’ve tried is a mx-red
It’s better then the 10 dollar membrane that I had before
~80
I did like it
What keyboard base would you reccomend
^
I literally never use that side of the keyboard
gk61 is overpriced now
its like $90
but what 60% hotswap kit would be good
is that in his budget
I’m going with 80-100
The whole keyboard
Unless I can repurpose my old Corsair keyboard
bm60 is a good board
if you want iso
but how much are polia switches?
oh wow
big sale on those
get em while you can kids
I also see discussion of lubricants
yes
but you need a switch opener and a lube station..
that's at least another 50$
O RINGS!?!?!?!?
ewww
they do less t h o c k
So I would need a
Base
Backplate
PCB
Keys
Keycap
-!: lubricants
Basicly what I’m asking what is everything I would need
mmmm ok
case
PCB
Switches
Keycaps
lubricants
and switch films
That's the list
so you are new to the keyboard scene?
Very
ahh ok
I bought funny looking keyboard with nice feeling presses
have you tried visiting r/mechanicalkeyboards
you can learn alot there
why not krytox 205
5$
.
for 3ml
lol
3203
trybosis
then
dialectric grease
3203 again
why not
well yea
that is true
this is a good deal
10g for 14$
yea
if you are on a budget
everglide pandas are also good
mhm
is this the whole thing, will I need keycaps/keys/lube
what keycaps would I need. would anyt basic cherry based keycap work?
best 75%?

thank you
and you said desky lube films
where would I find those
is it a safety thing for the switch
It's to help with switch wobble.
Snowfox, gmmk 60 ... those two are ok
Depends on the switch whether or not you should film
Filming switches with really tight housings can cause them to have issues fitting into certain plates

do they make films for the Kailh latch or Outemu latch styles or is it still Cherry style only? kinda out of the loop on that
i think kailh latch is tight enough that you dont need films?
halo clear or novelkeys kailh cream
thats 2 completely different switch
do you want a switch that gives a feedback or you want a switch that just glides down
what do you mean a switch that gives a feedback
think about if like when you switching a light switch on and off
just that the feel is way less tactile and theres no audible click
or when you press down on your mouse left and right click
again with less tactility and no audible click
which one do you think is better in your opinion
totally preference since its 2 completely different switch
Halo Clear is a tactile that gives you a feedback bump when actuated.
NK Cream is a linear that's smooth with no tactile feedback.
Is anne pro 2 worth the upgrade over a gk61?
Looking for a hotswap portable secondary keeb that has Bluetooth, any recommendations?
euh id take the kemove snowfox
Anne Pro 2 is 50CAD
oh
then what a deal
sure youre limited to only cherry switches
but the build quality is pretty good
whats the price?
and the g pro is tkl right?
My current has gateron browns so its not a concern to me, no clue what switches the anne pro 2 has, most likely red if i had to guess
this is the photo they have of it, any red flags?
hmmm
how about the gmmk tkl, womier k87, keychron k8, hexgears gemini, keychron k2,
ehhh cant tell anything with that
can you ask the seller to download ek switch hitter and tell them to hit every single key on the board and then screenshot the result?
looks smt like this
without the print screen, pause break and esc button
I'll just take his word for it, can test during meetup or something.
cool
i dont wanna ask like a million questions cause then they just gonna leave me on read, its happened before.
Is there such things as fake anne pro 2s?
I
Don't really see why anyone would go through such lengths to fake one.
They're not even that expensive in the custom mechanical keyboard world. I'd probably fake a Cyberboard, honestly.
Or a Vega.
i know fake gk61s exist but even those are about the same quality as regular gk61s
Anne pro 2 is just ok basic keyboard ...
With some bad lighting through the black keycaps ... I don't know if the white one are better
i remember when there was that whole thing about fake Duckys going around for a bit
i think mechanicalkeyboards.com released an entire PDF on how to spot the differences between a real and fake one
Is there an software that you can assing an button to, that would like increase the volume of an video or stuff like that?
depends, usually keyboard companies (especially when branded as "gaming") have a good software
and if you have macro keys, then its even better
if you do not however, i'd recommend Key Remapper
you can assign a key on your keyboard to do something else, and even have software special keybinds (work when the software is launched), but do note that the key you assign cannot be used for its default purpose as long as you have assigned it
@chrome raft
key remapper is great tbh, but if you do have a software provided by the company, I'd recommend that (I personally like those more; they usually give more control)
Or you just use keyboard manager in powertoys
- many other very useful features
Not as smooth as others but it's still considered smooth.
Meh I've tried worse
It doubt it was really that bad
if you want poppy sound profile switch
durock pom is a thing
Unless it was dirty alps level binding
I was wondering if anyone here could recommend a good wireless keyboard+TouchPad combo keyboard? I currently have a Logitech K830 but the touchpad on it is nearly unusable for me since even the smallest amount of skin oil seems to make it think a finger is on it. Never had this issue with any other touchpad so it seems like it might be a one off but I'd still appreciate suggestions.
iirc you can get older magic trackpads used for not too much, i've heard they work on Windows as well as Mac
and for keyboard I'd personally consider a keychron if you want to try something mechanical
would you want it bluetooth?
cause i think Microsoft makes a media keyboard like that, there's also stuff like the Logitech K600
which one of these is the best
yes
