I'm currently looking at the Endgame Gear XM2WE which was suggested to me on another discord server
it seems like it is perfect for the job
optical switcches, big mouse buttons and (a singular) review on youtube for minecraft in which the creator very obviously butterfly-clicks
hopefully I can get a good deal on it used and thats probably what im gonna be buying
My previous Razer products have been surprisingly resilient so it makes no sense for me to abandon them
I accidentally left a running soldering iron on my Razer keyboard and it still works near perfect
Well regardless of my recommendation
Doesn’t mean it’s good
Most Razer products are pretty bad compared to other at the same price point
Just because they’re durable doesn’t mean they’re good
Razor products are in general kind of shit but really any gaming. Keyboard is kind of junk.
Can anyone recommend any split 60-70% keboards with HE switch support? Or an Alice layout even.
Not a big fan of Keychron, have 2 different ones - and they're just not good value for money anymore.
having a hard time finding (if there even are any) split or alice boards with HE
I think when you want something kind of that, no one makes value for money is kind of not the first concern
There are some custom PCB’s that allow to use HE
But really if you’re buying a hall effect keyboard, I assume it’s for the software so buying a random brand isn’t really a optimal choice
It’s why so many people use Wooting
There garbage but people like the software
They are
But there’s no good split keyboards that aren’t like $150+
Keychron is the only good split keyboard
It’s like the Q2 I think lemme check rq
Even 150 is cheap
I have one, it's the worst Alice board I've tried to date.
Unless it's HE - not interested lol.
I already have 2 custom builds in SMKeyboards cases with sneakbox pcb:s
Hmmmm
aliexpress has some alice keyboards (barebone)
I never understood the HE Crazy
But I’m not a pro gamer
same, but I wanna try it out, out of curiosity.
Last Alice board I looked at was like 800$ on Mech market
I’ve had HE and Sold it
It lives and dies by Software
And Currently Wooting and Keychron Win that race
Not bad very Gameboy
I have 5 or 6 boards
No Alice Yet as I haven’t found one I like enough to drop the bag on
I have 1 PBT Fans Cap Set but normally go GMK
GMK is still the gold standard for ABS kits
have a few kits
but for PBT, PBTFans are great, they put out some bangers the past 12-24 months
Current Endgame MX
should i get drunkdeer G75
noice! what switch you running?
(myself r/n: HMX Xinhai 45g)
Vintage MX Browns and a MX Lock
Soooo linears too, nice 😄
Also have a Board with Vintage MX Blscks with 90g springs
Maaaan, that's a workout and a half for your fingers
I prefer light springs, because I type so much for work - so my joints hurt when I go much heavier than 45-50g
That’s the 90g Board
I keep trying to upload all mine but the Bot keeps triggering
But I used to have a Norbaforcr
I have a board with Pyga
I think I have a few more boards, but I didn't have pics of those lol.
I was never that deep I do need a Alice
Most my money is in records
I love Alice
she ''cured'' my wrist pain actually
even though it's not true ergo, the angle adjustment when typing was enough for me to not be in pain anymore 🙂
If you want something on a budget - but that can EASILY be modded to improve feel and sound. Monsgeek M6.
It's nothing spectacular - but it's alu, hotswap, pc plate - like $110-115
and can sound fantastic without spending too much more on modding
Thocc's neo87 lol
Ye
Ever thought of neo ergo
Or tgr dolice
Those are 150-300 budget
they HE doe?
Dont think so, i have never heard of any alice layout board supports HE
Then I don't want it 😛 Happy enough with my Sneakbox+SMKeyboards builds 🙂
Well i think one is focus for "gamers" while the layout for those who will work on their keyboaed for hours
As they say down in Mexico: Por que no, los dos?

anyone got a good mouse recommendation that uses a webapp for rebinding the extra buttons and dpi presets? my g502 is starting to get kinda gross and now that I am on linux I don't wanna bother with piper or solaar atm and would just prefer something that works in a web browser like what keychron uses
I was looking at finalmouse but they don't got anything atm avalible
wlmouse looks nice but pricy
also the voice control seems to be chinese only and I only speak american so that feature would be ussless and also probably wouldn't work in linux depending on how it works
ooh that looks good thanks I wish all gaming mice now wherent the superlight mice I like a heavy mouse I am used to a g502 with weights in it
For as much hate and hype BS that they do.
Finalmouse is pretty damn solid. I keep going back every time I try and venture away from them.
Mostly because of the shape.
how many right hands do you have?
Lamzu and Pulsar, I don’t think do webb apps yet? But they do good stuff..
All of them.
lmao
Nah, in all seriousness. This is my main.
Finalmouse ULX small
Shape and Huano Blue Shell Pink Dot switches for the clicks
My faves.
Noticed that Pulsar has a webapp now too (they didn't last time I used my Crazylight) so the Pulsar X2 Crazylight is a good option as well - the only thing I don't like about that mouse is the battery life. But you can run it with a nice flexible usb-c cable and a mouse bungee/bungie (or how ever you spell that) and it'll have zero cable drag.
I wanna get the Fun60 Ultra TMR as my first hall effect experience. Is it a good keyboard and how's the quality seeing that it is way cheaper than a Wooting.
and also I'm getting the TMR one just so I can customize it more since it does allow support for 2 switch types.
what should i look for in a desk to have my pc and monitor on top of, my current one is wooden and is like sunken down just from my monitor alone
do a metal desk and put a deskmat on it
don’t take that advice seriously
but tbh, a desk is something you shouldn’t worry too much about
bruh
look at mine
u can literally see how its misaligned at the back
is it?
iml
that desk is really only good for studying and nothing else
if u wanna go wooden, go thicker
like at least 2x
?
Your Deak
It’s flimsy as cardboard
That aint wood. It's some particle board, and not even good particle board.
Idk what kind of budget you have or where you're located (country) but that desk will probably break if you try and put the PC and screens on it
So would recommend getting something else. Check Facebook marketplace even if you're low on cash etc.

I went to look and pulsar is currently doing a bruce lee colaberation XD
Yaaah, among other things 😄 They've done one with RandomFrankP too, transparent green. Looks sweet AF imo
if you into the transparent retro tech
Word
I have their plain black glas pad*
https://www.pulsar.gg/products/superglide-mousepad?variant=47089896784126
but I have the V1, so it has a red 'SUPER' logo like what the red version has.
based t14
its a p14
im only using it cuz my pc ram hasnt arrived yet
i didnt buy it btw
uni just gave this laptop to all cs students
they stopped doing tho last after last year
want this one the wood accents look clean as hell
The best keyboard for under $150 with wood accents
don't let the enthusiasts see these messages
they’re all dead
what
i was trying to send that message in minecraft unironically
You eat rubber
don't have to be
You can build custom/semi-custom anywhere from like $50-200
all depends on expectations, layout and parts picked.
What’s your most expensive
Pricey lol
Well that depends. Because I've had to import most things and pay a lot extra.
Except switches.
With imports fees and all for my most expensive...Maybe $550-600ish
Is not like 2021
The perks of mechs being ''figured out'' to a large degree
It's just gaming companies that can't figure that out (Razer, Asus, Corsair, Logishite etc)
Gotta get those numbers up
4 Digits or bust my G
True. But that don't include switches or keycaps and artisans.
wdym when I tried to look to a build one like 6 months ago it was like 400 dollars cad
for the neo 65
That’s Robbery
I’ll sell you
My Neo70
For less
In Canada
Wtf HAHA
its like 200 dollars cad just for the board
I also have a QK65 I would sell built with Frankenswitches and sounds and types excellent
I would sell either of those Without the Caps
As one set is GMk and other is a PBT Fans with all add on kits
If you are interested in either let me know
Vouch ^
But Neo65 is common on mech
Market
Cool canadian
I aint trying to spend almost 400 dollars after tax
not offense not really intrested in preowned stuff
Ok so your bitchy about cost
But also don’t like used
Checks out
Never mind then
With the way our market is 400 CAD is normal nee
If you want new and cheap, then the Rainy75 or Bauer Lite are two solid options imo.
Rainy is pre-built though, but can obv. be customized
Aren't there any vendor carrying it in Canada? 😮
Yeah I know
Us do tariffs on canada now arent they
in the EU it's carried by Oblotzky
so would've expected Canada to have someone carry it there too
Always did
most stuff for keyboards isnt in canada
Yeah no, you cant follow this hobby if u dont want to bothered with used keyboard
Nothing I want they still make
^
I never said I was following the hobby I just wanted a nice board lmao elitists much
NEO products are fine but paying Retail is foolish as there 50% on used Market as people realize there like Babys First Custo,
a Neo70 with Switches is like 170 CAD
On MM
Then expect to pay a nice price, dont be cheap about it
QK65 I would sell for 150CAD
V1?
Yes
I don't think that's fair to say when you've been given several options by people, lol...
They are like $40 here
Only 1 Guy we know has market cornered for VINTs
even audiophiles have less barrier for entry than this stuff lmao where you can get good pair of headphones for a 100 bucks
That NEO70 and QK are nice builds to
Sound Really good and those Frankenswitches are excellent
U can get that level of Qualirty Keyboard for 100
Its all about what you want
Plenty of people here like Cheap stuff
No comments on those frankens, just know that neo and qk are good starter boards
Ooo chifi
I have some Chinese IEMS
I mean started headphones arent like 150 usd is all im saying
Starfields?
Starter Boards are 150USD
I cant use iems they hurt my ears
Yeah,memes
Rainy75
Small ear holes
I actually liked the sound from the Starfields (hides)
I mainly listen to my big Stereo
maining Moondrop Katos
Desk is
Gustard X16 to Aune X7s to Sennheiser OverEars
IEMS is such a hack for gaming
When I wanna listen
😵💫
I just wear headphones most of the time
lmao
I use fiio ft1 or whatever its called
for my headphones
was like 200 bucks
cad
damn
reviewers say they are best closed backhead phones untill you get up to like 500 dollar headphones
looks cool doe
Thocky headphones
I also have a pair of sen 560s
but they kinda boring
no punch to them
so I dont use them
I don't use overears anymore, because they make my head sweat 😆
also, don't want head dent
bass enthusiast ic
I have this for a desk Dac https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/gustard-x16-balanced-mqa-dac-review.17419/
This is a review and detailed measurements of the just announced Gustard X16 Balanced USB DAC with hardware decoding. It was kindly sent to me for testing by SHENZHENAUDIO. The X16 costs US $499.
The X16 is based on the new ESS ES9068AS DAC which has built-in hardware decoding of MQA...
mate head dent aint perm it goes away after like an hour
tell that to tyler1.
ive never read reviews after seeing one try to analyze the graph for dogs to hear
😭
you know the popular picture of him with that is photo shopped right
true. I've settled with KEF LS2 Wireless, because smaller apartment.
i usually find some1 that reviews based on what they bought
I have those
those usually less biased
when you have other ppl living with you headphones are better
sure. but when he showed it on twitch, it was still a thing last I saw...
5K Euro isnt a bad Deal for em
thats worth more than my pc
I wouldnt spend that on a PC
I dont really game or anything so what I have is fine
I like to play my records
Stop investing that damn sliver shit lmao

you don't need to - you already have all the keebs you need 😉
Looking at TGR Dolice
Yeah this guy tell people to use playdoh as foam alternative
Good board doesnt need Foam
Yes
NEO is cheapest board you can go Foamless
If u need foam is wither a chinesium or cannonkeys
Which is nice
He is a hardcore miku fan
Waiting for Hipyos Linux Arch
Betty is on one and is on Zorin so thats a vibe - Arch and Tilers wasnt for her
I have keychron q1 rn
I like plate foam in some cases, but case foam in general - nah thx
Use PlayDOH
I did try Kilmat in one board for the office, holy silent.
I do wanna try, but seems like effort xD
Wooting needs Kilamat
might happen a rainy day though
Or it pings like a Banshee
HE ping 💀
No foam, no plate, no gmk, no problem
I want thoccs 98%
I have he board
I like a little deeper sound, but it's aaaaaight

Ah yeah you are missing out
If your board isn’t brass gtfo
Who vendors caps with DCS profile?
SP
Hard to drive a WKL on a Tiler though
Or if u wanna go a bit niche, WySE
US based?
Our new DCS Accent kits bring the precise 16° slope of R4, clean lines of the DCS profile, our classic Gorton font in striking new colors to your setup – a first for these accents. Available in three colorways with black or white legends: CMY (bright primaries that'll wake up any board), Mint (subtle enough for the off
Should cop this https://spkeyboards.com/collections/dcs-keycaps/products/dcs-black-on-white-copy?variant=49654604267798
DCS 2-shot ABS keycap sets are available in either black (NN) or white (WFK). Options include an all black or all white TKL set (87 keys). The 54 key Alpha kit and the 33 key Modifier kit can also be purchased separately in either black or white. Numpad kits are available in both black and white to complete a full 104 keyboard. The Alternate Kit...
Once in years thocc craved for this
That color way just gives me memories of Malibu sun screen bottles for some reason....
Good time to cop
I might cop 76 for a buddy and DCS Black and White for me
These metal keycaps were sent to me by Awekeys!
for the brass boards
almost forgot awekeys were a thing..
I prob would have considered the neo65 core plus if copper wasnt the only plate available to buy
copper plate ?
just buy topre bro
so simple and easy
Until you discover different domes
and springs
and silencing rings, and lubing the horrible stabilizers and dot dot dot (can't type more dots because the bot gets sensitive about it).
also need to drill into some boards to make room for MX compatible keycap sets
why does everyone like topre
the tactile feedback
You should have seen the topre board I traded and the one I sold
I’m considering buying a new PC and need recommendations for peripherals. I’m looking for a 2K monitor with around 144Hz. For the keyboard and mouse, I prefer wired options with the low input delay, RGB doesn't matter. For the headset, I want a wired model with good audio quality and a high-quality built-in microphone. Sorry if it sounds like a lot
Wireless peripherals don't actually have worse latency these days, unless they rely only on Bluetooth.
I think as a whole you'd have to be more specific than that, like budget for everything and if there are anything else you'd like or prefer over other things to get good recommendations
You want a 2048x1080 monitor? Weird
Don't be a pedantic asshole
I can spend 100-150 bucks for the keyboard, mice and headset, I don't really care if there is a dongle with the keyboard or mice or with the headset if that even exists.
For the monitor it's around 200, it's not a lot I know but I've spent around 1k for my PC
I could go to a HD monitor if needed
MSI G274QPF-QD seems like it could be a decent choice
Your not getting 3 nice items for 150
Headset , Mouse and Keyboard
Definitely not Studio Quality
At those price ranges just watch some tier lists on Youtubr
this seems like someone being too lazy to do their own research
It’d be different if someone said here’s the model I’m looking at. Does anybody have any suggestions or opinions?
seems very good, thanks for helping me out
definitely not HMX
PBT keycaps tho
not sure on the switch
doesn't sound foamed out
also nice iphone 16/17 lens swwapo
Disable macro control on camera settings
what price?
$84, bundled with m3 mouse
Does anyone know if there's any other mouse with a dedicated middle mouse button, other than 3dconnexion Cadmouse?
Yes - every mouse that has programmable buttons has multiple dedicated middle mouse buttons. 😉
Not quite the same... The location of the button on the Cadmouse is fantastic
But it's not as comfortable as an MX master
Location of this button was not part of your original question, thus my point stands. If comfort and location of buttons matters, you'll definitely want to include very specific details about that when asking if other mice with similar features to an existing mouse do, in fact, exist. 🤷
Anywho, I'm with you in regards to comfort - if a mouse / keyboard / headset / chair are not comfortable for you to use, they're not really worth purchasing. 👍 Peripherals can be very nuanced, especially if they're something you use for multiple hours per day. If you already like the 3D Connexion CADmouse, why are you looking to switch?
I forgot this was the internet...
Eh, it's less "the internet" and more about asking good questions. The more information one includes when asking, the better people will be able to help! It's what I tell the employees at work: help the IT team help you - provide as much information as possible, and we can likely solve your issue in one ticket response.
But yeah, are you looking to replace this 3D Connexion CADmouse with something different because ... it has some weird software bug or something?
I mainly look for options to the Cadmouse as it's lacking in availability for the wireless version and side scrolling, paired with the ergonomics being less than ideal due to my hands being to wode or something making my pinky get in the way of the mouse
Ohhhhh it's one of these mice - I haven't seen one in a long time! Wider than normal, and has 3x buttons instead of 2x, which makes sense when you're using a middle mouse button in CAD / 3D editing software all the time. Off the top of my head... I don't know if any of the major brands make 3 button mice anymore, so this is likely going to be a challenge.
Looks like 3D Connexion is the recommended option for mice with dedicated 3 buttons, otherwise people are indeed choosing the Logitech MX Master series or Logitech's Gaming series mice that have extra programmable buttons. For example, my G502X Lightspeed has 2x programmable buttons on top, 2x on the side, and then a "Sniper" button by my thumb. It's not as wide a mouse as the MX Master or 3D Connexion, but all of these buttons could be programmed as Middle Click.
Well thanks, I guess I'll need to experiment a bit
Yee. Experiment, or see if any electronics stores near you have mice on display. You might find a completely different model fits your hand / needs perfectly once you hold it.
not bad
Mx2a nixies on crp
Whats the plate config?
Also getting more vints soon
Alu
No foam, aftermarkwt rainy74 soldered pcb
Got any advice on eliminating the wobbly on a spacebar?
imagine your reddragon in this gif
problem solved
Ok rich guy
I would definitely have the funds to easily buy myself a brand spanking new mechanical keyboard without it leaving a massive wallet crater
Does anyone know where to get a reasonably priced thunderbolt 4 dock station dosent need a lot of ports
well, we can replace the stabs if it’s hotswap..
Is the logitech g pro x superlight 2 dex about the same size and shape as the razer deathadder?
I'm actually unsure about that bit. The stabs are supposedly under the faceplate
Tho I guess it's supposed to be like that. Sorry, I'm still new to this whole thing
is it hotswap tho
if it is, it's worth to check if the stabs are too
Well I'm more inclined to a DIY fix than a replacement cuz I already spent so much on the keyboard itself
yeah, then open the board up and see what's there
Eh... I'm scared of removing my switches all over again 🙃
I replaced its old blue switches with red ones
Keycaps too
If i were to build my first custom keyboard what would be a good barebones kit under $100 to start with?
It deserves a nice long pole
neo65
Lucky 65
Monsgeek m1
/ any monsgeek M series really
Lucky 65 / nut65 you can have it built and ready to type on for less than 100$
ideally looking to build a 75%
M1 then
mind sharing link i cant seem to find it barebones
in the mean time anyone else got any suggestions
Just search on ali or amazon
Monsgeek m1 barebones
thanks cant seem to find it on amazon just prebuilt boards but apreciate it
My cousin gave it to me after buying a new mouse pad lol
My cousins have never given me anything but the blame or a punch in the nose....
write a book
Your gonna have to go to Alli Directly
At the 100$ Range though a prebuit vs custom is same thing
That's how I got my M6, $89 shipped and ready
realforce r1 u will never buy a keyboard again
except they’re kinda rare now lmao
so good luck finding one
I severely doubt he’ll find one for 100 bucks
from being bullied by ur cousins?
it’s not that hard
possible it had something to do with it
solid piece of skull cracker
This is the same person who couldn’t find $100 board themselves. Do you think they’re going to search out a real force?
sounds like skill issue
I’d like to know what you’re finding and cheap I could bring them over here and resell them
topre is shit 🥀
bro wants to dropship my topre
lmao i got a 10th anniversary for 100 gbp
where tf ru buying from
you have to invest time
Feel free to send some links
Because even on the Chinese buy sites, they’re not that cheap anymore
im not wasting my time finding an 87u for u lel
they are
don’t know what to tell u bro
i got hipro for cheaper than 250
cheaper than 250
i love cheap things
like the panasonic let’s note cf-nx4
what a machine
Neo stuff is like new car depreciation
barebones though
how so
I missed on a Champagne Ergo the other day
That doesn't match what I've seen
same with every mx lal
it seems to keep most of its value
Its decent stuff
except like keycult MAYBE
I should probably just buy it new since they still sell the neo60 core
its almost the same price I just realized
I need to sell my Neo70
buy it new in the same sentence as keyboard is crazy
Buying any peripheral as an investment or expecting appreciation in value has always felt a bit silly to me
Yeah I know..... I like final mouse for the shape - and never had issues getting the one I wanted
because people here don't seem to hoard them
Yeah
I try not to pay markup for anything
Main think i would like now is a TGR Alice or a Maybe Neo Ergo on lower end
or any stupid vi derivative that exists now
this.
I got my Norbaforce Cheap and made mony on that bjut forgot it in a drawer for 5 years
1k cad value = 10 cad
unless u traded it for gold or something but i assume u mean keyboards
Traded my norbaforce for 6000 bitcoin
Never used it so traded for a different board
what board
Yes
can you try my text editor when im done with it
Why and what is it
give me like a week
why because i don’t have many friends online to test it lmao
what is it
terminal based editor
You need to start getting on irc
it’s not set in stone yet but what i do plan on doing is
insert as the default mode
ctrl/caps lock replaces esc
more lenient modes
no bro
i only communicate through email and irl meet ups now
i’m the ultra schizo
Guess we can't talk
i say through discord
Email me with ur editor
the editor that can’t load files
i’ll dm u when it comes around
i am pretty busy this week but
just ping in discord because I never check dms
Die
rust dev
I was writing c++ 2 hours ago
good for u
fixing some waybar bugs
as opposed to what
Any x11 bar from a protocol perspective is a standalone bar 🤓
even a separate process I bet
what possesses you to do this
how do you tell what workspaces there are
well if the wm draws it with like
idk xlib functions
would you consider it standalone
i just remember
to be honest i try to stay on 1 workspace because my workflow unironically fucking sucks and i should probably be using a bar
Was that supposed to be a built in bar for awesomewm or what
awesomewm provides wiboxes and shit
which i have to assume they just draw with xcb
and u make bars from them i think i don’t really remember
so i would call that a built in bar
yeah but technically it is standalone because its another window
you don't get to do it top down like if you were just a compositor like you could be on wayland
i don’t think they draw windows
i think it’s XDrawRectangle
everything in x11 is a window though
i do not think so
.pretty sure everything these days
from my limited experience with xlib i am 99% sure rectangles and windows are very different
I highly doubt any program you're using today is manually rendering using xlib
maybe something from 20 years ago
i wrote a window manager a while back
and then never released it
but now you have actual 3d rendering libraries like cairo or opengl
the window manager definitely uses xlib / xcb
3d window manager
wayfire
Not quite what I meant by 3d
But not for drawing windows and text and stuff
?
it does lol
XDrawText
you draw stuff yourself
I don't think that anything modern uses that
at the very least none of the toolkits do
what
dude read awesomewm source or something
or dwm that’s easier
i literally wrote my own wm
Why specifically awesomewm
i promise u im not full of larp
it draws a lot of decorations
but that doesn't really involve the same things
maybe for the decorations I could understand it
what
same things as what
writing a wm is a little different than writing a compositor
we’re not talking about compositors though
they’re very different yes
well i did mention wayfire as a joke
there’s also dmenu which probably uses xlib because suckless
It must be a difference with this ultra minimal stuff
every xorg window manager ever uses xlib/xcb
well that’s a lie
most do
the ones that don’t probably just use a binding of it
I'm only talking about the rendering being xlib
mainstream DEs usually put the panels and stuff as separate parts
instead of the wm creating a window to draw it with xlib directly
Got the skin for my steam controller
this is @fervent breach
yeah maybe for some chuddy de like kde
but i would call the kde shell a separate application anyway and kwin just so happens to typically run with it
it’s quite commonplace to run other stuff like bspwm under kde’s shell
anyone here have experience with hmx poro creams?
Does anyone know where to get a reasonably priced thunderbolt 4 dock station dosent need a lot of ports
I just got the Ugreen on Amazon wasn’t crazy money
U still have the link ?
2.5gbe
And other good connections
Thinking about buying myself a g pro x superlight 2 dex . Are there any problems with it that i should know about beforehand?
you should know that chinese mouse beat the heck out of that mouse
Just get a good mouse instead. Like something from Pulsar, Lamzu, Endgame Gear, ATK, WLMouse
They're all more expensive than the g pro in my region
And the g pro is at the top of my budget
Where's that? don't need get too specific - because I've never seen Logicrap be cheaper than actually good brands. Like, ever 😅
Local store in denmark
Bruuuuh, I'm your northern neighbor (Sweden), and Logitech is always more expensive here.
How much is the mouse for you down there?
So it's the old model then? not the 2 or w.e. they call it
Superlight 2 dex
Normally it's 1300
Interesting, that's usually selling for 1700-2k here
so pretty much the same as 1300-1400dkk
I mean, I still wouldn't get Logitech - they've not been good since the first G Pro Superlight IMO
looking for a high quality mouse, no known double clicking issues, and on amazon, budget of around $100 or less preferably.
my dareu a950 pro keeps double clicking no matter what I do and it's gotten extremely annoying. thanks for anyone who replies
ATK A9 Air
ATK F1 V2
Ninjutso Sora V2
Lamzu Atlantis Mini 4k
those are solid options, and usually available around that price.
This is slightly over budget, but a very good option IMO, Pulsar Crazylight X2: https://www.amazon.com/Pulsar-Gaming-Gears-Crazylight-Lightweight/dp/B0DVXD49L8?sr=8-1
The X2 CrazyLight is an ultra-lightweight gaming mouse, boasting an astonishing 35g weight. Its extreme lightness reduces wrist fatigue during extended play sessions, while the 8K polling rate favored by gamers ensures swift, accurate, and responsive actions. Featuring the advanced XS-1 sensor, i...
thanks ill probably go with the pulsar, i know some friends said their mice are great
i have semi big hands tho so idk which of the above will be the best for that
All depends on grip style really.
I'm not a tall person - but I prefer smaller mice
the medium would be more similar to what most people are used to, I would assume
but I like the OG (the small, which came out first of the two size options)
do believe the small sells more too - but not gonna swear on that.
i wonder what the difference between the ATK A9 Air and the ATK F1 V2 are, i assume ones lighter
thanks
the issue with my current mouse is it either double clicks, or if i drop it slightly (6 inches in the air), itll right click 😭 i wonder if their are any fixes before i press order
Solder on new switches
i fixed it with a little piece of tape
❤️🩹
still gonna prob buy a new mouse though
I have a Terra teevolution.
I don’t recommend
had the Logicrap that they based the shape on - had to send it in for a replacement 4 times in 12 months (this was in like 2017-2018 or so)
double clicks, losing connection to the dongle...
can't be worse than that, can it? 😅
No, it’s a fine product. I’ve just had issues with the 8K dongle showing up randomly as an unrecognized USB device and it also doesn’t track properly at 8K in hyper land but my buddy doesn’t have any issues so I might just have a bad example I got mine during the kick starter
Ooooof
Does come with a standard USB dongle for 1K polling you also get increased battery life this way I just feel as though I paid for the extra features I want to use them but it definitely feels like there’s some quality control problems now the ones you buy today might be better as far as the shape and the weight go. It’s fantastic.
Fair enough.
I run mine at 2k polling anyway - because I heard enough people say that was a good balance for some increased performance
without sacrificing too much else
Retired gamer now I daily drive an MX master four and I have a 13 button coarse mouse if I decide to wanna play wow again
I'd rather have an MX clone than give Logicrap any more of my hard earned sheckles 😛
Fair enough I don’t use there software
Especially on MAC
Do they not have a web app yet? 😮
The app on Mac cost you like two hours of battery life because it doesn’t let deep sleep
So I just use linear mouse, all the same functionality none of the bloat
Lulw
Yeah I'm gonna go from Logicrap to fully calling it Logishit now.
no holding back 😂
All the giants are falling
Hence why it’s Microslop
Folks only use it nowadays out of comfort
I only use it because some games I still can't run reliably on something else. Some games work for a while - then when either the game updates or there's a big update for the distro, something breaks and can't be fixed (but then might work again in a later update)
and I don't wanna deal with that 😅
talks in filthy casual
My nephew is interested, but he plays Fortnite, which does not work
what mouses are suitable for claw grip?
If you want to compare sizes ELOSHAPES is good
g pro super light I’ve heard is very nice for claw grip. I wouldn’t get that tho I’d get the Mchose k7
that's expensive even in china
i have the monka m3 rn
it's really suitable
Hey guys, any recommendations for a good, full-size, wired mechanical keyboard? Keep getting bogged down in Amazon reviews.
Lemokey x series for cheaper alternative. Keychron K4 HE or keychron C2 pro
Hmmm
Maybe like Mchose M7 then
Might be kinda like tall tho
So Mchose L7 pro should be shorter
yeah i do prefer that
might pick up the plus versions though as i think the normie version may be too small
TY!
We need more mice with fourty three buttons on the side. I want option, dammit.
Even better, more wireless mice that take double-A batteries. I use recharable double-As. I hate having pointless Li-Ion batteries that are made to be difficult to replace in everything.
Even better, both of those things in one.
Guys I’m in distress. I have no clue where any of my stuff should go. I’m not the greatest organizer. Any help?
i know i shouldn't
i know it's probably a piece of shit
but goddamn i want it so bad
Anyone know of a good monitor arm ( preferably a clamped desk one) for a monitor this size (https://www.argos.co.uk/product/7638248 )
I use https://a.co/d/06r4yzHG
The keyboard is ass: the steam deck is fine
well i mean that depends largely wether you want to move it around or have it completely static
because if you dont move it at all getting a generic static arm is much cheaper than getting one with a gas spring and also if your desk is right against a wall they wouldnt work out well anyways
Dude that monitor is 8kg. Virtually all monitor arms will handle that easily
So don't over spec on a monitor arm. Because you will never be able to stop it from springing up to its max height and tilt
don’t also underspec on a monitor arm
cheap ones tend to come loose, some have really basic mechanism like sometimes just friction, tend to break like the soft padding stuck to the metal that make contact with your table so the clamp doesn’t make grooves on your table which can come sliding off if they use a shitty or impractical adhesive
the list goes on up to your monitor crashing down because a spring decided to yeet itself
yes very unlikely but… it’s not like i haven’t experienced the first three mentions
Anyone can help me find a cable like this, except without the USB type A? My PC has a type C port that supports fast charging and can power the screen.
Looking for recommendations on a handshake grip mouse -- not logitech (I despise their G-Hub and Logi Options software; I shouldn't have to create a Logitech account or get on the Internet to use the extra buttons on my mouse)
Minimum 5 buttons + a scroll wheel, more buttons are better
is handshake grip like palm grip or smth
“Vertical”? Idk. Like this.
mx master doesnt need g hub i think
https://www.logitech.com/en-us/mx/master-series.html
MX Master uses Logi options. Just as awful. The Logitech hardware is good but I’m not dealing with dumb cloud nonsense for a peripheral.
the hardware is bad*
125hz polling rate
purposeful obsolecence so you also buy their gaming gear
I mean I am not gonna disagree … but my trackball mx ergo is at least decently built. But the shitty software put me off Logitech products forever regardless so same result.
Yup
maybe 10-20 years ago
I mean it’s not difficult to make a five button mouse which doesn’t require special software but ¯_(ツ)_/¯
there is the recent mouse that support custom actuation though
might save them for me
Custom actuation?
What is
x2 super strike
altough it’s going to be the first mainstream option that’ll be available basicly everywhere
i can give them that
keychron has, but their bq is questionable
prices are better though than logi
I see their handshake grip mouse — looks nice — it says there’s an “online” customizer? Happy to not install something so I guess it what… uploads a customization to the mouse?
Questionable how?
Keychron mice are pretty bad
How so?
There’s better for the price
And keychron focused more on keyboards and doesn’t put much effort to mice
Which is good
Cuz they’re keyboards are good
It’s very hard to have good keyboards and mice at the same time
… such as?
Well what’s your budget
Under $100. Want a handshake grip mouse and NOT Logitech. Minimum five buttons an no cloud account nonsense required for configuration.
Handshake grip? Like vertical?
Wired + wireless ideally. It’s gonna live at my desk and I don’t really need something with a battery
And I don’t really need wireless if I am being honest
Logi options and g-hub suck ass. I shouldn’t need an ACCOUNT to configure my hardware. Poor to nonexistent Linux support. Poor Mac support.
I’m not going to entertain any suggestion of Logitech
Then Keychron M5 prob
Logitech has the only real good vertical mice but I get why you wouldn’t want one
they have ergo mouses
yes their non ergos are not worth it
I just meant compared to the competition
They are decent
But Logitech kinda dominated the vertical mouse market
their ergo mouses are competitive
Ehhh
what is then
Well fwiw I go tmy keychron today and I like it overall.
The side scroll wheel has an odd sticking point, but that's my biggest complaint
For context, my old Razer mouse also did the same thing out of the box so 🤷
ergo sucks
So does carpal tunnel & tendonitis 😂
they're at the age where they can spend a whole summer vacation gaming on a metal folding chair and be perfectly fine
Meanwhile I’m at the age where I think I can and I absolutely can NOT
i took off the back stand and icl it doesnt look like the past ones that could connect to arms and mounts
anyone know why i have a 144hz cap on a 280hz monitor? i disabled vsyc on the monitor and in nvidia control center. im using a 2.1 hdmi cable
Logitech
What is your cable rated for
Cuz the max at 4k is 144hz with 2.1 hdmi
iirc
Create a post in #1027757333117415424 with your full system specs (make and model of all parts), a description of the issue and any error messages observed, and any troubleshooting steps you've tried and their outcomes, then patiently await a response from a volunteer.
logitech is intentionally holding their ergo mouses back
Logitech is intentionally making shitty configurator software which requires an account so they can harvest your data.
THere are zero reasons why I should need to give a company my personal information in order to fully utilize the product I have purchased.
TBF I really like the hardware on the ergo mx trackball (I forget the exact model name), but the software is dog water
125hz polling rate lol
you could argue it saves battery life
Logishit likes living in the past.
but then they don’t use the most power efficient mcu + sensor
also they don’t allow you to increase the polling rate to something bit more reasonable like at least 250hz
i mean their profit margins say otherwise 😂
marketing sadly works
buut gotta mention the x2 super strike
yes, marketing and people accepting shit - too many e-sports team and youtubers/influencers sponsored by them, and it sadly sells.
*shrug ig the other thing that frustrates me is that finding a wired mouse or kb is a paaaaaiiin in the backside. Sure 2.4ghz USB and BT but nothing beats the signal integrity of a freaking wire. The thing is gonna live on my desk in reasonable range if a USB port. It doesn’t need a battery and if the cable is half a step about garbage tier it won’t be an issue to me.
The larger brands (Logitech, razer, uhhhhhh idk) all seem to only want to make wireless ones but I’ve had big issues with interference and bad signal which have always been saved by an actual wire
I've been on either a Pulsar, Lamzu, Finalmouse (for mice specifically) since...I think 2019-ish, all wireless, never had an issue what-so-ever.
My old razer black mamba wireless bits broke but it works fine wired. If only I hadn’t put it in deep storage somewhere
I’ve had some that were ok most of the time but eventually some thing would happen where I’d get effectively like a 15hz response time. Multiple brands of wireless mouse (50% Logitech maybe). Maybe my power is noisy or my house is radio noisy idk
I've lived in 4 different apartments since then - and it's never been an issue for me - and they work at 1k polling when plugged in.
I got a very soft paracord style cable in a mouse bungee for when I wanna use and charge at the same time too.
Oooo that’s neat
I have one for my mouse charging cable and one for my keyboard (which is wired, because when I was most into building custom keyboards, wireless + battery was a hassle to import and had a much higher price tag).
Love that bungee!
Using my old phone as a glass cockpit
which one makes better mouse switches, kailh or omron?
huano
Seems like a you problem 😉
i’m ngl yall give horrible advice
ngl, I don't want to recommend things that I find to not be good.
tldr omron bad kailh bad?
to me, yes, yes they are.
does that mean scyrox v8 is a bad buy
cuz 1. shape good, 2. high perf
looks like an endgame mouse to me
Never tried a Scyrox so I couldn't say. But I simply don't like them Omron opticals.
the click feel is horrendous to me, and they sound hollow in every mouse I tried with them specifically.
but it has a good sensor, so if you don't care about sound and feel in your clicks, go for it.
Looks like a Logishit Superlight clone in shape? no? and I know people seem to like that shape.
would the VXE R1 be better? it has huanos but a small sensor downgrade and huanos
specifically the pro max
Where does it say what switches it's got? I can't even see it on their own store.
i’ve realized the pro max uses kailh, well, is the pro a better buy then, in your opinion? @brave night
The R1 pro can be had with huano pink berry, no? if I read that chart right.
ye
Personally, I'd go with that if those were the mice I was chosing between.
ic
thx for the input
i think the 3395 and 3950 don’t have that big of a difference too right?
tracking is 100 IPS higher on the 3950 - so it should be more accurate
if you can notice it, I couldn't say tbh
I've got 3950:s in all my current mice I own so can't do a comparison r/n.
like if I can feel a difference myself.
I think there's also some difference in dpi and lift-off distance etc. but idk anyone playing games a lot that's over 1600 DPI anyway so 🤷
true, so the difference is not as big as the marketing makes it out to be
Scyrox v8 is good
Mchose k7 is better tho
why are you recommending a mouse that is expensive even in china
that thing costs as much as a keychron
in tb it’s like 367 yuan
Today’s Keeb
https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005009118255614.html
Anyone knows where i can find this kind of displays for NOT so much money?
it says it weighs 40 tons
also hard to see how the different sizes look like 🙁
Must be some heavy duty shelves in the pictures lol
oh wait wtf... 140 bucks shipping?!

Not my favourite set but not my least favorite
Might move back to WOb
WoB just always works
Pretty much
Yeah, acrylic/stacked is probably my favorite sound profile.
This one (and my 2nd one too for that matter 😅 ) is an SMKeyboards case.
bought them a year or so apart, different plates, one is POM and one is Petg
got a switch couture one
with Gateron aqua zilents
Was choosing between the two at the time, but had more color options with SMKeyboards back then and official support for PCB:s I already had.
hmm, keygeek mz y3..
WKL just hard with a tiling WM
$mod = lalt
Thats a Viable Option
I Normally have Right Alt as Super as thats what my Keyboard Programming is but I suppose that could be a option as well
Hi, so I'm gonna be buying a monitor (1440p ~180Hz) soon, and my options so far are basically between:
24 inch vs 27 inch
Both are HDR 400 and the 24 inch has 1.07 billion colors as supposed to like 36 million on the 27", but idk if that even tells which has better colors
The 27 inch claims it has anti blur technology but the brand is ABS which I don't know so idk if that really means anything
But my main concern is the size. I've only had a 27 inch before, and I know the ppi is gonna be higher on the 24 inch but will I lose immersiveness in AAA games even if I sit closer?
Also maybe there's a way to tell which panel has better colors or smt?
For best results, always link to the product listing you're planning to buy so we have concrete specs to compare against. If you're not buying online, at least list the exact make and model of each product. I say this not to be rude - providing as much information as possible goes a long way to helping us help you!
Ofc, thanks for pointing it out
Quite a list huh

The only one of these I would even bat at eye at purchasing is the ASRock one. I cannot recommend buying off-brand (read: dime a dozen rebadged junk) tech items due to lack of warranty support should something go wrong. (Not saying it will go wrong, but you do get what you pay for, within reason.)
If you're just beginning your search, I recommend reviewing RTINGS "best" guides, if only to get a feel as to what you should look for when researching monitors so you can make an informed decision.
https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/best/by-resolution/1440p-quad-hd-qhd
https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/best/1440p-gaming-monitors
The best 1440p monitor we've tested is the ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG. It's a gaming-focused 27-inch display that's versatile for other uses.
Thanks a bunch. I'll look into it
There's also an AOC mini-LED on alibaba for $200 that I'm considering but it's a lil higher in price obv 😂
For sure, happy to help point in the right direction. As with anything, take the marketing claims with a big bucket of salt. Manufacturers make all kinds of "1 billion colors" and/or "anti-blur technology" claims without actually explaining anything about how these are achieved. Also, if you want to learn the different between panel types (aside from OLED), BenQ has a great article on this. https://www.benq.com/en-ca/knowledge-center/knowledge/how-to-choose-between-tn-va-and-ips-panels-for-the-games-you-play.html
I'm partial to IPS panels, only because they hit the sweet spot between expensive OLED displays and lower quality VA/TN panels, but also... I do a mix of office work / photography / gaming, so take your use-case into account as well.

So I bought this one, but I got it ditectly from the KTC website with a coupon from coupert, and for some reason they don't collect Tax so I ended up paying $165 total even tho the pre tax price is $180 😌
The specs look real nice too
Aorus CV27Q or Acer Predator XB271HU Bmiprz or Gigabyte G2QC all at a similar price which one should i get ?
Specs doesn’t determine if a monitor is good or not
Specs can’t show color accuracy and contrast
