But idk it should be an easy fix unless we have to replace the video board
Yea
Retail warranty is far superior to manufacturer warranty
My dad said I gotta wait till I get the monitor on Christmas until we can fix it tho š
and most manufacturer warranties are 1 year
Ye
Samsung warranty used to be 3 years but their qc is so bad they were losing a lot of money and changed it to 1y
Why not just return it?
Idk
Fixing gaming monitors is generally too expensive and pointless
Nah my dad had this issue with his g6 last year it was just a loose ribbon
It also might be fixable with a pixel refresh
Not acceptable though is this the g8 oled or lcd?
samsung in house qd oleds aren't even worth it, I mean they're good panels just bad qc and barely a warranty, they also charge more than others using their samsung panel
and they slapped a matte coating on some of their oled monitors

Donāt start the matte propaganda now bruh
Ts doesnāt change anything
Also Samsung qc is worth it cause of warranty and their competitors arenāt that much cheaper too
I can tell a difference, I heavily prefer my aw3423dwf over the matte panels like the lg 34 inch woled
Samsung doesn't even cover burn in
They do?
On their higher tiers at least
As far as I know the g80sd has it
Not sure about any others
depends on the region
g80sd had no coverage though
shit was like $1300+, matte and no burn in coverage, a wtf moment
It does š
Thatās my monitor model I js realized
š
I'm talking about the older 32 inch one
came out like 2 years ago
and the old g8 34"
so seems like samsung revised it, I remember when these monitors came out there was no coverage
good on samsung
Yeah my bad, seems like they've updated their product information.
Yea thatās the one I got
a 77" monitor would be kind of crazy on desktop
wait what?
So the monitor has a defect that your parents know about but they're just gonna keep it?
He knows how to fix it
So itās cool
why not just return?
Unless it's out of the return period
^
Thereās a butt load of other fixes that could work and if they donāt then itās a faulty video panel which is unfortunate
I tried that one in person did not like the matte, glad LG finally launched a glossy one.
although lower refresh rate
but honestly doubt many people would notice 330hz to 480hz
I usually stay on 4k mode even in competitive games
ain't sweaty enough to care
bigger jump than 60 to 144hz
asus is making a 4k 240hz dual mode that is glossy for $1200, out of my budget honestly
i think that may be noticible
there's like a .88ms difference between 330hz and 480hz compared to 10ms difference with 60hz to 144hz
diminishing returns the higher the refresh rate
who would have thought difference of 120% more frames would yield 120% faster speeds, meanwhile the difference of 25% more frames is 25% faster? crazy how numbers work
it is still an extra 150hz vs 84hz. i was looking at it additively instead of as a ratio.
It doesn't scale linearly like that, the period is an inverse relation
So the same difference in Hz (frequency), starting from a higher frequency, is a smaller difference in ms (period)
1 Hz = 1/second
and the period is the type of thing you're perceiving, the delay between images
The latency difference between high refresh rate is smaller and not as noticeable. Especially 330hz to 480hz. Itās not a one to one scale. The latency difference between 330hz and 480hz is smaller than the difference between 60hz and 144hz despite there being a greater difference in refresh rate
^ i couldn't think of the word, the "period" i was talking about is the same as frame interval
Yeah got wooting.
Xl mousepad recs? Have a stock razer viper ultimate. Budg ~50$
look at artisans pads. they are around 40-50$
this is the one i would buy
Just bought the wooting 60. Probably gonna buy that mp since my current ikea mousepad is dirty. Is the viper ultimate outdated enough to upgrade? Bought it when it came out. Or maybe new skates?
yeah its a little outdated today. good market for lightweight gaming mice too.
i have the pulsar x2 cl but its kinda pricey compared to some other options
Do you have any recommendations for a gaming mic that isn't crazy expensive, I have separate kz ear buds and wanting a good mic
Hi, i got the Brostrend AC650 wifi stick on a windows 10 system and despite installing the correct drivers, it wont work.
Any suggestions on what i could have missed?
are you actually able to buy one new for $50USD? I tried buying key83 and type99 after shipping and import taxes to canada is $200CAD, id imagine shipping is cheaper but import taxes is higher for the US
my friend ordered directly from wooting and was shipped a brick of gray clay
not even a fun colour
How lmaoooo
i would check some 3rd parties then, if you have import fees in canada then its probably gonna be hard to justify
do you not have tariff in the USA when buying from Artisan
well ill definitely be picking one up while im in japan š
so not $50USD
Mode Sixtyfive Alu top and Brass bottom, PP plate, no foam, black latice block, l+f nixies spring swapped with 55g 14mm geon springs, typeplus x yikb stabs, gmk tiramisu (until the gmk stargaze come in tomorrow!)
Lame
No need to update still a good mouse
People swear by tp but ive hated it
The top put is so harsh
Using this today
Lame
Was trying to get the saturn pro mousepad but its out of stock. Anyone have alternatives? Looking for xl mousepad
Ik the artisan but is it worth 70$?
Is there a go-to for 1440p monitors with at least 144hz? I'm not looking for anything absolutely crazy. I just upgraded from a GTX 1080 to a GTX 5070 and would like to finally retire my Asus VG248QE's that have lasted me since 2013.
My research has led me to an AOC Q27G3XMN. Seem pretty good for those specs and price
oddessy g5 was like 200$ on black friday
or you can go oled š
Still struggling to decide on a monitor arm. Need to hold 2 27" screens, want something that I can adjust without too much hassle but seeing some stuff like £150-200+ not really looking to spend that. Anyone got any suggestions?
Want to put them side by side too
https://www.amazon.co.uk/HUANUO-Monitor-Rotatable-Screens-Mounting-Black/dp/B07ZNGT8K4
This is what Ive found atm
At HUANUO, we focus on ergonomics. We are committed to improving office comfort and creating a healthier and more efficient work style. Our PC monitor mount with two gas spring arms is designed with a frame made of die-cast aluminum and alloy three times stronger and high quality. You can fully c...
the MSI MPG one is really nice
that's what I'm currently using as a daily
3x the price though
sounds like you already know what you want
To an extent sure, just curious if there's better options that might be more convenient within a similar price range.
Just went with the huanuo one, seems fine for my use case. I hope š
oled monitors r just too expensive compared to their non-oled counterparts which still have great colours
Skill issue
I'm eating right next to a best buy and just upgraded from a GTX1080 and considering getting it
does anyone have a good mini touch screen that connects with usb c
ive been searching but genuinely cant find anything thats under 800ā¬
pref something small too like not over 14" (35cm)
we shall see
itās gon get dirteh
dead skin and dried sweat in the encoder and on the circuit mmm
what keyboard should I get?
my budget is to around 125 euros, can go slightly above if its worth it
need full size 100% iso DE
No Idea about switches but from what ive heard Hall effect is good, just need something silent
White Color is pretty important, RGB is a plus
I need NKRO
So I looked at keychron and they have pretty good boards but the price for the HE boards dont fit
not really, no. Added a comparison against something similarly priced. https://www.rtings.com/monitor/tools/compare/samsung-odyssey-g50d-s27dg50-vs-aoc-q27g40xmn/60445/97969
HE isn't an option in your budget for 100%. the only other option seems to be the Wooting Two HE but its $200 US and only available in ANSI
Another fullsize is the Steelseries Apex Pro but i don't think its available in ISO https://steelseries.com/gaming-keyboards/apex-pro?keyboardSize=fullSize&connectivityType=wired&keyboardLanguage=english
Adjustable Mechanical Switch Gaming Keyboard
on sale in the US for $140
ISO + White + HE @ 125 euros is a very limiting budget. so much that i don't think something like that even exists
ditching the HE requirement likely opens your options considerably
Nvm
Forget the ping, if I let go of the HE, whats a good option?
Im in europe/germany so US sales dont apply to me and amazon is mostly my best option
probably something here then, with "red" or silent switches https://www.amazon.de/s?k=mechanical+keyboard+white+100%25+ISO&crid=CIMPYL2MUVVC&sprefix=mechanical+keyboard+white+100%25+iso%2Caps%2C144&ref=nb_sb_noss
Suchergebnis auf Amazon.de für: mechanical keyboard white 100% ISO
i'd suggest an all aluminum case, though I don't know if thats available in your budget
Well the AOC Q27G3XMN was the other monitor I was debating. I see the one you suggested is basically the same monitor with the one you suggested being exclusive to Best Buy, though from that same website comparing the two, they seem to learn more towards slightly favoring the one you suggested so I may get that. Thank you
Considering my current monitors have been used for 12 years now, I may push that price up to $300 and am considering the KTC M27T6.
whats a good keyboard under $100 for gaming or everyday use and the max size I want im not syure the percentage but rn I ha ve a 60% and its a decent size but i want a keyboard tats not huge but has F keys at the top
You may be looking for a 75% layout
does anyone have any experience with mchose or specifically the mchose g87 or mix87? i've been considering getting one of them
Hi , Line interactive ok for server pc UPS? or should i get pure sine
Save another $200 and get an OLED
Red Dragon makes good keyboards
skill issue, my current OLEDs were cheaper than when I bought my last monitors on the black friday sales
like 600 each
kapton tape goofball
or just be clean like a normal human being
Which ones?
I mean the current oleds
guys I need best headphones under $300 that can be wired and bluetooth at the same time, I was thinking sony xm5 for $250. Use case daily drive, light gym, hardcore gaming, work meetings, any recomendations?
Looking for some help with a cheap mouse i got on Amazon. The software is pretty janky/confusing and i'm not 100% sure what it's doing. It has an "acelleration" setting which i cranked down to 0 because mouse acceleration bad but the cursor moves crazy slow when i do. It's set to 10k dpi which is way higher than i typically use and would honestly like to lower it but it's just un-usable if i go any lower on dpi. What's strange is that in game it seems to function as expected for 10k dpi but in menus the movement is so low it's frustrating. Any thoughts?
everything I find is either not full size or just not white
MSI 321URX
This is definitely normal
Yes, most definitely... It's the all new TV with Line Feature⢠update.
For real
Me and my dad did some testing for a few hours and tbh itās not noticeable whatsoever
Canāt wait till Christmas
@timid horizon
Guess what arrived
shit's actually gigantic
Via compatible as well
Sick, Iāve got my barebones but the switches and keycaps are coming soon
If I like the layout I might try to get one of those for work, if I can get it quiet enough
But I want to see how this one does before doubling down
And what do you mean by via comparable?
VIA is a keyboard programmer that allows you to do layers / binds quite easily
it's a nice piece of software
Oh, cool, never heard of it. I might try to use it with the new one I get in cause there are a couple simple keybinds Iād like to change around
The city the ālineā might have been cancelled, but ur monitor/tv will never forget it
idk bout this one pal
normal alice + numpad seems like it'd be miles better
Howdy! Wanted to show off my bunny crt
Despite how old they are, the speakers actually work really nicely, aside from buzzing if the cables aren't happy. I'm also just about to attach some adhesive strips with Velcro to them so the heavier one doesn't fall off
Anyone have a recommendation for a mouspad? I don't need a big one for my whole desk just something less then 12"x12" in size.
Just get something cheap, I use my dad's old mousepad that is 3 years older than I am (it's from 2007) and it works fine, even though it has some cracks in it it's as good as can be. Put the money you save on the mousepad into the mouse, that's where the performance is.
I already have a normal alice multiple of them, this was for a colleague
Nice
š
Is that a Samsung?
yes why
ah the usaual suspects of dead or failing lcd's
is not an lcd š
4k 240hz oled š
their panels arent bad at all lol
only downside of samsung is qc
How do we feel about converting two of these for monitors
All in putting a vesa mount on and the driver board it'd cost like $350 for 2 of them
which is really good considering any similar panels are like... $800+ used
what's the best thermal paste i should get for my laptop?
how do you plan on doing that
there's readily available boards to turn these into discrete monitors
cause LG uses the same panel for a discrete monitor

I am dumb and broke an iMac Pro, this is my feeble attempt at trying to fix my mistakes. Don't do what I did, do not break this computer and have to sell it off piece by piece, it sucks.

You use this
oh thatās so cool
now i want to do that
do you have access to a mill and Tig welder?
it's gonna be a really jank casing if you don't
I'm gonna fill the ports on mine and mill in new holes for the connectors
no and i have never welded anything except a usb a port
very cool
The outemu silent lemon ones
Well I got that done about 30 seconds before sending the picture, working on the keycaps now, had a little trouble with the spacebars but itās not too bad
I do seem to be missing some keycaps though
The keycaps are kind annoying but not a huge issue. Not all of these make sense but I can switch those out whenever I see more I like. Iāll get her hooked up here after dinner but sheās assembled for now
Also didnāt mean to get an ISO layout but I can deal with that
Bc you got clones
yeah, i didnt get all the ones it showed in the picture, and there are duplicates, its not a huge issue, ill just swap some caps out whenever i feel like getting some different ones
Is this channel for mouse and keyboard only or will other peripherals work too?
all of it
I got access to a barcode scanner that was used on Redbox Machines and I have it plugged into my laptop
it was able to see through Secure Barcodes that have black out ink
I can see through the black squares with this scanner
Is the MX Master 2S a good mouse for office use?
Act like legit gmk would have it anywyas
What youre after is the āxt columnā
You essentially want these:
What do you mean?
your keycaps are in cherry profile
so you have to putthe keys that correspond to the row on the left of your keyboard
which would be this normally with the exception of bottom delete and shift
Yeah, but I mean Iām missing some of the extra keys, like the ones that were supposed to go on the far left and the extra buttons on the top right
Itās fine, I just used other keys for now, but they clearly had other ones in the picture that arenāt here
Im trying to get a keyboard and mouse for my pc that i am buying, before i was just using my friends old ones. Can anyone help me choose these
get smth flashy with ur bugdet
Welp,my keyboard is dying. How does one find a good keyboard these days when there are too many options?
realforce makes a great keyboard
Looks pretty nice but from what I can find it only comes in US layout, at least the full sized ones. Need a Scandinavian/FIN/SWE layout
do you guys think this keyboard would look good with white keycaps?
I am strongly considering trying pbs white blanks
my dad has used his daily for a good 5 years, and still does for his office job
they used to make swedish iso full-size boards
called 105u iirc
they were r1 and quite nice but now theyāre pretty hard to find
what do y'all think about this mousepad with my setup
and don't mind my games on my desktop
nothing much there
Discontinued:( looks like the options are keychron and mx mechanical
why dont u want to get ansi
Because I want my ƄƤƶ and symbols where I can find them
Whatās a good laptop cooler/stand I can use without getting external keyboard?
Anyone havve any pointers on what I need to do or buy for this to be compatible?
Screen is the aoc AG276QZD2
Mount is the huanuo hnds6
This is whats under the plastic cover
Anyone got any good mechnical keyboard recommendations for programming at work? I want it to be quiet and full size and either come with a good wrist rest or I need to be able to find one that fits it really well. This is going to be used on macOS, debian, and nixOS
I have mx blue switches and my S key stopped making a click
like it works but theres no click to it anymore
any idea
most keyboards these days are hotswappable, so you can change the switches to whatever silent ones you choose
also you'll need to give your budget
Is the kbd craft kit adam good?
A vesa compatible monitor
Right.. that's my bad
Ive seen an unboxing for thr screen which had a vesa mount in the peripheral box 5hsts why im a bit lost
mostly a gimmick
its an alright keyboard though
not worth the price outside of the experience of building it
could the rainy 75 be described as an endgame keyboard?
Just a more expensive inky 75. Just get that instead tbh
any keyboard recommendations for a general gaming (TKL/80% or smaller, preferably under $200USD). Currently on a Razer BlackWidow v4 75% and having issues with some keys, or should I go the route of just replacing the switches?
Probably neo 60 or 60cu
and on another note, I am looking for a travel keyboard for mainly my steamdeck OLED, but also a MacBook Pro. Was thinking with going a 75% or smaller from the Keychron lineup
Keychron š¤®
I havent really dipped into custom building keyboards yet, so I'm just trying to find completed ones, plus keychron is just at best buy and thats the only good tech store near me
anyone know about monitor arms
Depends, I have monitor arms but I doubt it makes me an expert
anyone have Recommended options for a 75% linear keyboard under $100?
I just need a recommendation
Another pic I found on reddit .
Assuming that's what I need to be able to mount it to my arm but I dont have one or know where to get one. Trying to look online but seeing alot of 3d printed stuff š
I have some
Neomounts by Newstar, all metal, they are decent, there are cheaper ones though. You need to consider the weight of the monitor, too heavy and it won't lift, and too light it will stay high unless you add additional weight
Aren't these 4 screws in a VESA pattern?

I hate that it's a Shorts video (vertical video is AWFUL on anything but a phone) but that's how the official VESA adapter from AOC mounts to the monitor. According to the user manual from AOC, the adapter should have come with the monitor in the box.
why is my gaming monitor so much more flushed then my shitty laptop screen
"Flushed" meaning... what? Like, why are the 2 monitors so different in their color reproduction? Impossible to say without knowing the exact make / model of each. In general, the LCD panels could be different technologies (VA, TN, IPS, OLED) and come from different manufacturing / factory lines. This will affect the display quality.
Yeah i just dont recall getting one and was trying to contact their support to get one, as I dobt see it online anywhere apart from third party ones at £40. But their support form won't let me send snything, goes to some random site after telling me to login
Sounds like it's time to return the monitor and buy one that both has VESA mounting built-in and is from a company whose support process actually works. #votewithyourwallet.
But yeah those bits are the right ones by the looks of it I just need the official mount cos the vesa mount on the arm i have is too big
I got the screen early this yesr so doubt I could do that. About January
Will try give their support a call tomorrow and see if I csn work something out.
Sounds like a plan. Or perhaps the adapter is still in the original box, if you're someone who keeps original boxes.
One of them is from a LOQ (Laptop) and the main monitor is a MSI Optix MAG27CQ, and by flushed out I mean my main monitor just seems to be over saturated and very white when my laptop seems to actually have some darkness and colour to it
I do usually, I threw the actual box in the bin cos it was at my exes but I kept the peripheral box & spare parts. I just couldn't find it at home. I remmeber bringing it though š just wasn't with the rest of my empty boxes so might have to have another dig
I heard good things about PBs
seems like a decent profile
Any keyboard can be if you're assertive enough
rainy 75 is I think near bottom of the totem pole of elitism if that's what you're asking
I haven't been the nicest to it if you look at the channel history lmao
Nope. It doesn't cost near enough money to be endgame level. /s
the qwertykeys neo series is probably "endgame" worthy
bad peripheral
pov topre user
pov coping
Can someone help me w this monitor
I plugged in display prot instead of hdmi just now
And my screens darker
Inky 75
go in the on screen display and adjust the brightness for that input
Iām looking for a good mouse, should I get the Corsair Sabre v2 or the attack shark r11?
It would be nice if the mouse was under $100 usd
Managed to get a case opened. The first person told me that the vesa adapter is not included in the original packaging, the second lady said it is. Got sent an email and filled it out so gonna get one sent out for free which is sweet
Neo and endgame
it's end game if that's the only thing you've been exposed to, but besides that it's an alright board
I would never buy one to collect
get the r6 instead, same spec, 10grams lighter
that is certainly a keyboard
Pulsar x2h or mchose a7 v2 ultra
pulsar
translation: I will kill you because this keyboard isnāt topre
guys between the logitech c930e and the elgato facecam mk2 which one would u recommend?
no i have lots of mx
okman
my hyperx cloud alpha microphone crapped the bed and stopped working. looking for new headphones yall got recs for like 100? should i just get the cloud 3s i see lots of streamers use them
wired is fine btw not tryna drop hella money on wireless headphones for my pc
over-ear or in-ear
Over ear
idk how much the Pulse 3D's are but they're okay. I've personally used those.
I mean at $100 there isn't much I can even suggest lol so just get whatever
I mean either that or you get a dedicated mic + headphone combo
what yall think about Audeze maxwell gaming headset for 300?
Should I trust a 5 dollar 65 watt "gan" charger?
if you want to
maybe itāll blow up maybe it wonāt
if you donāt want to risk that get something from a reputable brand
I got one for 20 dollars at gamestop...which is like the opposite of a "reputable" brand
does the logitech g915 x lightspeed still have problems with keyboard chatter?
yoo cop or drop
ugreen better
I already have enough, but thanks
It just seemed weird to see a "gan" charger for 5 dollars
ok
I assume most things online would work but anything you guys prefer for cable management? Since Ive mounted these screens the wires are way more visible and looks horrible. Was thinking of getting a cable managing kit with a basket to sit under the back of my desk to put the power brick and then get something to hide / neaten up cables. Only thing is my mouse / headphones wires are probably gonna be very difficult to keep neat. Mouse cos I dont want to tie it then not have enough slack, and my headphones I tend to tug even without managing it just because i move around on my desk
Cos I was thinking cable ties but theres not really anything to tie them too on my desk so not really sure what will work, unless I get something sticky hooks or something that go under my desk and put them through that? What would you guys suggest
Wires in question are obvious š
any monitor cables can try routing along the arms and just use zip ties, if want under desk they do make little nylon straps with 3M stickies on the back that can work well and pretty easy to adjust what goes where if stick a few of them down strategically
for headphones personally usually just use blue tooth if hooked to PC so not constantly yanking on a wire from moving around but otherwise would just plug into front-panel audio if available and works otherwise can just use extension
MCM is genuinely great. For a cheaper approach you can look at Ikea desks with the net below. You can recreate this with a cargo net intended for car trunk/boot and then use zip ties or preferably velcro cable ties around monitor arms.
hi all i just got a new keyboard its arriving in a week got it for a good price too
ok dude
They're studio headphones so don't really have that option
Should I upgrade my mice? I have Logitech G Pro Wireless (first version), works fine no problems at all with it, but considering getting the Logitech G Pro X Superlight Lightspeed, is it worth spending the money if my mice is fine still?
I mean to me it just sounds like a waste. You're replacing something that isn't broken.
Unless there's a reason you want a new mouse / youre having problems with your current one theres really no point to do it just for the sake of it
any recommendations for a lightweight mouse that is good and durable? 've had an attack shark x3 (logitech gpro clone) and it was perfect but after 4 months it stopped working so Im trying to look for a mouse that is similar but can last a lot longer than 4 months š (and also wireless)
magnesium alloy is heavier than most plastics
48g is also def a light mouse
also most mag alloy mice are holed
is the logitech g915x lightspeed a good keyboard? I heard it had keyboard chatter issues
whats the best way to properly light a desk with dual monitors, i've seen the heftily expensive benq options and I'm not sure how willing I am to spend that much š , my current lamp doesn't quite do the trick without shining into my eyes and/or causing glare
monitor light bar thing
ya but theres a tonne of options, any decent budget reccs?
only if itās dirt cheap
ur not smart\
Like 160?
like 20-30 usd
Is it that shit?
considering the high prices yes
not the cheapest lp wireless kb nor the best
what else would you recommend? im searching for a white mechanical silent full size keyborad
my recommendations may be outdated so iāll let someone let to rec it like @void geyser
i can tell you at best what is bad or meh
but not whatās good
currently
White and full size doesn't usually go together, best you'd get is an 1800 format

Message didnt post mb
Yeah 1800 seems fine, full size preferable thoug
Riiiight, 300 bucks is waaaay out of my budget, I was looking for something around 170 euros
maybe something w proper aluminum casing from aliexpress?
German stores (or amazon because of their return policy) preferred, aliexpress at that price point really isnt something for me
is that an mx thing?
thereās lots of white full-size
leopold stopped doing topre boards so now theyāre really expensive to buy
im guessing theres not much?
idk mine was 50$
when did u buy
might take the gamble on the g915 lol#
ah in that case, it changes a little bit
I didn't knw your budget so thought you'd want something more enthusiast sided
you would need some keycaps tho
but it comes with switches
I recommend this one, it's quite nice
Cidoo v98 also comes into mind
i mean it looks good, price not so much
not available in germany oof
what are your guys thoughts on going from a corsair k68 keyboard to the keychron q1 he copper since I'm thinking about as it matches the theming of my build and would sound way better than my k68
aliexpress also has alrighty return policies
but yeah returning is not good with aliexpress if you donāt have a reason other than you donāt like it especially if they donāt have warehouses/return points in EU
if youāre worried though about sketchy sellers (amazon has those too) if you want to feel extra safe you can record opening the package
aliexpress should cover like if the keyboard comes dead
Recently got the pro g super light 2 and Iām starting to get some wrist pain on the top inner part of my wrist, what are the best ways to fix my ergonomics for this, Iām allready sitting up straight and using a wrist pad and making sure Iām reaching down and not up
Iām only playing old school runescape for like an hour and a half at a time
my PBS blanks have arrived
to be fair i purchased from a chinese seller and they sent me parts not needing proof lol
through amazon
they seem to be alright
ig i did send them a screenshot of missing 1 though
so ig i did send proof
but little proof
yayyy what do you think
you're 500$ for a keychron
The surface texture is 10/10
Idk why the far keycaps become so overexposed on my phone camera
surface is very smooth
they are nice and flat and also fairly spherical
hows the gem 80
I need to do something about the stabs
they are very ticky
Idk whether I need to learn how to balance them or whatever
I'm not a big fan of the colors myself tbh but it's nice having a white keycap set in my inventory
yea but if it fits the theme def worth the 500
what is this tkl
reminds me of old LZ keyboards with the rounded corners, too bad its g13

so guess what i just remembered. i was looking through some pics from when i turned 11, and i saw that i received my deskpad that day. that was 7 1/2 years ago. this year the rubber where i rest my arm for my mouse started giving way. i should probably replace the thing right?
what was the purpose of the first 2 sentences
anyway if you feel the need to replace it then do
if it still works and you donāt really care then donāt
i recently got a temporary pad to put on top to stop some skipping before i replace 100%. love the design though. dark mode timezone map
and no, idk why i added those extra ones. sorry
anyone have any reccomendations for a 60% keyboard thats relatively affordable? My 100% takes up my whole desk and i always end up slamming my mouse into it
hopefully a mechanical š
budget? pre-built, barebones, or custom? desired features?
Prebuilt, no need for fancy features, max probably $50 canadian
I want like a smooth keyboard thats easy to press which i think is linear?
yo, what is the best attack shark mouse? x3,x6 or x11?
I switched the bottom row mods to the concave ones (normal) instead of the convex ones that i was trying out (convex is like spacebar)
What can cause a key to register multiple hits? I have a keychron Q6 max that is about 6 months old and the tab key when first pressed will register multiple time but gets better as I use it. If I slowly press the button it will register multiple also.
Dust / foreign objects in the keyswitch, faulty / defective keyswitch, twitchy fingers, etc.
would taking the keycap off and blowing out with air be smart or dumb?
It won't hurt anything... usually. I do this to clean my keyboards once in a while.
One of my keys was missing...
But at least now it don't have that insufferable typeface
hhkb pro 2 from https://buyee.jp/mercari

butits worth it because its probably the best keyboard youll use in ur entire life

Iām looking to get a new keyboard but I have two choices that I like. Which one of the two is better / preferred?
Steelseries apex pro tkl gen 3
Keychron Q5 HE QMK
x6 is my pick
I had x6 then r6
I dn't see my self upgrading from r6 antytime soon
White Wireless ISO keyboards are so difficult to get
what are y'alls opinion on https://akkogear.de/en/products/5075b-plus-via-iso-mechanical-keyboard
I know what you guys think about wireless keyboards, however I won't run a USB cable throough 2 doors
Would taking the switch out and reseating it have a chance to fix the problem? This is messing up my games. Or could I buy a replacement switch
Impossible to say without knowing what's causing the problem. But... since it's not working properly anyway, you could always try it? It might fix it, or it might break something else. Your call.
Where would be the place to get a replacement switch if choose to replace it
its a keychron Q6 max with the gateron jupiter brown switches
No idea. I don't buy individual switches. Since it's a Keychron, I would check with/contact them.
fair enough thanks
also software you could download
chatter blockers or unchatter
which isn't ideal, but it will work
You're better off just changing the keyboard firmware instead, but given its only happening with a couple switches I'd say they could be replaced
@timber zinc isn't that a hotswap board?
They don't seem to be sold in less than sets of 110 unfortunately
They're on amazon and on gateron's website, I guess you can choose between buying a full set of switches or trying a different switch if you like
Yes
did you try switching one of the switches from one into the effected switch
like swapping tab and q
Not yet
chatter can be caused by several things
you should try that first
the board should have come with a switch puller
Okay but this problem is weird its gets better after I press and hold it down for a bit
I was just hesitant too because I have never done it didnt know if it was hard or not
mostly i would be careful with those solid plastic keycap pullers
they can kind of damage caps if you aren't careful
It has metal that bends to go around the cap
i wouldn't worry about that then
yeah, just pull the caps off tab and a key you know is goign to work fine, swap the switches
as you swap them, check that the little legs on the bottom aren't bent
sometimes they can be deformed in such a way that it still technically makes contact but not good contact with the socket
I havent swapped the key yet though I just tried pressing the key down and wiggling it and EVERY times it registers multiple presses. Ill swap the switches soon
yo questio is the razer ballistic v3 pro a good mouse
yeah but why
I remember when ltt obtained a boom slang
@void geyser any cool builds for the chirstmas

Whats the best mic that has software with live listening no delay
What an affordable keyboard that has 8,000 polling, and Hall effect switches, last has rapid trigger??
why 8khz on a keyboard?
Attack shark ( according to people ) has some great keyboards . their hall effect keyboard does look really good tbh
Just got a new Razer Basalisk V3 mouse for christmas, I wanted it due to the smooth scroll wheel. As I thought it would not scroll incrementally. But it still scrolls by the line, is there a way to fix this?
Hey! Any recommendations for a QHD 240hz VA monitor without noticeable black ghosting?
Also in general I have a 24" 1080p 144hz VA monitor and want to upgrade, but unsure if I upgrade to a 240hz VA I'd notice black ghosting due to higher refresh rate?
get a wooting keyboard for lowlatency with hall effect switches
audio interfaces have this built in
through monitoring
what's your use case/is there a reason you aren't using an audio interface?
obs is low latency enough as well.
Guys im thinking of getting a new mouse. What do you guys think of shark mouse x3?
save up and avoid
get their r6 instead
Hello I am looking at getting a mouse I have an m4 MacBook Pro Iām wondering if I should get the Logitech mx master 4 or the Magic Mouse both are pretty good ergonomically for me but the Magic Mouse is more portable and has gestures where as the Logitech has haptics and several remap-able buttons and a second scroll wheel I will be using this for blender mostly (also I will not be looking at any replies going āthe Magic Mouse is stupid it charges from the bottom and doesnāt have great ergonomicsā I want answers other than that)
Which would you choose? 5⬠diff
how are they priced
125⬠for the black one
so like, do you like the black one more personally
because youre getting scammed on the price
I know, in other stores its about 160ā¬
those are 25EUR keycaps
No but im scared of white
imo i don't think the black one looks very good, but choose what you like most
is this hall effect or anything weird or just a normal keyyboard?
same, but i never really owned a white keeb+ i saw the white one in black and it looks even better
yeah, hall effect
keychron k2 he
ah yeah then Im sorry i know nothing about that stuf
bingo!
Its alr
Varmilo Minilo75 HE looks pretty nice
im quite limited in brand options sadly
https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/collections/he-magnetic-switch-keyboards
there are a ton on here
Hall effect, TMR, and other magnetic keyboards use a system consisting of sensors and magnets to detect keypresses, instead of a physical electrical connection. This allows the keyboard to detect very slight changes in the position of the switch, rather than just being "on" or "off". This precise accuracy also means that actuation points can be ...
K2 he is one of rarely proper boards keychron made
Arent most of them proper?
until u find out other keyboard better yes
Dang it idk what to get, i feel like k2he is an overkill

https://uk.govee.com/products/govee-tv-backlight-3-lite?variant=43554663628973
Is this any good? Been thinking of getting one for my tv (just used for series/films) not sure if theyre worth it or not - suppose that will vary per person though š
What are your guys recommendations / thoughts on backlights?
not really, we had these and it was so clunky and annoying, the phillips variant is miles ahead
Okay thank. Been wantong one for a bit just never actually decided on one to get as theres a ton at different prices. And also didnt want to pay some of the silly prices that are out there. My tv is only 48.
What phillips model specifically?
Had a look around and people recommend the hdmi sync ones but first one I saw was about £300, not really tryns pay that much
I honestly cant remember as its been a few years since i purchased, yeah it was around 3-500 after all said and done, not the most cost efficient thing out there.
felt like i wasted money going the govee route back then, could be a different story now though who knows.
Yeha I didn't wanna spend that much. Ideally under £80 ish.
Govee is recommended quite alot from what I've seen tho
Yeah I noticed that when I bought before though, seemed fishy considering how let down I was
my standard could also be very high as well? you might love it
can someone pls help me, i have no idea which keyboard do i get š
do you like keyboards made our of metals like aluminum or brass
litearlly anything.
Can prolly get plastic knowing where i live
Anyone have personal experience with the Redragon M901P-KS? It's on sale ATM & I really need a better mouse than what I currently have

Are u kidding me
wow begining at a pcb for a keyboard is real commitment
and i like how the article is saying what it works with
I can barely find any reviews on the M901P-KS, so I have absolutely 0 fucking idea how the build quality actually is
Then u just blind buy it

Hey y'all so I just recently got a 4k, 27", 160hz QD-MiniLED for £229.99 (Like 300 bucks), is this a good quality monitor for the price I paid? Is there any negatives I should look out for in my experience
The only one that has as many buttons that I want costs $60. Too steep for me
i mean other than that you could have found one for less somewhere
More expensive & with less buttons. No thanks
Really?
wild ass name
now being realistic the average person can find the mad mom or dad underselling kids setups
yeah I KNOW
Im looking to buy a controller for my switch 1
besides the pro controller, are there other options worth considering? budget isnt an issue for me, but I am still looking for best bang-per-buck
I exclusivley play single player (zelda, mario, and animal crossing)
could just use what you already like using and get an adapter like the mayflash
no
it fits ur hhkb layout
????
i donāt want an ec keyboard?
I am looking for the best steering wheel i can get. No limit on price. But i want gear shifter
u smell like burnt rubber xD
well, that tells nothing about latency or brightness, and those are things you may care about. But yes the base specs sound good for the price
By latency do you mean response time?
the Optimum yt channel has a video on his very expensive racing setup, maybe you can find something interesting there
yes that
If so, I believe its either .5ms or 1ms. Max brightness is HDR 1200 and SDR 600
the thing is... Theres also the individual pixel response time to a change from one specific colour/tone to another specific one. For very specific stuff like that I would recommend looking at the rtings reviews. Even if the overall response time is good, if the pixels dont shift color quickly enough, the image will be blurry
Also you might expect a display with an anti reflex coating to reduce annoying reflections.
Even if you have an OLED for example, if it handles the reflections really bad, you wont take advantage of the deep blacks
Its very specific stuff to look into, I know, but its some things you might care about
Uhh I think I just found it and pixel response time is 6Ms at 160Hz
No clue if thats good lol
oh yeah and also about the fps... You might also care about technologies like gsync.
Also, there are monitors that, even with G sync, handle FPS below the max (160Hz in this case for example) really bad, and add a lot of extra latency. Not saying this is the case, but there are some monitors that might have 6ms at 160Hz, but 20ms at 60fps (and not just because lower frequencies naturally have a higher response time, but because it adds even more latency for some reason), so if you arent sure about being able to run your games at max framerates, then you might also care about that
You can go to rtings and check every variable they test there, and you decide what you care about
I am thankfully able to run all the games I play at 4k max fps at almost max settings if not on maximum
Are there any keycap sets like the g20 semiotic but black instead of white or at least darker?
do u have a reference
In the eerie depths of space, a legendary relic has resurfaced and is back for a reboot - the G20 "Semiotic" keycap set! I'm looking for a good 100% mechanical keyboard with rgb, does anyone has a good idea, for around 100ā¬
Too white, doesn't fit with the rest of my stuff
Any good keyboards for preferably under 100ā¬
DIY(?
Do you care about the screens or do you just want a macropad
Edit:
A bit of soldering, a microcontroller (I use pro micro for my DIYs, they are $4), and some switches (gateron milky pro yellow v3s really are a great deal, its like $15 for 72), a 3d printed case and plate and you are good to go. Completely understandable if you dont want to go that route, but you really can build macropads for $7 and thats great
Any keychron keyboard is a safe bet.
Epomaker also makes decent stuff
Iirc linus uses a keychron and its standard in the office
I hope they have them in my country
Epomaker can ship via aliexpress and keychron is also pretty large
I got the Corsair k60 pro as rgb, itās good, feels nice, but the keycaps are not not hotswapable and they have a sort of plastic feel on the switches, but other wise I love it. It was 60 usd.
Keychron exist for me but wich model
The one that fits you the best
Boiii
There isnt really a large quality difference between the models
Just buy the size that you need
or you might want one with short travel keys instead of one with standard switches
they also sell those
anything from the K or Q series is fine
Personally I have never tested anything from the other series, but the standard of quality is high and you get good customer support from what ive heard
I found a k3
Do you know what it sounds like
I have personally used a K3 with brown switches and it sounds okay (I am a keyboard nerd, so okay = very good for most people)
In any case I would recommend listening to its sound in any YT video. There should be plenty about keychron products
Be wary that thats a keyboard that uses switches with low travel distance. Not saying its bad, its about preference, and I am pointing it out just in case
Sounds very clicky
Almost no keyboard with an open case with low profile switches will sound deep
if you are looking for a low profile keyboard, Lofree has some good offerings
Those have a deep sound that I like
I tought about the f75 from epomaker
thats a very popular option!
But a guy said it can die on itself
oop
I wonder whats the failure %
As I said, its a very popular option. If its 1 in a million well... Its probably fine.
But yes do your own research on that
Mkay
I believe epomaker are chinese so idk if I would trust support to be that good, also idk which warranties they offer, as Ive never bought from them (I have used an Aula F75 tho, and it was also okay)
What would I know. I am a moderator in the DrunkDeer discord lol
I have an A75 Pro with me rn.
Its good BUT
DrunkDeer has had very bad RMA problems with their first gen keyboards (A75Pro, A75, G75, G65 and G60)
The keyboards do brick (break) for LOTS of people (its around 2%, but thats still crazy high), and if you are not under warranty, you will not receive a free replacement part (standard warranty is 1 year)
I sincerely cannot recommend a first gen DrunkDeer keyboard if you are not willing to bet whether you will be in the 2% or not. And it sucks because they are really really good HE keyboards for the price.
Well, when buying something that is not at the highest end, you understand you are making sacrifices everywhere, and evaluating those small variables that change between options is overwhelming
What I do in these situations (in general, not just for keebs) is just go for it. After all, I think that you/I will be happy or at least satisfied enough with whichever option is chosen
I mentioned keychron just because its really the safest bet you can make. Unless you are a big keyboard nerd, you will like the product anyways, and they are pretty reliable
Okay ill consider that
Also, I will mention that LTT labs tests keyboards
-# To be honest, I kinda think its a waste of time both to test those and to check the tests of those results, because technical stuff about keyboards is something that almost no one cares about, not even me. Those dont test durability nor customer support, which are two very important parts. I just mention this because we are in the LTT server and well, thats a resource you might be interested in looking at
Looking for a 27" 1440p monitor for single-player gaming. Budget: under ā¬200 in Italy. Any recommendations?
Look for a aoc monitor
https://it.pcpartpicker.com/product/Jp4Pxr/aoc-q27g4xf-270-2560-x-1440-180-hz-monitor-q27g4xf or https://it.pcpartpicker.com/product/JPKnTW/dell-alienware-aw2725dm-270-2560-x-1440-180-hz-monitor-aw2725dm
I think Alienware one is better
Though it's glossy, AOC one is matte
buy another keycap set then
The ktc h27t7p?
Guys is the 8bitdo one better than the other 2 here ?
I was asking if there are any that are similar but more black not white
Difficult to find reviews of that monitor.

Topre is the best keyboard switch ever
I know and imo that supports my point
i play minecraft like a lot on my realforce

Yes but amazon is the easiest and most known

great things come with challenge setoe
if youāre not willing to sacrifice your easy checkout youāre not worthy of a good typing experience my friend
well actually thatās a shitty statement itās just as easy to buy a keyboard from like
aliexpress if youāre buying sloptier
I sacrificed it and went to eBay and still got a worthy typing experience
But if u want topre
well yeah but you paid like £120 right
proof by contradiction
What the fuck is topre
thatās over double the hhkb i listed
yeah with shipping but on buyee its basically the same price
an alternative to the traditional āmechanicalā keyboard switch (usually cherry mx) regarded by enthusiasts as one of the best switches ever made
it was closer to $105 I think
itās electrocapative
USD not gbp
what i am recommending you is gods work buddy
GBP is expensiver
why does everyone think buyee is evil shipping
Im not an enthusiast im just trynna play Minecraft 1.8.9 bedwars

@trail bobcat I think in the end most keyboards below like the $150-200 pricepoint are basically ewaste, but the thing is you've been using ewaste all your life so does it really matter
bro all my keyboards i paid less than $200 for
what ru trying to say
i don't think there's been a real world case of one, but the f75 can catch fire
ur hhkb is ewaste I'm sorry
it objectively isnāt maneee
there's a video of one with a chip shorting out and getting incredibly hot
YOU HAVE ONE
Doesn't even have windows software and firmware with malware in it
I am using a 20⬠60% keyboard so what
@trail bobcat is this the quality you desire?
that's how you know hhkb is ewaste
my hhkb has been pushing strong since 2006
Yeah that's what I'm.getting at
not all Aula stuff is crap i imagine
buiying stuff sucks
